The U.S. Court of International Trade incredibly ruled against the United States of America on desperately needed Tariffs but, fortunately, the full 11 Judge Panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Court has just stayed the order by the Manhattan-based Court of International Trade.

Where do these initial three Judges come from? How is it possible for them to have potentially done such damage to the United States of America?

Is it purely a hatred of “TRUMP?” What other reason could it be?

I was new to Washington, and it was suggested that I useThe Federalist Societyas a recommending source on Judges.

I did so, openly and freely, but then realized that they were under the thumb ofa real “sleazebag” named Leonard Leo, a bad person who, in his own way, probably hates America, and obviously has his own separate ambitions.

He openly brags how he controls Judges, and even Justices of the United States Supreme Court — I hope that is not so, and don’t believe it is!

In any event, Leo left The Federalist Society to do his own “thing.” I am so disappointed in The Federalist Society because of the bad advice they gave me on numerous Judicial Nominations.

This is something that cannot be forgotten!With all of that being said, I am very proud of many of our picks, but very disappointed in others.

They always must do what’s right for the Country!

In this case, it is only because of my successful use of Tariffs that many Trillions of Dollars have already begun pouring into the U.S.A. from other Countries, money that, without these Tariffs, we would not be able to get.

It is the difference between having a rich, prosperous, and successful United States of America, and quite the opposite. The ruling by the U.S. Court of International Trade is so wrong, and so political!

Hopefully, the Supreme Court will reverse thishorrible, Country threateningdecision, QUICKLY and DECISIVELY.

Backroom “hustlers” must not be allowed to destroy our Nation!

The horrific decision stated that I would have to get the approval of Congress for these Tariffs.

In other words, hundreds of politicians would sit around D.C. for weeks, and even months, trying to come to a conclusion as to what to charge other Countries that are treating us unfairly.

If allowed to stand, this would completely destroy Presidential Power — The Presidency would never be the same! This decision is being hailed all over the World by every Country, other than the United States of America.

Radical Left Judges, together with some very bad people, are destroying America. Under this decision, Trillions of Dollars would be lost by our Country, money that will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

It would be the harshest financial ruling ever leveled on us as a Sovereign Nation. The President of the United States must be allowed to protect America against those that are doing it Economic and Financial harm.

Nvidia says there’s ‘no assurance’ of final agreement with OpenAI despite $100 billion pact

• Nvidia said in its quarterly financial filing that there’s no guarantee that the company will finalize an agreement with OpenAI.

 

• In September, the two companies announced a massive partnership that would include a $100 billion investment over time by Nvidia into OpenAI.

 

• The comment in the quarterly report serves as an important reminder that there’s a big difference between an announcement and a contract.

 

Two months ago Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and OpenAI CEO Sam Altmanstood side by side in San Jose, California, to announce a historic agreement between the two leaders in artificial intelligence.

 

Nvidia would invest $100 billion over a number of years, starting in 2026, as OpenAI’s AI supercomputing facilities come online, the duo said. The timing of the buildouts and the cost of each data center weren’t disclosed.

 

But in Nvidia’s quarterly financial reporton Wednesday,the chipmaker reminded investors that there’s a big difference between an announcement and a contract.

 

=•“There is no assurance that we will enter into definitive agreements with respect to the OpenAI opportunity or other potential investments==, or that any investment will be completed on expected terms,” Nvidia said in the risk factors section of its quarterly filing.

 

Nvidia has been on an investing binge of late, putting its ever-expanding cash hoard to use, and financially supporting companies that buy its graphics processing units, or GPUs. In addition to the OpenAI arrangement, Nvidia on Wednesday highlighted its $5 billion commitment to invest in Intel during the quarter and its agreement this week to invest up to $10 billion in Anthropic.

 

An OpenAI spokesperson didn’t provide a comment but pointed to Huang’s statements on the call, including his description of OpenAI as a “once-in-a-generation company” and his expectation that the investment will “translate to extraordinary returns.”

 

“There is no assurance that any investment will be completed on expected terms, if at all,” Nvidia said.

 

The key difference with OpenAI is the scale of the planned investment and the benchmarks that would need to be met for all the money to come through. A source told CNBC at the time of the announcement that an initial $10 billion would be available to OpenAI soon to help the company work towards deploying its first gigawatt of capacity.

 

Altman said recently that OpenAI will end the year on a $20 billion annualized revenue run rate, which is a massive number considering its flagship ChatGPT product is only three years old. Altman said the company expects to reach hundreds of billions of dollars in revenue by 2030. But that figure doesn’t come anywhere close to covering the company’s expenses.

 

In total, OpenAI has announced roughly $1.4 trillion in infrastructure spending with a number of partners as it seeks to continue building out its AI models and services.To get there, the company is reliant on outside capital.

Despite the uncertainty of the September agreement, Nvidia executives continue to sound bullish on the company’s work with OpenAI. On Nvidia’s earnings call, after the chipmaker reported a solid revenue and earnings beat along with stronger-than-expected guidance, CFO Colette Kress touted OpenAI’s growth.

 

“OpenAI recently shared that their weekly user base has grown to 800 million, enterprise customers has increased to 1 million and that their gross margins were healthy,” Kress said. She added that the two companies are “working on a strategic partnership” and that Nvidia is “focused on helping them build and deploy at least 10 gigawatts of AI data centers.”

 

And Huang said, “Everything that OpenAI does runs on Nvidia today.”

 

An OpenAI spokesperson didn’t provide a comment, but pointed to Huang’s commentary on the call, including his description of OpenAI as a “once-in-a-generation company” and his expectation that the investment will “translate to extraordinary returns.”

 

There’s no question that as OpenAI builds out data centers, it will keep spending money on Nvidia’s chips. But OpenAI has also partnered with Nvidia rival Advanced Micro Devices, agreeing last month to deploy 6 gigawatts of AMD’s Instinct GPUs over multiple years and across multiple generations of hardware, beginning in the second half of next year.

 

The AMD agreement has one critical component that Nvidia’s lacks: signatures.

 

As part of the pact, the company has issued OpenAI a warrant for up to 160 million shares of the chipmaker’s common stock, with vesting milestones tied to deployment volume and AMD’s share price. That agreement was signed on Oct. 5, by AMD CFO Jean Hu and OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar.

Moss spores have survived a prolonged trip to space, scientists reveal.

The spores spent nine months on the outside of the International Space Station (ISS) before returning to our planet, and over 80% of the spores were still able to reproduce when they arrived back on Earth.

The discovery improves our understanding of how plant species survive in extreme conditions, the researchers wrote in their findings, published Thursday (Nov. 20) in the journal iScience.

 

Moss thrives in some of the most extreme environments on Earth, from the cold peaks of the Himalayas to the dry, scorched sands of Death Valley.

Moss's resilience to adverse conditions makes it an ideal candidate for surviving in the harsh environment of outer space, where extreme temperature fluctuations, altered gravity, and high radiation exposure push life-forms to their limits.

 

Previous experiments have explored how plants might cope in space, but so far, they have focused on larger organisms such as bacteria or plant crops.

Now, researchers have shown that samples of the moss Physcomitrium patens (P. Patens) can not only survive but thrive in space.

 

First, the researchers tested three cell types of P. patens from various stages in the moss's reproductive cycle.

They found that sporophytes — cell structures that encase spores — showed the greatest stress tolerance when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light, freezing and heat.

 

Sporophyte samples were then placed outside of the ISS in a special exposure facility attached to Japan’s Kibo module, where the samples lived for around nine months in 2022. After this time, the samples were returned to Earth.

"Surprisingly, over 80% of the spores survived and many germinated normally," study lead author Tomomichi Fujita, a professor of plant biology at Hokkaido University in Japan, told Live Science in an email.

From this study, Fujita and his team developed a model that suggests the moss spores could actually survive for up to 5,600 days in space, or around 15 years.

 

Back on Earth, the team found that most of the conditions — including the vacuum of space, microgravity and extreme temperature fluctuations — had a limited impact on the moss spores.

However, samples that were exposed to light, particularly high-energy wavelengths of UV light, fared less well.

Levels of pigments used by the moss for photosynthesis, such as chlorophyll a, were significantly reduced as a result of light damage, which affected later moss growth.

 

Even though some moss samples faced damage from the conditions of outer space, P. patens still fared much better than other plant species that have been previously tested under similar conditions.

Fujita thinks the protective, spongy casing surrounding the spores may help defend against UV light and dehydration.

"This protective role may have evolved early in land plant history to help mosses colonize terrestrial habitats," he said.

 

While this may seem like an exercise in testing the limits of a single species, the "spores' success in space could offer a biological stepping stone for building ecosystems beyond our planet," Fujita said.

In the future, he hopes to test other species and better understand how these resilient cells survive such stressful conditions.

'Existential threat': Israel to seize, auction Armenian properties in al-Quds

 

 

The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) says the centuries-old community of Armenian Christians in the Old City of al-Quds is facing an existential threat as the Israeli regime attempts to forcibly expropriate their properties.

The Armenian Patriarchate in al-Quds has issued an urgent statement, calling on Israeli authorities to intervene immediately to prevent the foreclosure process on its properties and protect the Christian presence in the city.

 

The Patriarchate is now facing a legal dispute over an alleged municipal tax debt from 1994. It argues that the debt was imposed arbitrarily by a municipal official without proper legal proceedings.

 

Despite multiple petitions, the municipality in al-Quds has ignored due process and refused to review the validity of the claim.

 

If the foreclosure moves forward, it could set a dangerous precedent, potentially threatening other Christian religious institutions in the occupied territories.

 

The move is also seen as unjust, given that the municipality itself owes the Patriarchate millions in unpaid rent.

 

The issue was initially meant to be resolved through a committee established under Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu in 2018, but the municipality has proceeded unilaterally.

 

The Patriarchate is located in the Old City of al-Quds in the Armenian Quarter which comprises one-sixth of the old city and occupies the entire southwest corner of the town.

 

Members of the small minority community of Armenians in al-Quds say they are fearful about their future in the holy city, as Israeli settlers continue to vandalize cemeteries and places of worship, with the support of the occupying regime.

 

Since the most right-wing Israeli cabinet came to power in 2022, incidents against Christians in al-Quds have reportedly become more violent and common. At the beginning of 2023, 30 Christian graves at the Protestant Mount Zion Cemetery were desecrated.

 

In the Armenian Quarter, vandals spray-painted “Death to Arabs, Christians and Armenians,” on the walls.

Since November 2, 2000, more than 290 people from 26 countries have lived and worked aboard the orbiting laboratory, conducting thousands of experiments that have advanced science and technology on Earth and paved the way for Artemis missions to the Moon and future journeys to Mars.

 

Beyond its role as a science platform, the station has been a bridge—connecting cultures, sparking creativity, and inspiring generations.

The memories of Johnson Space Center employees reflect how the orbiting laboratory is not only an engineering marvel but also a deeply human endeavor.

 

Christopher Brown – Advancing Life Support Systems for Future Exploration

As a space station Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) integrator, Christopher Brown’s role has been ensuring astronauts have clean air and water.

ECLSS removes carbon dioxide from the air, supplies oxygen for breathing, and recycles wastewater—turning yesterday’s coffee into tomorrow’s coffee. Today, these systems can recover nearly 98% of the water brought to the station.

His proudest memory was commissioning regenerative life support systems and raising a symbolic toast with the crew while on console in mission control.

He also helped activate the Water Storage System, saving crew time and improving operations on station. For Brown, these milestones were vital steps toward future long-duration missions beyond Earth.

 

Stephanie Sipila – The Heart of Microgravity Research

Stephanie Sipila, now integration manager for NASA’s Extravehicular Activity and Human Surface Mobility Program, began her career as a mechanical and robotic systems instructor for the orbital outpost.

Her favorite experiment, Engineered Heart Tissues, studies microgravity’s effect on the human heart to help develop new treatments for cardiovascular disease.

She recalls NASA astronaut Sunita Williams running the Boston Marathon on a treadmill aboard station, becoming the first person to complete the race in space and showing how astronauts stay connected to Earth while living on orbit.

Sipila also highlights the Spacesuit Art Project, an initiative that turned artwork from children with cancer into spacesuits flown to and worn aboard the orbital outpost during live downlinks, connecting science, art, and hope — and raising awareness of cancer research conducted aboard the orbital outpost.

 

Liz Warren – Where Exploration Meets Humanity

Space station Associate Chief Scientist Liz Warren has seen firsthand how the Spacesuit Art Project uplifted children on Earth.

During Expedition 52, she watched astronaut Jack Fischer wear a suit covered in artwork created by young cancer patients, including his own daughter, a survivor.

"It was incredibly touching to note the power of art and inspiration. Human spaceflight requires fortitude, resilience, and teamwork—so does fighting childhood cancer,” Warren said.

Her memories also extend to her time as an operations lead for NASA’s Human Research Program, which uses research to develop methods to protect the health and performance of astronauts in space to prepare for long-duration missions.

While out for a weekend run, Warren received a call from the Payload Operations and Integration Center in Huntsville, Alabama. An astronaut on station, following a prescribed diet for a research study, wanted to swap out a food item.

Warren coordinated with her support team and relayed the decision back to orbit—all while continuing her run. The moment, she recalls, underscored the constant, real-time connection between astronauts in space and teams on the ground.

 

Adam Baker – Checkmate: Space Debris Cleanup

As an aerospace engineer, Adam Baker helped track experiments and spacecraft operations from mission control.

Baker remembers when mission control played a live chess match with astronaut Greg Chamitoff during Expedition 17, a moment that showed the unique ways the station connects crews in orbit with people on Earth.

His favorite technical project, though, was the RemoveDebris small satellite, deployed from the station in 2018 to test technologies for cleaning up space junk.

“Knowing these experiments could one day help keep the orbital environment safe made it even more meaningful,” he said.

 

Michael McFarlane – Training for Success

As chief of the Simulation and Graphics Branch, Michael McFarlane prepared astronauts for space station assembly missions using high-fidelity simulators.

“My greatest memory is seeing the station grow as we successfully executed assembly missions that looked very much like what we analyzed and trained for in our ground-based simulations,” he said.

 

A Legacy of Ingenuity and Community

In the Mission Evaluation Room, engineers not only troubleshoot in real time but also celebrate milestones with traditions like “MERloween,” where controllers dress in space-themed costumes to honor the year’s lessons learned.

For social media consultant Mark Garcia, sharing the station story with the public has been the highlight of his career. His favorite moment was watching NASA’s SpaceX Crew-9 splash down in 2025, greeted by dolphins in the Gulf of America.

“I love writing about the science aboard the station that benefits people on Earth,” he said.

 

For 25 years, the International Space Station has shown what humanity can accomplish together.

The lessons learned aboard will guide Artemis missions to the Moon and future journeys to Mars—ensuring the next 25 years are built on innovation, resilience, and the human spirit.

U.K. Space Commander earns U.S. Army Space Wings

U.S. Space Command hosted a pinning ceremony on Nov. 7, 2025, at The Aerospace Corporation to officially award U.K. Space Command Commander Maj. Gen. Paul Tedman the U.S. Army Basic Space Badge.

Tedman earned the badge on Sept. 10, 2025, after serving 26 months as the deputy director of USSPACECOM’s strategy, plans and policy directorate (J5), from September 2021 to November 2023, and completing the required space training: Space 100, 200, and 300 courses.

 

Foreign service members must meet the same rigorous standards as U.S. personnel, including completing qualifying space training courses and serving in approved space operations positions.

“Today, we’re here to celebrate Maj. Gen. Paul Tedman’s awesome contributions to Army and Joint Space warfighting,” said Lt. Gen. Thomas James, former USSPACECOM deputy commander.

“Talk about a high-stakes impactful assignment for a partner. In the role of USSPACECOM J5 deputy director, his leadership and vision in space situational awareness; space control; and satellite communication strategy, plans, and policy, were vital.

His contributions to improving coordination with allies and partners were a game-changer.”

 

Tedman is the first British Army officer to earn and receive the honor. While not formally recognized by the British military, he can display the badge, paving the way for future reciprocal badge exchanges, like foreign jump wings for paratroopers.

“He's not just a leader; he's a true advocate for the space domain and its protection. Maj. Gen. Tedman, your passion and dedication are inspiring. It’s our pleasure to present you with the Army Basic Space Badge,” James said.

 

Awarding badges to partner-nation service members represents our mutual respect and common accomplishments, and champions the trust, collaboration, and interoperability in which our relationships are rooted.

Though many accolades – such as the Army Basic Space Badge – acknowledge an individual’s success and contributions, they also serve to remind others of the tremendous value of allied integration.

As the U.K. Space Commander, Tedman plays a key role in the U.S.-U.K. space partnership, facilitating direct communication, collaboration, and alignment of strategic objectives between the two commands.

 

In response to receiving the award, Tedman said, “I was both surprised and delighted to be awarded the U.S. Army Space Badge by Lt. Gen. Tom James, one of the pioneers of Army Space in the U.S.

My assignment as the inaugural allied DJ5 in USSPACECOM was one of the most demanding and rewarding experiences of my life to date.”

He continued, “I feel enormously privileged to have benefited from the U.S. military’s deep space lineage and experience.

They took a simple soldier and, through an amazing syllabus of space education and training, turned me into a space professional – I now have a badge to prove it!”

 

Tedman also reflected on the significance of allied integration during his time at USSPACECOM.

“I was humbled by the experience, and specifically USSPACECOM’s desire to treat me as one of their own and break down barriers to complete allied integration.

The friendships and bonds I established in the U.S. have endured in my current role as Commander, U.K. Space Command.”

 

He concluded, “The U.K.-U.S. space relationship is going from strength to strength. Just last month, we conducted a first-of-its-kind bilateral co-orbital Rendezvous and Proximity Operation with USSPACECOM.

I will wear my badge with immense pride, and it will always remind me of the fantastic people I worked with in the U.S.”

 

The Army Space Badge was established as a unique Army badge in February 2011, following approval by the Chief of Staff of the Army.

Before this, it was known as the Air Force Space Badge and was awarded to Army personnel beginning in 2006.

In 2012, an Exception to Policy was approved by the Department of the Army G1, allowing foreign military personnel to be awarded the Space Badge.

The establishment of the badge reflects the increasing importance of space as a warfighting domain.

 

The U.S. and U.K. have forged an increasingly strong partnership in space, collaborating across diverse fields including satellite technology, scientific research, and space situational awareness.

This deepened cooperation includes multinational efforts like Multi-National Force Operation Olympic Defender, which has expanded its focus to optimize space operations, improve mission assurance, enhance resilience of space-based systems, synchronize efforts to strengthen deterrence, and reduce space debris. Qatar and others are warning that the status of the over month-long Gaza ceasefire is precarious, and faces imminent collapse, after Israel mounted large-scale airstrikes on some areas of the Gaza Strip starting Wednesday. There have been several episodes of brief assaults over the past month, but the situation is escalating fast once again.

 

Some attacks have continued into Thursday, killing at least 32 Palestinians since the renewed assaults began. It all started after the Israeli army (IDF) said its troops in Khan Younis were fired upon, allegedly by Hamas or other Palestinian militants. But the IDF confirmed there were no troop casualties as a result.

 

This new flare-up marks by far the deadliest since the Trump-backed ceasefire went into effect. Hamas in response rejected the allegations of attacking IDF troops and condemned the new Israeli strikes as a "shocking massacre."

A Star Blew A "Diamond Ring" Bubble In Space

The Cygnus X star-forming region is about 4,600 light-years away. It contains a huge number of massive protostars, and one of the most massive star-forming molecular clouds known.

With all of this activity, it's not surprising that it also hosts some objects that have puzzled astronomers.

 

One of them is the so-named "Diamond Ring," an usual bubble blown in space by a massive star.

While other stellar bubbles are spherical and expand rapidly, the Diamond Ring is flat and is expanding slowly. An international team of researchers have figured out what's going on.

 

Their results are in research published in Astronomy and Astrophysics titled "The Diamond Ring in Cygnus X: Advanced stage of an expanding bubble of ionised carbon."

The lead author is Simon Dannhauer from the Institute of Physics at the University of Cologne in Germany.

 

"The radiation and stellar winds emitted by OB stars inject substantial radiative, thermal, and mechanical energy into the interstellar medium (ISM)," the authors write.

This stellar feedback is important and can reduce star formation in its vicinity. Recently, astronomers have developed a method of quantifying this stellar feedback by using the fine structure of ionized carbon (CII).

These CII emissions do a great job of tracing the boundary and interface between ionized regions and neutral gas. This is exactly where stellar winds and radiation interact with the ISM.

 

"The ‘Diamond Ring’ within Cygnus X, south-west of the DR21 ridge, stands out as a prominent, nearly circular structure in infrared (IR) and far-infrared (FIR) emission, spanning approximately 6 pc in diameter," the researchers write.

It contains an HII region, which is hydrogen ionized by powerful UV radiation coming from massive young stars.

The researchers say that the HII region is very similar to other regions associated with expanding stellar bubbles, however those regions are routinely seen in ionized carbon (CII).

 

This new research is based on observations from SOFIA, the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy, which ended operations in September, 2022.

SOFIA's CII observations show that the Diamond Ring is tilted, that is has a mass of about 103 M⊙, or about 1,000 solar masses.

It's also expanding at a rate of about 1.3 km s−1, or about 4,680 km/h. While that is incredibly fast in our Earthly frame of reference, it's a relatively sedate pace for an expanding stellar bubble.

 

The bubble, and the HII region, were created by a B0.5e star. All B-type stars are hot, but B0.5 stars are among the hottest.

The 'e' indicates emission lines, which means that the star is rotating very rapidly and ejecting material from its equator, which forms a disk of material. The disk is where the emissions come from.

"This observation marks the first instance where we observe only a slowly expanding ring of [C II] emission and not an expanding 3D shell," the authors write.

"We suggest that the H II region (along with its associated [C II] bubble), initially formed by a massive star, expanded outwards from a flat slab of molecular gas nearly in the plane of the sky."

The slowly expanding ring represents the final stage in the expanding bubble.

 

“For the first time, we observed the final stage of such a gas bubble in a distinctly flat cloud structure,” explained lead author Dannhauer in a press release.

“The bubble has ‘burst’, because gases were able to escape into the thinner areas around it. All that remained was the particular flat shape.”

The bubble initially expanded in all directions, like a regular bubble. Now, the ring is confined by gas swept up into the flat slab of molecular gas.

The portions of the bubble that were moving perpendicular to the slab have dissipated, and that's caused a decrease in the expansion of the portion of the ring that remains.

The team ran simulations that trace how the CII bubble evolves, and they support this explanaion.

 

According to this work, the ring itself is only about 400,000 years old, young for a cosmic structure. The observations also show that the diamond-like feature isn't actually part of the bubble.

"The [C II] data revealed that the ‘Diamond’ of the Diamond Ring is an unrelated, dense gas clump," the authors write.

 

Stellar feedback plays a powerful role by shaping the surroundings of young stars. It regulates the conversion of gas into stars by heating nearby gas.

Galaxies wouldn't be the same without it, so it plays a role in shaping entire galaxies. A single massive star can have a defining effect on the gas cloud that spawned it, not only negatively, but positively, too.

Some of the filaments, bubbes, and shells created by stellar feedback can trigger star formation rather than inhibit it.

 

“The ‘Diamond Ring’ is a prime example of how enormous the influence of individual stars can be on entire cloud complexes,” said Dr Nicola Schneider, co-author of the study.

“Such processes are crucial for understanding the formation of stars in our Milky Way,” added Dr Robert Simon, another of the study's co-authors.

Donald Trump has taken the extraordinary step of writing to Israel's President Isaac Herzog, calling on him to pardon Benjamin Netanyahu of long-standing corruption charges.

 

In an undated letter released by Mr Herzog's office, Mr Trump said he respected Israel's independent judicial system.

 

But he argued the case against Mr Netanyahu was a "political, unjustified prosecution".

 

Mr Trump said Mr Netanyahu was a "formidable and decisive War Time Prime Minister, and is now leading Israel into a time of peace" after "terribly difficult times of the last three years".

 

"Now that we have achieved these unprecedented successes, and are keeping Hamas in check, it is time to let Bibi unite Israel by pardoning him, and ending that lawfare once and for all," Mr Trump wrote.

Mr Herzog said he held Mr Trump in the highest regard.

 

But in a statement, he added that anyone seeking a presidential pardon must "submit a formal request in accordance with the established procedures".

 

Mr Netanyahu posted a note on social media hours later that did not mention the letter explicitly, but thanked Mr Trump for his "incredible support".

 

"As usual, you get right to the point and call it like it is," he wrote.

 

"I look forward to continuing our partnership to bolster security and expand peace."

 

It is not the first time Mr Trump has criticised the corruption charges against Mr Netanyahu.

 

He called upon Mr Herzog to pardon the Israeli prime minister during a speech to the Knesset last month, saying "who the hell cares" about the allegations Mr Netanyahu accepted gifts including cigars and champagne from wealthy benefactors.

 

"This man is a good man right here," Mr Trump said, referring to Mr Netanyahu while looking towards Mr Herzog.

 

"Hey, I have an idea, Mr president. Why don't you give him a pardon?"

 

The US president has also previously called the trial a "witch-hunt" on social media.

 

"I don't think they treat him very well," Mr Trump told US network CBS last month.

 

"He's under trial for some things, and I don't think they treat him well.

 

"We'll be involved in that to help him out a little bit, because I think that's very unfair."

 

Mr Netanyahu was indicted on charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust in 2019 — all of which he denies.

 

His trial began in 2020, and since December last year he has been spending a few hours a day, two to three times a week, giving evidence in the case.

 

Mr Netanyahu's political opponents pounced on the letter in a bid to explain Israeli legal processes.

 

"Reminder, Israeli law stipulates that the first condition for receiving a pardon is an admission of guilt and an expression of remorse for the actions," Opposition Leader Yair Lapis said in a post on social media platform X.

 

In recent weeks, debate as to whether there could or should be a legislative fix to end the trial has been whipped into a frenzy.

 

Some of the prime minister's backers have echoed his own sentiments, accusing the "deep state" of being out to get him.

 

"The fabricated and despicable indictments against Prime Minister Netanyahu have long since become an indictment against the prosecution, whose slander and crimes are exposed in court every day," National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir posted on X.

 

"A pardon in this case is the right and urgent thing to do.

 

"President Herzog, listen to President Trump!"

 

Another opposition politician, Yair Golan, posted that Mr Netanyahu could not accept a pardon if he continued insisting the charges against him were baseless.

 

"If he's struggling to run a country and a trial at the same time — he should resign," he said.

Surveillance Video of Charlie Kirk’s Alleged Assassin is Missing from Sheriff’s Office!

 

KUTV 2News had requested the surveillance footage of Robinson’s surrender just weeks after the brutal assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

 

Kirk is said to have been gunned down with a single .30-06 rifle round on September 10, while speaking at a Turning Point event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The shooter allegedly used a scoped Mauser Model 98 bolt-action rifle.

 

Robinson’s parents and a family friend brought him to the police station to turn himself in less than two full days after the shooting, after allegedly recognizing the weapon found by police and shared with the media.

 

“Our job was not to interview; our job was just to get him here,” Washington County Sheriff Nate Brooksby during a press conference on September 17. “Within the hour, my friend drove Tyler and his parents to my office, where he was greeted by plainclothes detectives.”

 

2News submitted public-records requests for the surveillance footage of Robinson walking into the sheriff’s office and any holding-area video.

 

“We do not have any records responsive to this portion of the request, as Tyler Robinson did not go to or enter the jail area,” a records officer with the Sheriff’s Office told the station.

 

The station reported, “Holding room video was denied as part of the investigation.”

 

When pressed with a broader request for any surveillance video of Robinson entering the building, officials suddenly changed their story, claiming the footage no longer exists because it was automatically deleted after the department’s 30-day retention period.

 

Specifically, the reporters requested “surveillance video showing Tyler Robinson walking into the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.”

 

“Our office does not have any applicable records responsive to this request, as the surveillance footage is no longer available after the 30-day retention period,” a records officer told the reporters.

 

The office stated the video was “never sent out to any law enforcement or legal agency,” meaning the main investigating agency in Utah County never received it, and no one bothered to preserve it.

 

Veteran Utah criminal defense attorney Rudy Bautista, who has handled capital cases for 26 years, told 2News the disappearance of the video is deeply troubling.

 

“For the state of Utah, we would certainly hope that this video is available,” Bautista said.

Nov 13 (Reuters) - European financial stability officials are debating whether to create an alternative to Federal Reserve funding backstops by pooling dollars held by non-U.S. central banks in a bid to reduce their reliance on the U.S. under the Trump administration, five officials familiar with the matter said.

The talks, reported here for the first time, are a reaction to policies under U.S. President Donald Trump that have upended long-standing ties, put the Fed's independence in doubt and underlined the dominant role the U.S. plays in global finance.

The Fed's facilities lend dollars to other central banks and function as a lifeline during bouts of market stress, ensuring global financial stability is maintained.

Interviews with more than a dozen European central banking and supervisory officials show that they worry the facilities could be weaponized by the Trump administration.

Two of the people said concerns peaked around April, when Trump's "Liberation Day" tariffs on imports sent shockwaves through the global financial system and exposed weakness in banks' funding plans.

Worries have since ebbed, in part due to Fed assurances, the people said. Chair Jerome Powell told a European Central Bank-hosted conference in July that the U.S. central bank has no plans to change how it offers dollar liquidity to other official entities.

Kush Desai, a White House spokesman, said Trump had "repeatedly affirmed his commitment to maintaining the strength and power" of the dollar.

ECB and Fed spokespeople declined to comment.

DOLLAR POOLING HAS LIMITATIONS

Some of the sources said that pooling dollar reserves would face practical difficulties and may not be viable.

Nevertheless, talks are ongoing at staff rather than top ECB policymaker level and involve central banks in the euro zone and outside the bloc, said four of the officials, who have direct knowledge of the matter.

One said some national central banks in the region are pushing for it.

Reuters could not establish whether central banks outside Europe were also involved in talks.

Other countries have already tried pooling resources.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) along with China, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea combined resources to assist member countries under the Chiang Mai Initiative.

Asked in July about concerns stemming from possible fragmentation in finance, Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda pointed to the initiative, which began operating in 2014 and has since grown to $240 billion.

"It would be important to keep trying a multi-layered approach to things like swap lines. Doing something similar, or continuing to do something similar, would be important," he said.

The Bank of Japan was not immediately available to comment.

In Europe, however, several officials said their initial analysis on the viability of pooling has not been encouraging.

While non-U.S. central banks have hundreds of billions of dollars in cash combined, this does not compare with the Fed's near-bottomless pockets as issuer of the world's reserve currency.

Pooling could help deal with bouts of instability but is unlikely to be enough to contain broad market turbulence, they said, while any attempt to pool reserves would also face logistical and political challenges.

One top central banker said any hint from the Fed on discontinuing the swaps could itself lead to broad stress in the global financial system.

In such a situation it would be hard for a central bank to defend offering its dollar reserves to another party, the official said.

European officials are also considering other measures to improve resiliency, including increasing scrutiny of lenders.

This includes asking banks for plans to source dollars in other markets such as Asia and the Middle East, and stress testing the lenders, two euro zone banking executives said.

One of the officials involved in the discussions said the question of how to build resiliency without relying on the U.S. is raised at each meeting between central banks.

The officials requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the discussions.

 

NOT 'FIRST ORDER' WORRY, BUT WORST-CASE SCENARIO

Dollar demand tends to spike during times of market stress, and shortages can worsen the problem.

The Fed's facilities not only help alleviate that, they also serve wider U.S. interests.

By providing dollars, the Fed ensures that bouts of instability abroad do not turn into full-blown financial crises that could then also engulf the United States.

Usage of the facilities peaked at $449 billion during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

At a meeting of the ECB's policymaking Governing Council a few months ago, Klaas Knot, the then-head of the Dutch central bank, raised the question of reliance on the swap lines as part of "a laundry list" of potential risks, an official with direct knowledge of the matter said.

Knot was also head of the Financial Stability Board, an international body, at the time. The matter has not come up since at the Council, the official said.

An FSB spokesperson declined to comment.

An ECB supervisor said while it is monitoring dollar liquidity, the loss of swaps is not a "first-order worry".

Nevertheless, the debate on finding an alternative has continued among European officials tasked with ensuring financial stability, including at the ECB and several central banks, five sources with direct knowledge of the talks said.

One said they are concerned about what happens when Powell's term ends in May. Trump has said he could select the next chair by the end of this year.

One of the sources said European officials "need to consider the worst-case scenario".

Qatar Warns Gaza Ceasefire On Brink Of Collapse After 24 Hours Of Israeli Strikes

 

Qatar and others are warning that the status of the over month-long Gaza ceasefire is precarious, and faces imminent collapse, after Israel mounted large-scale airstrikes on some areas of the Gaza Strip starting Wednesday. There have been several episodes of brief assaults over the past month, but the situation is escalating fast once again.

 

Some attacks have continued into Thursday, killing at least 32 Palestinians since the renewed assaults began. It all started after the Israeli army (IDF) said its troops in Khan Younis were fired upon, allegedly by Hamas or other Palestinian militants. But the IDF confirmed there were no troop casualties as a result.

 

This new flare-up marks by far the deadliest since the Trump-backed ceasefire went into effect. Hamas in response rejected the allegations of attacking IDF troops and condemned the new Israeli strikes as a "shocking massacre."

 

Hamas in its statement called the IDF assertions "a flimsy and transparent attempt to justify ongoing crimes and violations." Israel had very soon on the heels of the alleged shooting incident launched airstrikes on Gaza City.

 

The Wednesday Palestinian death toll from the widespread airstrikes came to at least 28 killed, with a reported 17 of them women and children, according to Palestinian sources. At least three more have been killed in ongoing strikes Thursday in Gaza's south, with at least 88 wounded over the last 24 hours.

 

Qatar's Foreign Ministry in a statement on its official website said it "strongly condemns the brutal attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip." Doha was a key player in helping mediate the Trump 20-point peace plan.

 

US officials have also frequently visited southern Israel since the truce went into effect, with the White House having since revealed that Trump 'pressured' Prime Minister Netanyahu to finally accept the plan.

 

There are some hardliners within Netanyahu's government who want to see the deal collapse, in order to pursue the final complete eradication of Hamas, and to ultimately open up Gaza to Jewish settlement.

Verizon Axes 13,000 Workers Just One Week Before Thanksgiving

 

Verizon CEO Dan Schulman released a public letter to the company's 100,000-person workforce on Thursday morning, revealing that more than 13,000 job cuts will begin today. The timing is optically displeasing, coming just one week before the Thanksgiving holiday.

 

"Today, we will begin reducing our workforce by more than 13,000 employees across the organization, and significantly reduce our outsourced and other outside labor expenses," Schulman wrote in the letter.

 

Schulman said Verizon established a $20 million Reskilling and Career Transition Fund for departing workers, focused on training, digital skills, and job placement in the era of artificial intelligence.

 

"This fund will focus on skill development, digital training and job placement to help our people take their next steps. Verizon is the first company to set up a fund to specifically focus on the opportunities and necessary skill sets as we enter the age of AI," the CEO noted.

 

Schulman's letter comes one week after the Wall Street Journal reported that Verizon was planning about 15% in job cuts, or about 15,000 workers.

 

Bloomberg's latest data suggests that 13,000 job cuts equal about 13% of its roughly 100,000-person workforce. WSJ notes this would be the largest workforce reduction on record for the carrier.

Rocket Lab launches hypersonic test flight for US military

Rocket Lab launched its hypersonic test vehicle for the sixth time ever this week.

The HASTE suborbital rocket lifted off Tuesday (Nov. 18) at 8 a.m. EST (1300 GMT) from Rocket Lab's Launch Complex 2 on Wallops Island, Virginia, on a mission for the U.S. Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

The launch, which Rocket Lab named "Prometheus Run," was a success, "advancing national interests in safeguarding the homeland through the testing of advanced technologies for missile defense," Rocket Lab wrote in a description of the flight.

 

HASTE is a modified suborbital version of Rocket Lab's 59-foot-tall (18 meters) Electron launcher, which gives small satellites dedicated rides to orbit. That lineage is in the newer vehicle's name, which is short for "Hypersonic Accelerator Suborbital Test Electron."

HASTE debuted in June 2023 and has now flown a total of six times. The rocket serves as a testbed, providing "reliable, high-cadence flight test opportunities needed to advance hypersonic and suborbital system technology development," according to Rocket Lab's website.

 

We don't know much about the technologies that got tested on "Prometheus Run," which isn't terribly surprising given that the U.S. military booked the flight.

"Led by MDA, the mission deployed a government-provided primary payload developed by the John Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and multiple secondary payloads by federal and industry partners, which tested key technologies for missile defense applications," Rocket Lab's postflight statement reads.

Prometheus Run" launched within 14 months of its booking, the company added — a pretty quick turnaround for a government-sponsored test flight.

 

"Accessing the commercial and non-traditional ecosystem is a key enabler to accelerating progress in the hypersonics community of interest, particularly for closing mission timelines and driving towards mass and affordability," Lt. Col. Nicholas Estep, director of DIU’s Emerging Technology Portfolio, said in the same statement. "

Working with MDA to demonstrate commercially-focused sub-orbital launch services is a great example of that axiom."

Ukraine has officially confirmed receiving a draft peace plan from the US. The country’s leader, Vladimir Zelensky, has expressed hope he will be able to discuss the proposal with US President Donald Trump “in the coming days.”

 

The announcement came late on Thursday, following multiple media reports suggesting that Washington had provided Kiev with its new 28-point plan to bring the hostilities with Russia to an end.

 

The roadmap reportedly would require Ukraine to withdraw from the parts of the new Russian regions in Donbass still under Kiev’s control, cut its armed forces by at least half, surrender some weaponry, and suspend its NATO bid.

 

The reported contents of the draft plan have drawn the ire of Kiev’s backers in the EU, who were apparently caught by surprise. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, for instance, argued that any peace arrangement must reflect the positions of both the bloc and Ukraine itself, claiming the US plan contained no concessions from the Russian side.

SpaceX's Transporter-15 mission is poised to deliver more than 100 spacecraft to Earth orbit.

 

A Falcon 9 rocket will launch Transporter-15 today (Nov. 20) from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. Liftoff is expected from Vandenberg's Space Launch Complex-4E during a 57-minute window that opens at 1:18 p.m. EST (1818 GMT).

Transporter-15 will deliver more than 100 satellites into a sun-synchronous orbit, where each will begin its own, individualized mission.

A livestream of the launch will be available on the SpaceX Transporter-15 mission website, the company's profile on X, as well as on Space.com beginning about 15 minutes prior to liftoff.

 

The mission continues SpaceX's increasing frequency of rideshare launches, and follows on the heels of the late-summer liftoff of the Transporter-14 flight, which delivered dozens of cubesats, tech demos and research craft into low Earth orbit (LEO).

Not all of Transporter-15's payloads were confirmed or identified before launch, but among those that have, there are notable contributions from organizations like the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Taiwan Space Agency (TASA), as well as companies and organizations like Planet Labs, SEOPS, Leaf Space and various universities and educational institutions.

 

ESA's HydroGNSS-1 and HydroGNSS-2 satellites will fly as part of the agency's first Scout mission. They will study Earth's water cycle using the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) reflectometry measurement technique to quite literally "scout for water," according to ESA.

Taiwan is launching the FORMOSAT-8A Earth-imaging satellite, as well as three domestically built cubesats: Bellbird-1, Black Kite-1 and TORO-8U-1, from Tron Future Tech, Rapidtek Technologies Inc. and Pyras Technology Inc., respectively.

They will test high-speed data transferal communications, Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and conduct remote sensing to monitor algae, plankton and ocean health.

 

Pelican imaging satellites 5 and 6, as well as 36 SuperDoves in the "Flock 4H" group, have been included on the rideshare launch by Planet Labs.

The company's expanding Earth-observation Pelican network is designed to "efficiently capture fleeting and emerging events, especially those that may anticipate new patterns or risks," the Planet Labs website says.

The accompanying SuperDoves will join Planet Labs' PlanetScope monitoring mission.

SEOPS will utilize Transporter-15 to demonstrate its custom payload integration capabilities with the deployment of a wide range of student-built, scientific and commercial spacecraft. They include four payloads managed by Alba Orbital.

SEOPS is also handling NASA’s 3UCubed-A, designed to measure precipitating electrons and ultraviolet emissions at Earth's poles, SatRev's PW-6U Earth-imaging satellite for customers in the agricultural and energy industries, and TRYAD-1 and 2, lightning observation satellites built by students at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and Auburn University, and funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation.

 

A large portion of the satellites on Transporter-15 will be supported by Leaf Space. In a demonstration of its growing ground infrastructure, the Italian company will add 31 of Transporter-15's payloads to its Leaf Line ground station network — roughly 30% of the launch's total spacecraft.

Those 31 will join 140 spacecraft that utilize the network, operated by various commercial customers who rely on Leaf Space for tracking and telemetry data.

Data on many of Transporter-15's payloads has yet to be released, and the mission's full manifest will likely not be known until after the launch is complete.

 

Due to the large number of payloads and the diversity of their missions, the Falcon 9's second stage will feature a longer-than-usual deployment process, beginning about 55 minutes after launch and lasting about two hours.

The Falcon 9's first stage, booster 1071, is expected to land about 8.5 minutes after liftoff on SpaceX's "Of Course I Still Love You" droneship, stationed in the Pacific Ocean.

This will be the 30th flight for B1071, which has previously launched 18 Starlink missions, four rideshare missions, five national security missions and two missions carrying Earth-observation satellites.

Dearborn, Michigan, became the latest battlefield for paid, out-of-state agitators this week, with Jake Lang—an infamous Jan. 6 figure—leading a brazen anti-Islam demonstration.

Lang, who is neither a Michigan resident nor an authentic voice for Christian Americans, arrived in town attempting to burn the Quran along Michigan Avenue.

 

Lang repeatedly tried to ignite the Quran, only to be blocked and surrounded by local Muslims who refused to allow their faith to be desecrated. At one point, Lang tapped the Quran with a slab of bacon, and counter-protesters snatched it away before he could go further.

But when Hudson met community members and visited mosques, he spoke honestly: “I can tell you in good faith right now today, standing at a pulpit in a mosque, that Sharia law does not exist in Dearborn, Michigan.”

 

Hudson described meeting friendly, welcoming people and, in true America First spirit, admitted he was wrong: “We’ve all been lied to with the propaganda… everything you’ve been told or taught about Dearborn is a complete fabrication.”

I understand that there is a lot of high level information included that is not for everyone. You may just want to look at the Scriptures presented from 58:28 to 1:09:25.

 

It probably sounds rushed because there is so much information to provide. I do not claim nor pretend to be a polished public speaker. If certain portions of the evidence are left out, then the message would be attacked in that manner. An example of this is your issue with the Septuagint… the reason that the Septuagint Greek does not accurately represent many of the Hebrew names correctly is because the ancient Greek language does not have equivalent sounds or letters for many of the most important Hebrew letters like yod (and thus is impossible to accurately transliterate many Hebrew names into Greek).

 

The reason that I do not use the true Hebrew pronunciations of the people or places in the Scriptures (other than the Father and the Son) is because we are commanded in Matthew 28:19-20 to reach out to a deceived world that lacks understanding of the true names and the true gospel and show them the true narrow path to life.

 

"And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews… I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some." (1 Corinthians 9:20/22)

 

To reach the world it is thus better to speak those names as the world does. To do otherwise is just an exercise in pride and vanity, without love and empathy for those that are lost and lacking in that knowledge.

BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. (AFNS) – Air Force Global Strike Command conducted a test launch of an unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, Nov. 5.

This test, designated GT 254, evaluated the ongoing reliability, operational readiness, and accuracy of the ICBM system, a cornerstone of America's national defense.

A team of AFGSC Airmen from the 625th Strategic Operations Squadron employing the Airborne Launch Control System from aboard a U.S. Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft, initiated the launch, testing the effectiveness and continuous availability of the ALCS, a backup command and control system for the ICBM force.

 

“GT 254 is not just a launch – it's a comprehensive assessment to verify and validate the ICBM system's ability to perform its critical mission,” said Lt. Col. Karrie Wray, 576th Flight Test Squadron commander.

“The data collected during the test is invaluable in ensuring the continued reliability and accuracy of the ICBM weapon system.”

 

The Western Test Range at Vandenberg SFB serves as the testing ground for this critical effort.

This launch is part of a series of routine and periodic activities crucial to assessing and validating the Minuteman III's capabilities.

These tests, conducted with stringent safety protocols, allow AFGSC to collect valuable data.

 

“This test validated the reliability, adaptability, and modularity of the weapon system,” said Col. Dustin Harmon, 377th Test and Evaluation Group commander.

“Through this comprehensive assessment, conducted by a dedicated team of AFGSC Airmen, we ensure the highest standards of integrity and reliability for the Nation's ICBM system.”

The 377th Test and Evaluation Group, the Air Force's only dedicated ICBM test organization, oversaw the meticulous planning and execution of the test launch.

 

The unarmed ICBM's reentry vehicle traveled approximately 4,200 miles to the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command's Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site at the Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

The Reagan Test Site, equipped with advanced sensors, including high-fidelity metric and signature radars, optical sensors, and telemetry, collected critical data during the terminal phase of flight.

RTS team members analyze this data to evaluate system performance and support the research, development, test and evaluation of America's defense and space programs.

 

Airmen from all three AFGSC missile wings comprised the task force supporting the test launch, while maintainers from the 90th Missile Wing at F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming, provided essential maintenance support.

This collective effort underscored the commitment and expertise of the Airmen who maintain and operate this vital weapon system.

 

As the U.S. Air Force modernizes its ICBM force with the LGM-35A Sentinel weapon system, maintaining the readiness of the existing Minuteman III remains a top priority.

“As we modernize to the Sentinel weapon system, we must continue to maintain the readiness of the existing Minuteman III fleet.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee roundly condemned the latest spate of violence by Israeli extremists against Palestinians in the West Bank, branding it “terrorism” and calling for “equal justice” and harsh consequences for all acts of terror whether carried out by Palestinians or Israelis.

 

In an interview that aired Wednesday night in the US, Huckabee also told NewsNation’s Elizabeth Vargas Reports that the perpetrators were small in number and not representative of Israeli settlers more broadly, and that Israel is dealing with the issue.

 

“I think there is an escalation,” he said regarding the attacks, calling them “acts of terrorism” and adding, “Let’s just be blunt, that’s what it is.”

 

Huckabee made the comments amid a rash of violence by Israeli extremists against West Bank Palestinians. Many of the attacks have targeted the West Bank’s olive harvest, and groups of assailants recently torched a mosque and, separately, carried out a string of arson attacks, among other acts of harassment.

 

According to United Nations figures, October saw the most attacks of this sort since at least 2006.

 

“Israelis can carry out terrorism as well,” Huckabee said. “But most of these people are not actual settlers who live there — there may be some, but this is a very small number, mostly of youth, angry and disaffected. These are thugs.”

 

On Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel “will take very forceful action against the riots” targeting IDF soldiers and Palestinians. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said the attacks “cross a red line and divert the attention of our forces from fulfilling their mission.”

 

So far, the Israel Police has done little to enforce the law against Jewish attackers, with few arrests and even fewer charges brought against perpetrators. There have been a handful of arrests in recent days following a spate of attacks involving well over 100 Israeli extremists, but no indictments have been filed, and many of the suspects have been released.

 

Huckabee used strong language to condemn the attackers, while discussing them in the context of Palestinian terror attacks against Israelis. He noted this week’s terror attack in the West Bank’s Gush Etzion Junction, which killed an Israeli man.

 

“It is a very tense time; we don’t want to pretend that it isn’t,” he said on NewsNation. “But there has been every attempt on the part… even of the Israelis to say that those who are committing acts of terror, even if they’re Israelis, they’re going to feel the full force of the law, and Elizabeth, they should.”

 

He continued, “The only way to bring some settlement is to have equal justice. “Crime is crime, terrorism is terrorism, it doesn’t matter who does it, they have to be consequenced — and harshly.”

A Democratic lawmaker revealed the shocking detail after a Pentagon briefing for members of Congress.

 

The Trump administration has admitted that they are not trying to identify anyone aboard boats they accuse of sending drugs to the U.S. before bombing the vessels.

 

Speaking to CNN Thursday, Democratic Representative Sara Jacobs said she was told in a Pentagon briefing “that they do not need to positively identify individuals on the vessel to do the strikes” and that was part of the reason why the administration has not sought to detain or prosecute the survivors of the strikes, “because they could not satisfy the evidentiary burden.”

 

As far as the legal justification the White House is using to blow up boats in the waters surrounding Latin America, that information has only been available to select Republicans.

 

“There’s nothing that we heard in there that changes my assessment that this is completely illegal, that it is unlawful and even if Congress authorized it, it would still be illegal because there are extrajudicial killings where we have no evidence,” Jacobs said, adding that she was told that the only drug targeted in the strikes so far was cocaine, which Pentagon officials called “a facilitating drug of fentanyl.”

 

The U.S. has killed at least 61 people in more than a dozen airstrikes on boats in the western hemisphere that it claims are smuggling drugs and are part of “designated terrorist organizations.” The attacks have prompted criticism from countries in the region, including Colombia, Venezuela, and Mexico, and several of the people killed in the strikes have been identified as fishermen.

 

Even some Republicans in Congress, such as Representative Mike Turner and Senator Rand Paul, have expressed misgivings about the strikes, with Paul calling them “extrajudicial killings.” Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth seem to be planning to go even further, with the president bragging that he wants to begin strikes on land and Hegseth moving 14 percent of the U.S. Navy fleet to the Caribbean Sea. It seems that a war has been declared in all but name.

Israel used widely banned cluster munitions in its recent 13-month war in Lebanon, photos of munition remnants in south Lebanon seen by the Guardian suggest.

 

The images, which have been examined by six different arms experts, appear to show the remnants of two different types of Israeli cluster munitions found in three different locations: south of the Litani River in the forested valleys of Wadi Zibqin, Wadi Barghouz and Wadi Deir Siryan.

 

The evidence is the first indication that Israel has used cluster munitions in nearly two decades since it employed them in the 2006 Lebanon war. It would also be the first time that Israel was known to have used the two new types of cluster munitions found – the 155mm M999 Barak Eitan and 227mm Ra’am Eitan guided missiles.

 

Cluster munitions are container bombs which release many smaller submunitions, small “bomblets”, over a wide area the size of several football fields. The use of cluster munitions is widely banned as up to 40% of submunitions do not explode upon impact, posing a danger to civilians who might later stumble upon them and be killed when they explode.

 

To date, 124 states have joined the convention on cluster munitions, which forbids their use, production and transfer. Israel is not a party to the convention and is not bound by it.

 

“We believe the use of cluster munitions is always in conflict with a military’s duty to respect international humanitarian law because of their indiscriminate nature at time of use and afterwards,” said Tamar Gabelnick, the director of the Cluster Munition Coalition. “Their wide area impact means they cannot distinguish between military and civilian targets and the cluster munition remnants kill and maim civilians for decades after use.”

 

The Israeli military neither confirmed nor denied its use of cluster munitions but said it “uses only lawful weapons, in accordance with international law and while mitigating harm to civilians”.

A 26-year-old New Jersey woman, Natalie Greene, allegedly staged a fake political attack that included writing and scarring on her body, NBC News reported.

 

Greene made her initial court appearance on Wednesday on charges that include one count of conspiracy to convey false statements and hoaxes and one count of making false statements to federal law enforcement in connection with a staged attack. Each count has a maximum penalty of five years in prison.

 

“We are deeply saddened by today’s news, and while Natalie is no longer associated with the Congressman’s government office, our thoughts and prayers are with her. We hope she’s getting the care she needs,” a Van Drew spokesperson said in a statement.

 

On July 23, a female co-conspirator called 911 and said that "three guys just attacked us" while she and Greene were walking along a nature preserve trail in New Jersey, according to the criminal complaint.

 

"They were attacking her. They were like talking about politics and stuff. They were like calling her names," the co-conspirator allegedly told the 911 operator, noting that the attackers had referred to Greene and her work for Van Drew.

 

Egg Harbor Township Police found Greene with cuts on her face and upper body, and her hands and feet were both zip-tied together. Police said she was crying and screaming that one of the alleged attackers “has a gun” and threatened to shoot her, according to the complaint.

 

Greene's shirt had been pulled over her head and secured with a zip-tie, and the words “TRUMP WHORE” were written across her stomach, with another message that said Van Drew "IS RACIST” on her back, per the complaint.

 

She later told law enforcement officials that her attackers had hit her in the head, held her down, used a sharp object to cut her, and written the messages found on her body, court documents said.

 

An investigation found that Greene had paid an artist specializing in scarification to use a scalpel to lacerate parts of her body in a pattern that she directed ahead of the incident, according to the complaint.

 

Black zip ties were found in Greene’s car on the night of the alleged attack that resembled the ones used to restrain her, investigators said. They also discovered that two days before the attack, the phone of Greene’s alleged co-conspirator had been used to search for “zip ties near me.”

 

She was released on a $200,000 unsecured bond and other conditions.

Protecting an Abuser: Leaders of a Minnesota church didn’t report a parishioner to police though they knew he’d sexually abused girls for years and had been told reporting it was their duty.

Forgive and Forget: Church leaders held meetings where children were told to forgive the man who sexually abused them and forget the abuse. If they spoke of it, the sin would be theirs.

Missed Opportunities: Prosecutors had at least one opportunity to intervene but hoped educating church leaders about their duties would encourage them to cooperate with authorities.

On 19 November 2025, a coordinated effort led by Bulgarian authorities and supported by Europol, resulted in the dismantling of a criminal network involved in large-scale trafficking of cultural goods across Europe and beyond. This operation was conducted under the framework of a Europol operational taskforce. The action day involved law enforcement and judicial authorities from Albania, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, and the United Kingdom. The operational actions during this day were coordinated from coordination centres in Sofia, Bulgaria, and at Eurojust. Investigative activities are still ongoing.

 

The investigation began after a house raid conducted in 2020 in Bulgaria, where authorities seized about 7 000 cultural artifacts with inestimable historical and monetary value. These items, primarily Greco-Roman and Thracian antiquities, are of immense value due to their uniqueness and historical significance. The lack of clear provenance documentation for many of these items, established by the Bulgarian authorities at the time, raised suspicions of illegal acquisition. Since their seizure, the artifacts have been housed in the Bulgarian National History Museum in Sofia pending further investigation.

‘Koschei’s Oil Needle’: Ukraine Confirm Strikes on Ryazan and Ilsky Refineries

Loud explosions were heard in Russia’s Ryazan early on Thursday, Nov. 20, amid what appears to be a second drone attack on the city’s oil refinery in the past seven days.

Russian media reported that a “drone danger” alert was issued around midnight. After 2 a.m., local Telegram channels began posting about multiple explosions, and residents reported seeing unidentified drones over the city and surrounding areas.

A drone alert was also issued for Diaghilev airfield.

 

The pro-Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+ published videos showing blasts in the city, claiming: “Ryazan, an attack is underway, probably on a local refinery. Locals counted more than 10 explosions.”

The Ryazan Oil Refinery produces gasoline, diesel, liquefied gas, and roughly 840,000 tons of TS-1 aviation kerosene per year, used by Russia’s Aerospace Forces.

The facility was also attacked on Nov. 15, when Ukraine’s General Staff reported precision strikes on key military and infrastructure sites in Russia, including the refinery, causing large explosions and a major fire.

 

At 5.50 a.m., regional governor Pavel Malkov shared on Telegram that air defenses had destroyed several UAVs over the Ryazan region.

“Due to falling debris, a fire broke out on the territory of one enterprise,” he wrote, without identifying the site.

He said debris fell in several districts but reported no casualties and no serious damage to civilian infrastructure.

 

Exilenova+ also reported drone strikes on substations in the Kursk region’s Glushkov, Rylsky, and Korenovsky districts, sharing photos of fires.

Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed its air defenses intercepted and destroyed 65 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones overnight, including 16 over the Ryazan region.

The head of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces (USF), Robert “Madyar” Brovdy, confirmed the strike on the Ryazan Oil Refinery in a Telegram post, adding that Ukrainian drones also attacked the Ilsky Oil Refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai early on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

“The Ilsky Oil Refinery… was once again pecked by the USF Birds on the night of Nov. 19. The Ryazan Oil Refinery was also not spared the polite attention of the USF Birds, together with the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), early on the morning of Nov. 20,” Brovdy wrote on Telegram.

 

Referencing the Slavic myth of Koschei the Immortal - whose death is hidden inside a needle - Brovdy said Russia’s “Koschei’s Oil Needle” is concealed in 40 refineries.

“About two dozen have already been targeted by the free Ukrainian Bird of the Defense Forces - some less, some more - and some are still on a ventilator to recover,” he added.

Brovdy noted that the Ilsky refinery processes more than 6 million tons of oil annually, is one of Krasnodar Krai’s largest employers, and plays a major role in the regional economy.

Regarding the Ryazan refinery, he wrote:

According to Russian media, this marks the second strike on the refinery in a week, the second in a month, and the third since early autumn.

The plant was previously hit on Nov. 15, Oct. 23, Sept. 5, and Aug. 2 - when Ukrainian forces began systematically targeting Russian energy infrastructure.

The Ryazan refinery, owned by Rosneft, processed 13.1 million tons of crude in 2024 and accounts for 5% of Russia’s total refining capacity. It supplies fuel to the Moscow region.

 

Reuters sources said that after the Nov. 15 strike, the refinery halted operations due to the shutdown of its main refining unit, responsible for 48% of capacity. It had already been operating at reduced output.

It became the fifth Russian refinery to stop production in November due to drone attacks.

 

Rosneft’s Tuapse refinery shut on Nov. 3, Lukoil’s Volgograd refinery on Nov. 6, Orskneftorgsintez in Orenburg on Nov. 10, and Rosneft’s Saratov refinery on Nov. 11.

Reuters also reported that, according to classified industry statistics, Russia’s overall refining output fell by 6% between August and October following repeated drone strikes.

The Kremlin classified gasoline production data in 2024, citing the risk of “market speculation.”

In May 2025, Trump was accused of selling access to accumulate personal wealth when he hosted a private event for 220 crypto investors who had bought into his meme coin. News reports estimate that buyers spent about $148 million in total on the coin and associated perks, with some spending $1.8 million to attend.

 

The average American can’t get any kind of access to our elected representatives, but the wealthy can buy their way through the door.

 

Measured against this reality, Thomas Jefferson’s warning to bind government down “by the chains of the Constitution” sounds almost quaint.

 

How do you use the Constitution to guard against government misconduct when the government has effectively rendered the Constitution null and void?

France to Reportedly Probe Elon Musk's AI Chatbot Grok for Alleged Holocaust Denial

 

The X chatbot suggested gas chambers at the Nazi death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau were 'designed for disinfection,' adding that the 'narrative' that chambers were used for 'repeated homicidal gassings' persists due to 'cultural taboo'

 

French public prosecutors said on Wednesday they are expanding an inquiry into Elon Musk's AI chatbot, Grok, to investigate "Holocaust-denying comments" made on the social media platform X, according to a report from The Guardian.

 

Grok made several false claims commonly invoked by Holocaust deniers on Monday in response to a now-deleted post by a convicted French neo-Nazi.

 

X has not so far responded to requests for comment, according to the report.

 

Developed by Musk's AI startup, Grok is marketed as a "truth-seeking" alternative to mainstream chatbots. It has been touted by Musk as unfiltered, politically incorrect, and fearless in its pursuit of honesty. This latest expression of Holocaust denial is not the chatbot's first antisemitic outburst.
