New memos show how corruption probe into Clinton Foundation was killed: ‘We were told NO by FBI HQ’

Drip, drip, drip: A newly-declassified timeline exposes how the FBI's investigation of the Clinton Foundation was hamstrung by DOJ leaders while the inquiry into Trump-Russia collusion hoax marched forward. This isn't the first tranche of evidence pointing to political interference.

op Republican senator has provided Just the News a timeline written by FBI investigators laying out the repeated political obstruction those agents faced from their own bosses and the Justice Department during the 2016 election and beyond as they probed whether Hillary Clinton engaged in a pay-to-play corruption scheme involving her family foundation.

“Field agents were frustrated. But HQ would not let it go forward,” the newly-released and lengthy investigative timeline reveals. “We were trying to explore the [Clinton] Foundation, and we were told ‘NO’ by FBI HQ.”

Not the first timeline showing interference

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley made the records produced to him by FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi available to Just the News this weekend.

This follows Patel unearthing a shorter timeline, written in 2017, which also chronicled the extensive stonewalling that bureau investigators in three cities faced from the Obama-era DOJ and FBI during the 2016 election.

FBI agents tried to get the help of federal prosecutors to determine whether or what crimes occurred while Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State, most notably, because at that time, her family foundation solicited hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign and U.S. interests with business before her department.

"Shut it down!" then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates is quoted as demanding in the shorter timeline of the politicized barriers that agents in New York City, Little Rock, Ark., and Washington D.C. reported.

The shorter timeline — written by a DOJ lawyer assigned to the FBI under former bureau Director James Comey — was secured by top aides to Patel and was obtained by Just the News earlier this year. The newly-released and longer timeline was handed over to Grassley’s office by the FBI along with a host of corroborating internal emails and was recently provided to Just the News.

The final entry in the shorter timeline came in August 2017. The longer timeline continued to lay out the slow-walking and interference by the FBI up through early 2020.

Altogether, the evidence makes clear that the DOJ, former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, and other officials within the FBI placed hurdles in front of agents who believed they had evidence to justify a public integrity criminal case.

Grassley: DOJ can't pick "winners and losers"

“The mainstream media smeared any investigation into Hillary Clinton as unfounded nonsense, but in reality, line agents and federal prosecutors seeking to follow up on legitimate leads were sidelined by partisan leadership looking to save Clinton’s reputation. That’s a night-and-day departure from how the Biden Justice Department handled the Arctic Frost investigation against President Trump,” Grassley told Just the News. “For too long, our Justice Department has chosen winners and losers instead of enforcing the law without regard to power, party or privilege. That must never happen again. I thank Attorney General Bondi and Director Patel for turning over these records, so the American people finally know how their Justice Department failed in the Clinton investigations.”

Where are all of these meteors coming from? In terms of direction on the sky, the pointed answer is the constellation of Gemini. That is why the major meteor shower in December is known as the Geminids – because shower meteors all appear to come from a radiant toward Gemini. Three dimensionally, however, sand-sized debris expelled from the unusual asteroid 3200 Phaethon follows a well-defined orbit about our Sun, and the part of the orbit that approaches Earth is superposed in front of the constellation of Gemini. Therefore, when Earth crosses this orbit, the radiant point of falling debris appears in Gemini. ah, I figured this out the other day while experimenting with magick and mogrify: sometimes you need to reduce the size the image before you try to lower the quality and scale it down below a threshold value.

some images wouldn't go below the 14kb threshold unless I also used a '-resize <someprecentage>% in the commandline.

I experimented with magick and mogrify and decided that magick is the better choice as mogrify will clobber.

I also recommend to copy the selected image to another directory just to be safe and that way you won't clobber it either, and can just use the mogrify if you so desire.

Decoding the Colour-Code: What the Data Reveals About 3I/ATLAS

For astronomers, the 'colour' of an object — which is to say, how it reflects and absorbs light at different wavelengths — is a critical chemical and mineralogical fingerprint.

The latest observations showed 'wavelength-varying spectral slopes (S ~ (0%-29%)/1000 A, depending on wavelength range)' throughout its close approach to the sun.

This variation in how light was reflected across the spectrum is a key clue to the complexity of its surface.

Despite this variability, a deeper analysis showed a remarkable stability in its overall surface colour evolution. The synthetic photometry performed on the spectra showed 'mostly stable colour evolution' throughout the observation period.

The precise colour readings remained within tight bands: 'g - r colours ranging from ~ 0.69 - 0.75 mag', 'r-i colours ranging from ~ 0.26 - 0.30 mag' and 'c - o colours ranging from ~ 0.50 - 0.55 mag'.

These seemingly small, highly technical variations are, in fact, incredibly significant.

They tell a coherent story about the surface chemistry and mineralogy of a body that formed around a completely different star, possibly one that was dramatically different to our own sun.

A stable colour profile suggests a uniform or slowly evolving surface composition, which is valuable information when trying to deduce the conditions of its cosmic birth.

While the initial data on 3I/ATLAS has answered some questions — confirming its cometary nature and revealing exotic elements — it has opened up a dozen more.

What does the consistent colour evolution imply about its formation history? Why is it so rich in nickel?

The international team is now eagerly anticipating the next phase of research, noting that the 'ongoing post-perihelion observations of 3I/ATLAS will provide further insight into its potentially extreme composition'.

The final, complete analysis of this interstellar visitor will not just reveal the history of a single comet; it promises to rewrite the cosmological rulebook on how planetary systems — including our own — are truly built.

NASA Continues MAVEN Spacecraft Recontact Efforts

NASA’s MAVEN (Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN) mission team, in partnership with the agency’s Deep Space Network, continues recovery activities after losing contact with the spacecraft on Dec. 6.

To date, attempts to reestablish contact with the spacecraft have not been successful.

Although no spacecraft telemetry has been received since Dec. 4, the team recovered a brief fragment of tracking data from Dec. 6 as part of an ongoing radio science campaign.

Analysis of that signal suggests that the MAVEN spacecraft was rotating in an unexpected manner when it emerged from behind Mars. Further, the frequency of the tracking signal suggests MAVEN’s orbit trajectory may have changed.

The team continues to analyze tracking data to understand the most likely scenarios leading to the loss of signal. Efforts to reestablish contact with MAVEN also continue.

NASA is also working to mitigate the effect of the MAVEN anomaly on surface operations for NASA’s Perseverance and Curiosity rovers. Four orbiters at Mars, including MAVEN, relay communications to and from the surface to support rover operations.

NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, Mars Odyssey, and ESA’s (European Space Agency’s) ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter all remain operational.

For the next two weeks of scheduled surface operations, NASA is arranging additional passes from the remaining orbiters, and the Perseverance and Curiosity teams have adjusted their daily planning activities to continue their science missions.
