ah, I figured this out the other day while experimenting with magick and mogrify: sometimes you need to reduce the size the image before you try to lower the quality and scale it down below a threshold value.
some images wouldn't go below the 14kb threshold unless I also used a '-resize <someprecentage>% in the commandline.
I experimented with magick and mogrify and decided that magick is the better choice as mogrify will clobber.
I also recommend to copy the selected image to another directory just to be safe and that way you won't clobber it either, and can just use the mogrify if you so desire.
but guess what, I tried to post with an image and now I'm getting that message too.
