ADL Goes Ballistic After Megyn Kelly Says Bari Weiss, Ben Shapiro Are 'Making Antisemites'

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is furious with journalist Megyn Kelly after she accused prominent Jews in the media - Ben Shapiro and Bari Weiss - of "making antisemites" through their attempts to censor criticism of Israel."

To bring you up to speed: Following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, podcaster Candace Owens pointed the finger at Israel, suggesting that Kirk's shifting views on Israel made him a target - and suggesting that Israel and France plotted Kirk's death. This drew sharp criticism from the Daily Wire's Ben Shapiro (Owens' former boss), journalist Bari Weiss, and the ADL - with Shapiro further accusing Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson of amplifying 'antisemitism' by platforming Owens and refusing to condemn her claims, while Kelly says attempts to censor criticism of Israel is in fact 'making' people into antisemites.

So - a lot going on here. Prominent Jews are condemning conservatives who haven't condemned Candace Owens - accusing them of fueling antisemitism, while Megyn Kelly says that in general, attempts to label conservatives critical of Israeli policy as 'antisemites' is actually creating antisemites.

Tensions peaked at Turning Point USA's AmFest conference last week, where Shapiro downplayed the 1967 USS Liberty incident in which Israel attacked a US Navy ship and killed 34 Americans - calling it a 'mistake' that's now largely irrelevant because it happened so long ago:

The next day, Shapiro escalated during a speech at the Heritage Foundation in which he called Carlson an "enemy of the conservative movement" for promoting conspiracies.

Meanwhile, in a concurrent Vanity Fair interview, Megyn Kelly accused Shapiro and Weiss of "making antisemites" by aggressively labeling critics, calling Shapiro "Israel first," and criticizing their alleged efforts to "cancel" her from the movement.

To recap the drama:

Moments after Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, opened the conference with a speech calling her late husband a “peacemaker” and urging an end to the squabbling, Shapiro issued a blistering jeremiad that recalled William F. Buckley Jr.’s attempted excommunication of the far right. “The conservative movement is in serious danger,” Shapiro said, “from charlatans who claim to speak in the name of principle but actually traffic in conspiracism and dishonesty, who offer nothing but bile and despair.”

He denounced Candace Owens—a podcaster he once employed at The Daily Wire, the media company he co-founded—who has emerged as the chief purveyor of conspiracy theories about Kirk’s murder. Her videos investigating the killing, infused with all the drama of a true-crime documentary, have been viewed millions of times.

Shapiro extended his criticism to those he said have “refused to condemn Candace’s truly vicious attacks,” naming Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, and Steve Bannon. A few hours later on the same stage, Carlson fired back. “To hear calls for like, de-platforming and denouncing people at a Charlie Kirk event, I’m like, what?” Carlson said, with an air of annoyed confusion. “I mean, this kind of was the whole point of Charlie Kirk’s public life, and I think that he died for it.” -Vanity Fair

"What Charlie and I saw at the same time was that the country is turning," Kelly said. "And young Republicans are turning on Israel."

Russia Pummels Kiev, Hundreds Of Thousands Without Power, Ahead Of Trump-Zelensky Meeting

Russia launched a wave of attacks on Ukraine early Saturday, killing at least one person and injuring many others, and leaving hundreds of thousands without power. Already the electricity grid has long suffered under such crippling attacks, with barely any time or necessary parts for repair.

The assault occurred just a day before anticipated Ukraine peace talks between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and President Trump, expected at Mar-A-Lago on Sunday. According to The New York Times, air raid alarms sounded around 1:30am local time as the strikes began, with Zelensky later stating on X that nearly 500 drones and 40 missiles were used, mainly on energy sites and civilian infrastructure in the capital.

Ukraine’s Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said on Telegram that 10 apartment buildings were hit and more than 20 people were injured. The Associated Press later updated the casualty count, reporting that 27, including two children, were wounded.

Zelensky has accused Russia of seeking to prolong the conflict and that ongoing peace negotiation efforts are simply a ruse. The Moscow side has accused Zelensky of essentially the same thing, and said he doesn't want to give up power.

Kyiv regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk announced of these latest strikes, "As of this morning, part of the left bank of the region remains without electricity. Currently, more than 320,000 consumers are without power."

Based on this fresh assault, Zelensky described, "Russian representatives engage in lengthy talks, but in reality, Kinzhals and Shaheds speak for them," he said. Russia has been chiefly relying Kinzhal ballistic missiles and Iranian designed Shahed in these daily strikes.

"Common Sense" Is Back: UK Finally Scraps Non-Crime Hate Incident Laws Nationwide

Police chiefs will reportedly seek to scrap non-crime hate incidents in plans they will present to the Home Secretary next month.

The Telegraph reports that police leaders have decided that NCHIs are no longer “fit for purpose” after warnings that recording them undermines freedom of speech and diverts officers away from fighting crime.

Under the plans, NCHIs will be replaced with a new “common sense” system, where only a fraction of such incidents will be recorded under the most serious category of anti-social behaviour.

An NCHI falls short of being criminal but is perceived to be motivated by hostility or prejudice towards a person with a particular characteristic.

They stay on police records indefinitely and can come up in background checks.

The move to scrap them follows high-profile cases such as that of Graham Linehan, the Father Ted co-creator, whose arrest for a series of posts on X was criticized by the Trump administration as a “departure from democracy”.

The plans will be published next month by the College of Policing and National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) and are expected to be backed by Shabana Mahmood, the Home Secretary.

Lord Herbert, the chairman of the College of Policing, told The Telegraph:

“NCHIs will go as a concept. That system will be scrapped and replaced with a completely different system."

“There will be no recording of anything like it on crime databases. Instead, only the most serious category of what will be treated as anti-social behaviour will be recorded. It’s a sea change.”

Their exclusion from crime databases means any incidents will no longer have to be declared as part of checks in job applications.

Head of EU Parliament’s biggest faction wants German soldiers in Ukraine

Russia has repeatedly rejected the idea of any NATO troop deployment to the country’s territory

Berlin must send troops to Ukraine as part of a potential peace settlement, according to Manfred Weber, the leader of the European People’s Party (EPP) – a political group with the biggest faction in the EU Parliament. Brussels cannot rely on Washington to secure peace between Moscow and Kiev, the politician told Funke Media Group in an interview published this week.

Moscow has repeatedly rejected the idea of any NATO presence in Ukraine. It also named the US-led bloc’s expansion to the East one of the root causes of the conflict.

Kiev’s Western backers, including France and the UK have occasionally raised the issue of NATO troop deployment to Ukraine throughout the conflict. The plan was given another impetus earlier this month at the talks in Berlin, where US officials met with the Ukrainian delegation, the leaders of Germany, France, the UK, and eight other European countries.

”We cannot seriously expect Trump to secure a peace settlement solely with American troops. And when we talk about European troops, Germany cannot be left out,” Weber said. “After a ceasefire or a peace agreement, the European flag must fly along the [contact] line.”

He also claimed he did not “see” the Russian leadership “pursuing the path of peace” and called on Kiev’s European backers to demonstrate strength.

Moscow has repeatedly stated it is ready and willing to resolve the conflict peacefully as long as the other side demonstrates a similar commitment and the root causes of the crisis are addressed. On Friday, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said that the conflict resolution was “really close” but warned that Kiev and its European backers are actively trying to “torpedo” the peace process.

The Trump administration has not confirmed the extent of its support for the European plan. Weber also called on the EU to act independently from the US in security matters, prompting the NATO head, Mark Rutte, to warn that creating alternatives to the bloc would not benefit its European members.

FBI Caught Hillary Clinton Discussing Donations With Foreign Felon

As Hillary Clinton closed in on the presidential nomination in the spring of 2016, FBI field officers advised colleagues at headquarters to press her on the foreign donations flowing to the Clinton Foundation while she steered American foreign policy and whether she had used the charity as a campaign piggy bank.

But FBI HQ in Washington — a city in which the former secretary of state and first lady wields enormous influence — let the trail go cold.

FBI New York Assistant Director in Charge Diego Rodriguez advised agents in Washington to ask Clinton several questions about the foundation, which are reproduced in full in documents released to the Senate Judiciary Committee by the FBI and published on Dec. 15. (p. 22) The questions reveal the concerns about foreign bribery that the Clinton Foundation case — codenamed “Cracked Foundation” — had uncovered. (p. 41)

Among the evidence available to investigators, according to their questions: A recorded conversation between Clinton and Indian hotel magnate Sant Singh Chatwal in which Clinton discussed donations to the foundation and her remaining 2008 campaign debt. The new documents confirm that FBI had at one time been “intercepting individuals associated with the Clinton Foundation.” (p. 23)

But when Clinton arrived to the FBI two months later, in July 2016, to answer questions about her use of a private email server in a separate investigation codenamed “Midyear Exam,” D.C. agents asked nothing about the allegations of pay-to-play with foreign governments or use of the global charity as a slush fund.

The Clinton Foundation did not respond to a request for comment. Chatwal could not be reached for comment.

Netanyahu’s New Slant To Lure Trump Into War With Iran

Neither Hamas, nor Gaza Phase Two, that lies predominantly behind Netanyahu’s summit intent – but rather Iran

In these last days, the Trump Administration has boarded or seized three tankers either loaded with Venezuelan oil or destined for Venezuela (such as the Bella1). The most egregious seizure – in terms of illegality – being a Chinese-owned, Panama-flagged vessel reportedly destined for China – and on no one’s sanctions list.

In a different zone of conflict, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) last Friday claimed that it had struck a Russian so-called ‘shadow fleet’ tanker, the Qendil, with aerial drones in waters of the Mediterranean Sea off Morocco. The SBU did not give further details of the attack, including how the SBU deployed a drone in the Mediterranean (2,000 Km from Ukraine), or the site from which it was launched. The SBU source said the cargo ship was empty at the time of the attack.

President Putin, in midst of his annual question and answer marathon, vowed that Russia would retaliate.

‘Blockades’, seizures and attacks, very plainly, are acts of war (despite the U.S. claim that America owns all oil produced by Venezuela – until all historical U.S. legal claims against Venezuela are satisfied). This tanker-episode is yet another ratchet to the drift to lawlessness in U.S. foreign policy.

These acts pre-eminently are aimed at China (which has large equities in the Venezuelan oil industry) and Russia, which has longstanding ties to both Venezuela and Cuba (now under Trump ‘blockade’ too). Add to that the $11bn in weapons being sent to Taiwan — with a significant amount of medium to long-range missile systems being part of the planned transfer, including 82 HIMARS launchers with Army ATACMS missiles, allowing Taipei forces to hit targets across the Taiwan Strait.

This latter transfer has infuriated China.

What this suggests is that the National Strategy Statement (NSS) in respect to China (it states that Washington views China as no longer constituting a ‘prime threat’, but only as an economic competitor) is meaningless rhetoric. China is being treated as an adversarial threat and will respond as such.

China and Russia will ‘read’ the Trump Administration by its actions, rather than its NSS rhetoric. And the signals speak plainly to escalatory steps.

Put all this into the context of ‘leaks’ by senior Trump officials which Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard says are “lies and propaganda”. She says the claims that “the ‘U.S. intelligence community’ agrees to, and supports the EU/NATO viewpoint, that Russia’s aim is to invade/conquer Europe (in order to ‘gin up support’ for their pro-war policies)” — that these are lies being pushed by what she terms “Deep State warmongers and their Propaganda Media … to undermine Trump’s efforts to bring peace to Ukraine”.

“The truth”, Gabbard writes on Twitter, is the opposite:

“[That] the U.S. intelligence community has briefed policymakers, including the Democrat HPSCI member quoted by Reuters, that U.S. Intelligence assesses that Russia seeks to avoid a larger war with NATO. It also assesses that, as the last few years have shown, Russia … does not have the capability to invade and occupy Europe” — and that “U.S. Intelligence assesses that Russia seeks to avoid a larger war with NATO”.

Thousands set to rally against Netanyahu and Qatargate ‘treason’ in weekly protests

Thousands of protesters are expected to take to the streets in the nation’s largest cities on Saturday night amid a series of damning reports about Qatar’s ties with aides to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The focus on Qatar, a key backer of Hamas, came after the publication this week of reports and interviews that appeared to tie Netanyahu to the so-called Bild and Qatargate probes in which his top aides have either been prime suspects or indicted. Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett called Qatargate “the most serious act of treason in Israeli history.”

The anti-government rallies are backed by a range of activist groups that are also protesting the Netanyahu government’s bids to weaken the judiciary, codify the Haredi exemption from military service and avoid a state commission of inquiry into failures surrounding the Hamas onslaught of October 7, 2023.

Meanwhile, the family of slain police officer Ran Gvili, the last remaining October 7 hostage, will hold a rally in his honor Saturday night demanding that there be no progress on the Gaza truce until his body is returned.

Protesters in Jerusalem will march from Netanyahu’s residence to President Isaac Herzog’s residence, while protesters in Haifa will gather at the central Horev area, where Ayala Metzger, daughter-in-law of slain hostage Yoram Metzger, is expected to speak.

“We’re not taking our foot off the gas,” Haifa protest organizers wrote on X, demanding new elections and an investigation into “Netanyahu’s involvement in the treason in his office.”

Protesters in Tel Aviv will gather at Habima Square and march to the Savidor train station. Set to speak at Habima is Merav Svirsky, whose parents were murdered in Kibbutz Be’eri during the October 7 attack and whose brother Itay was killed in captivity in Gaza.

The Pentagon’s Pandora’s Box Is Wide Open: The U.S. Integrates Its Advanced “AI-controlled Kill Chain” Into Military-Intelligence Ops

Almost 30 years ago, Samuel Huntington published “The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order”, where he famously said that “the West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion, but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence”. He concluded that “Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do”. Obviously, this is hardly surprising given the fact that precisely non-Western nations had to endure the trauma of the political West’s aggression against the entire world. But how did the world’s most aggressive power pole manage to secure such a massive advantage, despite being heavily outnumbered?

The answer to that question is rather complex and goes far beyond the scope of a single article. And yet, there are certain nuances that we could address and one of those is the political West’s propensity to (ab)use advanced technologies in order to gain the upper hand. This is not to say that other, often far more advanced civilizations couldn’t do it, because it’s all a matter of political will. For instance, Ancient China certainly had the technological know-how to achieve absolute superiority over much (if not most) of the world, but simply chose not to, instead focusing on trade. Namely, the Asian giant was behind several world-altering technologies that could’ve ensured that.

This includes gunpowder, paper and the printing press, three inventions without which the modern world is entirely unviable and unimaginable. However, we didn’t see China build massive invasion forces that would go around the planet, robbing entire continents of their native populations and settling colonists on their lands. It was the political West which did that centuries after acquiring those technologies from China and refining them into brutal killing machines. Ever since, there hasn’t been a single technology that Western nations haven’t adapted to be used for this purpose. This hasn’t changed in the slightest to this very day and there are no indicators it ever will.

Namely, while the multipolar (i.e., the actual) world is looking to regulate and limit artificial intelligence (AI) to prevent its misuse and abuse, the most powerful Western nation, the United States, is pursuing the full integration of advanced AI into its so-called “kill chain”. The Pentagon is doing this in close partnership with xAI. The company, known for operating X (formerly Twitter) and Grok AI chatbot, is owned by Elon Musk, a controversial billionaire (or soon-to-be trillionaire, if his uncontrollable wealth accumulation continues) with very close ties with the US military. Namely, his SpaceX has been working with the Pentagon to provide advanced services such as the now (in)famous Starlink.

The system is also used for advanced communications and ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) by the Neo-Nazi junta in NATO-occupied Ukraine, where it provided a major advantage until it was largely suppressed by Russian EW (electronic warfare) assets. SpaceX is also working with the Pentagon to provide orbital launch options. Interestingly, Musk often speaks about the dangers of AI and is adamant that it shouldn’t be used in warfare, calling it “more dangerous than nuclear weapons”. What made him change his mind is anyone’s guess, but here we are, as one of his most prospective companies is weaponizing AI for the world’s most aggressive country.

Tikvah Fund, After Securing $10.4M Grant From Trump Admin, Pushes for Censorship to Advance Zionism

The Jewish-American neoconservative Tikvah Fund, which the Trump administration awarded over $10 million in Sept to counter "the pathology of anti-Semitism" and teach the Talmud, has already gotten to work pushing censorship to advance Zionism.

The NY Times last month told a remarkable story about how the record $10.4 million grant the Tikvah Fund secured from the National Endowment for the Humanities was rammed through.

From The New York Times, "Fired Scholars and Big Grants to Favored Projects: Inside Trump's N.E.H.":

One of them — $10.4 million to the conservative Jewish educational group Tikvah, for a project aimed at combating antisemitism — was awarded after the scholarly council voted against it, according to five people with direct knowledge of the discussion, who were granted anonymity to discuss confidential matters.

The council members said there were questions about the vagueness of the Tikvah application and concern that the project tipped into advocacy, which the agency is supposed to avoid.

[…] A little more than two weeks after the Tikvah announcement, the White House fired all but four members of the endowment’s scholarly council.

In November, Tikvah held their Jewish Leadership Conference with Ben Shapiro, Bari Weiss and Dan Senor to discuss how best to advance the interests of Jews and Israel.

Their naked ethnic activism caused quite the stir after being clipped by yours truly.

Trump says US won't follow Israel's lead on recognition: 'Does anyone know what Somaliland is?'

On Friday, Netanyahu and Somaliland’s President H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi signed a joint declaration, making Israel the first nation to recognize the country.

US President Donald Trump will not immediately follow Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recognition of Somaliland’s independence, the American leader told the New York Post on Saturday, adding that he had to “study” Israel’s pitch.

On Friday, Netanyahu and Somaliland’s President H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi signed a joint declaration, making Israel the first UN member state to recognize the country.

While Netanyahu said the declaration was “in the spirit of the Abraham Accords, signed at the initiative of President Trump,” and told Abdillahi that he would “communicate to President Trump your willingness and desire to join the Abraham Accords,” the New York Post reported that Trump expects that his meeting with Netanyahu will prioritize discussions of the Gaza ceasefire.

'Does anyone know what Somaliland is?'

“Does anyone know what Somaliland is, really?” Trump said, after denying that the US had any immediate plans to follow Jerusalem's lead in recognizing Somaliland.

Trump indicated his consideration of Somaliland before, saying in August, “We’re looking into that right now. Good question, actually. And another complex one, as you know. But we’re working on that right now - Somaliland.”

Israel's decision to recognize Somaliland was criticized by a number of nations, among them Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, the Palestinian Mission to the UN, referencing reports that Israel had considered Somaliland for the potential transfer of displaced Gazan citizens, reasserted, “the State of Palestine affirms its total rejection of Israeli plans for the forced deportation of our people.”

In March, Somaliland’s foreign minister told Israel’s public broadcaster Kan, "We are open to discussion on any matter, but we do not want to speculate on matters that have not yet been discussed. All countries that are interested in discussing certain issues with us must first establish working relations with us and open diplomatic missions in Somaliland."

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry added that it "affirms its absolute support for the unity, sovereignty, and political independence of Somalia, ensuring the brotherly Somali people's right to a dignified life, security, and stability, in line with international law, Arab and international consensus resolutions, and the resolutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. It expresses its rejection and condemnation of Israel's recognition—by the illegitimate occupying power—of the Somaliland region, and its rejection of any steps that support separation or lend legitimacy to it, or that undermine Somalia's sovereignty and unity and destabilize it.

Israel on December 26 become the first country to recognize the Republic of Somaliland as an independent state, in what may be the first step in a plan to permanently displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to the Horn of Africa and escalate military operations against the Houthis (Ansar Allah) in Yemen.

Somaliland, which claims the northwestern portion of what was once the British Protectorate in northern Somalia, declared independence from the country in 1991, but has failed until the accord with Israel to secure the recognition of any United Nations member state.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel and Somaliland had signed a joint declaration establishing full diplomatic relations, describing it as being “in the spirit of the Abraham Accords”, a set of peace deals brokered by the United States to normalize relations between Israel and Arab states.

Speaking to Somaliland’s President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi by phone, Netanyahu said the friendship between the countries was “seminal and historic.”

“We intend to work together with you on economic fields, on agriculture, in the fields of social development,” Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu invited Abdullahi for an official visit to Israel. Abdullahi said he will come “as soon as possible,” according to the Israel statement.”

“I want you to know that I am signing now as we speak Israel’s official recognition of the Somaliland,” Netanyahu is seen telling Abdullahi in a video released by his office, adding that the new relationship would offer economic opportunities.

“I am very, very happy and I am very proud of this day and I want to wish you and the people of Somaliland the very, very best,” he added.

Netanyahu noted that the declaration “is in the spirit of the Abraham Accords, signed at the initiative of [U.S.] President [Donald] Trump.”

“The ministers affirmed their total rejection and condemnation of Israel’s recognition of the Somaliland region, stressing their full support for the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia,” the statement released.

In addition, Saudi Arabia expressed strong opposition to the declaration, stressing “full support for the sovereignty of the sisterly Federal Republic of Somalia and the unity and territorial integrity of its land,” in a statement released by its foreign ministry.
