The declaration of independence, our founding document, says it's a right, and the 9th amendment makes clear the rights retained by the people need not be enumerated in the constitutionโ€ฆ. so the constitution actually protects the right.

In 1987, in the US Supreme Courts 8-1 majority opinion, they invalidated as unconstitutional a Houston TX ordinance that read "It shall be unlawful for any person to assault, strike or in any manner oppose, molest, abuse or interrupt any policeman in the execution of his duty, or any person summoned to aid in making an arrest.โ€

 

Justice William J. Brennan Jr., who authored the Courtโ€™s opinion, wrote that the โ€œfreedom of individuals verbally to oppose or challenge police action without thereby risking arrest is one of the principal characteristics by which we distinguish a free nation from a police state.โ€

 

Youtube is FULL of videos, with new ones added all the time, of law enforcement, including ice, abusing and threatening to arrest or arresting people for verbally challenging and protesting their action, claiming it's "taking our attention" and obstruction/interference.

 

So yes, we are in fact in a police state.

They are not all bad people, good people are cops, but there is not a single "good" cop in the United States. There can't be. A good tree cannot give bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot give good fruit. It's not some bad apples, it's the orchard itself that is law enforcement and the courts that is rotten and on fire. They have been trained to violate rights and do so daily without second thought. They've been trained that government has authority to "weigh government interest" against the rights government is constitutionally forbidden from infringing upon.

 

Like I have repeatedly said, they MUST ask themselves what their root is because the way law enforcement are operating they sure as hell aren't rooted in Liberty.
