Surveillance Video of Charlie Kirk’s Alleged Assassin is Missing from Sheriff’s Office!

KUTV 2News had requested the surveillance footage of Robinson’s surrender just weeks after the brutal assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

Kirk is said to have been gunned down with a single .30-06 rifle round on September 10, while speaking at a Turning Point event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The shooter allegedly used a scoped Mauser Model 98 bolt-action rifle.

Robinson’s parents and a family friend brought him to the police station to turn himself in less than two full days after the shooting, after allegedly recognizing the weapon found by police and shared with the media.

“Our job was not to interview; our job was just to get him here,” Washington County Sheriff Nate Brooksby during a press conference on September 17. “Within the hour, my friend drove Tyler and his parents to my office, where he was greeted by plainclothes detectives.”

2News submitted public-records requests for the surveillance footage of Robinson walking into the sheriff’s office and any holding-area video.

“We do not have any records responsive to this portion of the request, as Tyler Robinson did not go to or enter the jail area,” a records officer with the Sheriff’s Office told the station.

The station reported, “Holding room video was denied as part of the investigation.”

When pressed with a broader request for any surveillance video of Robinson entering the building, officials suddenly changed their story, claiming the footage no longer exists because it was automatically deleted after the department’s 30-day retention period.

Specifically, the reporters requested “surveillance video showing Tyler Robinson walking into the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.”

“Our office does not have any applicable records responsive to this request, as the surveillance footage is no longer available after the 30-day retention period,” a records officer told the reporters.

The office stated the video was “never sent out to any law enforcement or legal agency,” meaning the main investigating agency in Utah County never received it, and no one bothered to preserve it.

Veteran Utah criminal defense attorney Rudy Bautista, who has handled capital cases for 26 years, told 2News the disappearance of the video is deeply troubling.

“For the state of Utah, we would certainly hope that this video is available,” Bautista said.

Qatar Warns Gaza Ceasefire On Brink Of Collapse After 24 Hours Of Israeli Strikes

Qatar and others are warning that the status of the over month-long Gaza ceasefire is precarious, and faces imminent collapse, after Israel mounted large-scale airstrikes on some areas of the Gaza Strip starting Wednesday. There have been several episodes of brief assaults over the past month, but the situation is escalating fast once again.

Some attacks have continued into Thursday, killing at least 32 Palestinians since the renewed assaults began. It all started after the Israeli army (IDF) said its troops in Khan Younis were fired upon, allegedly by Hamas or other Palestinian militants. But the IDF confirmed there were no troop casualties as a result.

This new flare-up marks by far the deadliest since the Trump-backed ceasefire went into effect. Hamas in response rejected the allegations of attacking IDF troops and condemned the new Israeli strikes as a "shocking massacre."

Hamas in its statement called the IDF assertions "a flimsy and transparent attempt to justify ongoing crimes and violations." Israel had very soon on the heels of the alleged shooting incident launched airstrikes on Gaza City.

The Wednesday Palestinian death toll from the widespread airstrikes came to at least 28 killed, with a reported 17 of them women and children, according to Palestinian sources. At least three more have been killed in ongoing strikes Thursday in Gaza's south, with at least 88 wounded over the last 24 hours.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry in a statement on its official website said it "strongly condemns the brutal attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip." Doha was a key player in helping mediate the Trump 20-point peace plan.

US officials have also frequently visited southern Israel since the truce went into effect, with the White House having since revealed that Trump 'pressured' Prime Minister Netanyahu to finally accept the plan.

There are some hardliners within Netanyahu's government who want to see the deal collapse, in order to pursue the final complete eradication of Hamas, and to ultimately open up Gaza to Jewish settlement.

Verizon Axes 13,000 Workers Just One Week Before Thanksgiving

Verizon CEO Dan Schulman released a public letter to the company's 100,000-person workforce on Thursday morning, revealing that more than 13,000 job cuts will begin today. The timing is optically displeasing, coming just one week before the Thanksgiving holiday.

"Today, we will begin reducing our workforce by more than 13,000 employees across the organization, and significantly reduce our outsourced and other outside labor expenses," Schulman wrote in the letter.

Schulman said Verizon established a $20 million Reskilling and Career Transition Fund for departing workers, focused on training, digital skills, and job placement in the era of artificial intelligence.

"This fund will focus on skill development, digital training and job placement to help our people take their next steps. Verizon is the first company to set up a fund to specifically focus on the opportunities and necessary skill sets as we enter the age of AI," the CEO noted.

Schulman's letter comes one week after the Wall Street Journal reported that Verizon was planning about 15% in job cuts, or about 15,000 workers.

Bloomberg's latest data suggests that 13,000 job cuts equal about 13% of its roughly 100,000-person workforce. WSJ notes this would be the largest workforce reduction on record for the carrier.

Zelensky offically receives US peace plan

None of the proposals have been rejected outright, despite the EU dismissing the reported contents

Ukraine has officially confirmed receiving a draft peace plan from the US. The country’s leader, Vladimir Zelensky, has expressed hope he will be able to discuss the proposal with US President Donald Trump “in the coming days.”

The announcement came late on Thursday, following multiple media reports suggesting that Washington had provided Kiev with its new 28-point plan to bring the hostilities with Russia to an end.

The roadmap reportedly would require Ukraine to withdraw from the parts of the new Russian regions in Donbass still under Kiev’s control, cut its armed forces by at least half, surrender some weaponry, and suspend its NATO bid.

The reported contents of the draft plan have drawn the ire of Kiev’s backers in the EU, who were apparently caught by surprise. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, for instance, argued that any peace arrangement must reflect the positions of both the bloc and Ukraine itself, claiming the US plan contained no concessions from the Russian side.

While the draft has reportedly left Zelensky “displeased,” his office provided a reserved reaction, expressing willingness to “discuss” the proposals with Trump “in the coming days.”

Huckabee denounces settler violence as ‘terrorism,’ but says it’s not representative

US ambassador also notes Israeli condemnations of string of attacks, as more incidents and arrests take place

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee roundly condemned the latest spate of violence by Israeli extremists against Palestinians in the West Bank, branding it “terrorism” and calling for “equal justice” and harsh consequences for all acts of terror whether carried out by Palestinians or Israelis.

In an interview that aired Wednesday night in the US, Huckabee also told NewsNation’s Elizabeth Vargas Reports that the perpetrators were small in number and not representative of Israeli settlers more broadly, and that Israel is dealing with the issue.

“I think there is an escalation,” he said regarding the attacks, calling them “acts of terrorism” and adding, “Let’s just be blunt, that’s what it is.”

Huckabee made the comments amid a rash of violence by Israeli extremists against West Bank Palestinians. Many of the attacks have targeted the West Bank’s olive harvest, and groups of assailants recently torched a mosque and, separately, carried out a string of arson attacks, among other acts of harassment.

According to United Nations figures, October saw the most attacks of this sort since at least 2006.

“Israelis can carry out terrorism as well,” Huckabee said. “But most of these people are not actual settlers who live there — there may be some, but this is a very small number, mostly of youth, angry and disaffected. These are thugs.”

On Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel “will take very forceful action against the riots” targeting IDF soldiers and Palestinians. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said the attacks “cross a red line and divert the attention of our forces from fulfilling their mission.”

So far, the Israel Police has done little to enforce the law against Jewish attackers, with few arrests and even fewer charges brought against perpetrators. There have been a handful of arrests in recent days following a spate of attacks involving well over 100 Israeli extremists, but no indictments have been filed, and many of the suspects have been released.

Huckabee used strong language to condemn the attackers, while discussing them in the context of Palestinian terror attacks against Israelis. He noted this week’s terror attack in the West Bank’s Gush Etzion Junction, which killed an Israeli man.

“It is a very tense time; we don’t want to pretend that it isn’t,” he said on NewsNation. “But there has been every attempt on the part… even of the Israelis to say that those who are committing acts of terror, even if they’re Israelis, they’re going to feel the full force of the law, and Elizabeth, they should.”

He continued, “The only way to bring some settlement is to have equal justice. “Crime is crime, terrorism is terrorism, it doesn’t matter who does it, they have to be consequenced — and harshly.”

Israel’s expulsion of tens of thousands of Palestinians from three West Bank towns in early 2025 amounts to war crimes and crimes against humanity, Human Rights Watch asserted on Thursday, calling for international measures to hold Israeli officials accountable and stop further alleged abuses.

The US-based rights group said about 32,000 residents of Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams refugee camps were forcibly displaced by Israeli forces during Operation Iron Wall in January-February. The displaced have been barred from returning, and hundreds of homes were demolished, said the group’s 105-page report, titled “All My Dreams Have Been Erased.”

“Ten months after their displacement, none of the family residents have been able to go back to their homes,” said Milena Ansari, a researcher for Human Rights Watch who worked on the report, speaking to Reuters on Wednesday.

The Israel Defense Forces said in a statement to Reuters on Wednesday that it needed to demolish some civilian infrastructure so that it could not be exploited by terrorists. It did not say when residents could return.

Israel used widely banned cluster munitions in its recent 13-month war in Lebanon, photos of munition remnants in south Lebanon seen by the Guardian suggest.

The images, which have been examined by six different arms experts, appear to show the remnants of two different types of Israeli cluster munitions found in three different locations: south of the Litani River in the forested valleys of Wadi Zibqin, Wadi Barghouz and Wadi Deir Siryan.

The evidence is the first indication that Israel has used cluster munitions in nearly two decades since it employed them in the 2006 Lebanon war. It would also be the first time that Israel was known to have used the two new types of cluster munitions found – the 155mm M999 Barak Eitan and 227mm Ra’am Eitan guided missiles.

Cluster munitions are container bombs which release many smaller submunitions, small “bomblets”, over a wide area the size of several football fields. The use of cluster munitions is widely banned as up to 40% of submunitions do not explode upon impact, posing a danger to civilians who might later stumble upon them and be killed when they explode.

To date, 124 states have joined the convention on cluster munitions, which forbids their use, production and transfer. Israel is not a party to the convention and is not bound by it.

“We believe the use of cluster munitions is always in conflict with a military’s duty to respect international humanitarian law because of their indiscriminate nature at time of use and afterwards,” said Tamar Gabelnick, the director of the Cluster Munition Coalition. “Their wide area impact means they cannot distinguish between military and civilian targets and the cluster munition remnants kill and maim civilians for decades after use.”

The Israeli military neither confirmed nor denied its use of cluster munitions but said it “uses only lawful weapons, in accordance with international law and while mitigating harm to civilians”.

Aformer GOP congressional staffer for New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew has been charged with staging a fake violent political attack on herself.

A 26-year-old New Jersey woman, Natalie Greene, allegedly staged a fake political attack that included writing and scarring on her body, NBC News reported.

Greene made her initial court appearance on Wednesday on charges that include one count of conspiracy to convey false statements and hoaxes and one count of making false statements to federal law enforcement in connection with a staged attack. Each count has a maximum penalty of five years in prison.

“We are deeply saddened by today’s news, and while Natalie is no longer associated with the Congressman’s government office, our thoughts and prayers are with her. We hope she’s getting the care she needs,” a Van Drew spokesperson said in a statement.

On July 23, a female co-conspirator called 911 and said that "three guys just attacked us" while she and Greene were walking along a nature preserve trail in New Jersey, according to the criminal complaint.

"They were attacking her. They were like talking about politics and stuff. They were like calling her names," the co-conspirator allegedly told the 911 operator, noting that the attackers had referred to Greene and her work for Van Drew.

Egg Harbor Township Police found Greene with cuts on her face and upper body, and her hands and feet were both zip-tied together. Police said she was crying and screaming that one of the alleged attackers “has a gun” and threatened to shoot her, according to the complaint.

Greene's shirt had been pulled over her head and secured with a zip-tie, and the words “TRUMP WHORE” were written across her stomach, with another message that said Van Drew "IS RACIST” on her back, per the complaint.

She later told law enforcement officials that her attackers had hit her in the head, held her down, used a sharp object to cut her, and written the messages found on her body, court documents said.

An investigation found that Greene had paid an artist specializing in scarification to use a scalpel to lacerate parts of her body in a pattern that she directed ahead of the incident, according to the complaint.

Black zip ties were found in Greene’s car on the night of the alleged attack that resembled the ones used to restrain her, investigators said. They also discovered that two days before the attack, the phone of Greene’s alleged co-conspirator had been used to search for “zip ties near me.”

She was released on a $200,000 unsecured bond and other conditions.

Grok made several false claims commonly invoked by Holocaust deniers on Monday in response to a now-deleted post by a convicted French neo-Nazi.

X has not so far responded to requests for comment, according to the report.

Developed by Musk's AI startup, Grok is marketed as a "truth-seeking" alternative to mainstream chatbots. It has been touted by Musk as unfiltered, politically incorrect, and fearless in its pursuit of honesty. This latest expression of Holocaust denial is not the chatbot's first antisemitic outburst.
