Reminds me of the time I was speaking with a city council member. He said he doesn't rent any of his properties out to Asians. He said they cut holes in the floor to use as a toilet. I said, that's strange because my wife is Asian and she's never done anything like that. Maybe it's because she has a Masters degree. The entire room went silent with their mouths hanging open. The look on that council members face was priceless.

Yeah, I visited Bali a few years ago and they do use squat toilets everywhere. The more upscale stores and chain franchises use regular commodes. My in-laws villa had a regular toilet. If I needed a restroom, I always tried to wait until we got back to the hotel.
