“BUT THAT’S NOT FAIR” – every bank lobbyist ever

 

Now the banking system, this Godzilla made of soy, duct tape, and 11,000 physical branches, is whining to Congress like:

 

“This isn’t fair! If people can earn yield on dollars outside the bank… they might leave the bank!”

 

No shit. That’s the point. You locked everyone into a zero‑yield Ponzi for a decade while printing $7 trillion, and now you’re shocked people want out?

 

What’s next, are you gonna sue water for being wet?

 

This is a regulatory street fight between code and bureaucracy, between global liquidity that settles in five seconds and the rotting husk of Bretton Woods wearing a suit made of FDIC pamphlets.

 

And guess what?

 

The White House is hosting peace talks.

 

Yes.

 

Trump’s team just invited Circle and Coinbase to sit down with Jamie Dimon and tell him that the future of dollars may not involve Jamie Dimon.

 

Can you imagine the mood in that meeting?

 

“Hi Jamie, meet Brian from Circle. He tokenizes T-Bills with six engineers and a Discord server. He’s taking 3% of your deposits and none of your regulatory costs. Thoughts?”

 

The reality is that every time one of these banks says “we’re concerned about financial stability,” what they mean is:

 

“Please don’t let these crypto goblins disrupt our ability to harvest yield off the lower-middle class with 18% credit cards and 0% checking accounts.”

 

They want protection rackets codified into law.

 

Like “you can’t offer yield on stablecoins unless you’re a licensed bank,”

 

aka:

 

“We missed the boat, so let’s blow up the dock.”

 

Banks can’t compete.

 

Let’s model it:

 

A bank: 11,000 branches, 75,000 tellers, legacy core systems from 1982, and a CFO who thinks Solana is a fish.

 

Circle: 25 people, 100% T-Bill backing, 24/7 redemptions, yield streamed on-chain like Netflix.

 

Now let me make this brutally simple… Who wins?

 

The guys with marble lobbies or the protocol that turns dollars into yield-bearing bearer assets?

 

The banks are playing defense against stablecoin yield… but what happens when it clicks that stablecoins are just a transition vector to full monetary exit?

Multiple areas of Dilling, including the headquarters of the Sudanese army’s 54th Brigade and the central market, were struck by suicide drones, the Sudan Tribune reported, citing local sources and medical groups.

 

The latest RSF attack came a day after the government-aligned Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) announced that it had broken a nearly two-year-long RSF siege on Dilling, gaining control over key supply lines.

Dilling lies halfway between Kadugli – the besieged state capital – and el-Obeid, the capital of neighbouring North Kordofan province, which the RSF has sought to encircle.

 

The RSF and the SAF have been waging a brutal civil war for control of Sudan since April 2023, which has killed thousands of people and displaced millions.

Since the siege was lifted, Dilling has endured a wave of drone attacks that have destroyed service facilities and caused several casualties.

 

Military sources told the Sudan Tribune that the RSF was attempting to reinstate the blockade, though the SAF continues to hold the area and repel assaults near the strategic town of Habila in North Kordofan state.

Marines In Restricted Military Training Area On Quantico Marine Base Report Seeing A Bigfoot

A restricted military base is an unexpected setting for a Bigfoot encounter.

It's one thing for a couple of bottle rocket shooting teenagers to report a Class A encounter with a Bigfoot in the Wisconsin wilderness. It's quite another for a former Marine to submit a story of a run-in in a restricted military training area.

The Bigfoot Field Research Organization received one such report a couple of weeks ago from a now-former Marine in regard to an incident they say took place one summer on Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia.

 

BFRO Investigator Matthew Moneymaker spoke with the reporter of the incident and had this to say:

"I spoke with this former Marine, Andrew Bird, at length. He is credible, and he was not the only one who observed this figure that night. Two other Marines were with him and saw the same thing."

 

Their encounter started in a restricted military training area near the MOUT (Military Operations in Urban Terrain) training town, where their patrol originated from.

They initially experienced what was described as a compass disorientation anomaly with all of their compasses indicating they were headed in the right direction only to end up back where they started.

 

This Bigfoot Report Comes From a Place Most People Can’t Access

They decided on a different pickup location and, about 15 to 20 minutes into making their way to the new location, had their encounter with a creature in a wooded area.

This area is inside a controlled military training area with restricted access, the former Marine reported. It's not open to the public, and you can’t go there without "official permission and escort."

 

The incident occurred in July 2005. He was stationed at Marine Corps Base Quantico for over three years. He and two other Marines were told to leave at night and make their way through the woods to a vehicle at a pickup location.

They were in an active training area moving quietly with their flashlights off while students trained with blank ammunition.

After the issue with their compasses, he says, "We decided to cut a new azimuth to a different reference point and then adjust course toward a different pickup spot further down the road."

After roughly 15 to 20 minutes, they heard a loud sound like a tree cracking. Fearing it could be a falling tree, they turned on their flashlights and looked in the direction of the sounds.

 

The Creature Was Manipulating Trees Like They Were Nothing

"We observed two trees next to each other bending toward one another. When we looked up, approximately 20 to 30 feet above the ground, we saw a large, hairy creature with its back facing us," he explained.

"The creature appeared to be pulling the two trees together. The hair was a brown or reddish-brown color. I could not determine whether it had climbed the tree or was already in it, but it was clearly manipulating both trees with great strength.

These are not small trees."

 

The creature was more than eight feet tall with a large body and movements that didn’t resemble that of a person. The three, after initially freezing, took off running.

"As we ran, we heard a very heavy thud, and then fast-moving pursuit behind us. There were loud crashing and breaking sounds, like something large moving rapidly through dense brush.

This continued for approximately 20 to 30 seconds," he said.

 

"At that point, I yelled for the Marine in front to turn on his light so we could move as fast as possible without falling.

We turned our lights on and ran at full speed in the general direction of where we believed the road and pickup point were, no longer using our compasses."

 

They reached the vehicle after five minutes or so of running, jumped in and told the driver to get them out of there.

They're not sure what they saw, but know for sure it "was not a black bear or any known animal in the area. Black bears in Quantico are relatively small."

 

Once again, we're unfortunately left without an image or other evidence of what they encountered that summer night more than 20 years ago. But do we actually need that?

Isn't this statement from a former Marine enough: "This event has stayed with me for 20 years. I have never encountered anything before or since that explains what we saw that night."

A recent Freedom of Information Act response issued by the Department of War raises significant questions about the government’s obligations under FOIA, after officials declined to conduct even a basic email search tied to allegations surrounding the so-called “Immaculate Constellation” program.

The request, filed by The Black Vault and assigned case number 25-F-3827, sought a search of emails sent to or from Maj. Gen. Derek J. O’Malley, Director of Special Programs and Director of the Department of Defense Special Access Program Central Office, for communications containing the phrase “Immaculate Constellation.” The request explicitly asked for both classified and unclassified records.

 

In its final response dated January 26, 2026, the Office of the Secretary of War/Joint Staff stated that no search would be conducted at all.

According to the letter, “a search was not conducted as they confirmed the subject matter itself does not exist, and an extensive email search on the custodian would not yield responsive records.”

 

The rationale offered by the Department of War hinges entirely on the premise that because the alleged Special Access Program does not exist, records discussing it cannot exist either.

That position stands out as unusual within FOIA practice, where agencies are generally expected to conduct searches for records responsive to the wording of a request, regardless of whether the subject matter later proves to be inaccurate, unsubstantiated, or false.

 

Allegations, Denials, and Congressional Attention

The phrase “Immaculate Constellation” entered the public record in late 2024 following the submission of a document by Congresswoman Nancy Mace, during the “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth” hearing held on November 13, 2024.

The document was later revealed to have been authored by Matthew Brown, who was subsequently profiled in a NewsNation investigation examining claims that his whistleblower allegations regarding unidentified anomalous phenomena were ignored by government agencies.

Journalist Michael Shellenberger, who testified at the UAP hearing in November 2024, also submitted extensive testimony about Immaculate Constellation and the UAP topic in general.

 

In parallel, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence released a one-page, unclassified document under FOIA case DF-2025-00021, explicitly addressing the allegation.

That document summarized press reporting on the purported unacknowledged SAP and included an unequivocal denial from the Department of Defense.

“The Department of Defense has no record, present or historical, of any type of SAP called ‘IMMACULATE CONSTELLATION’,” DoD spokesperson Sue Gough stated in the document.

 

The ODNI record itself exists precisely because the allegation was circulating publicly and required internal documentation and assessment.

The document also noted that the press had reported the issue would be raised during open hearings with the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office in November 2024.

 

Government Denial of Existence Does Not Eliminate FOIA Obligations

A central issue raised by FOIA case 25-F-3827 is not whether the alleged “Immaculate Constellation” program exists, but whether the government may decline to process a FOIA request based solely on its own assertion that the subject matter is fictitious.

In its response, the Department of War asserted that because the alleged Special Access Program “does not exist,” an email search would not yield responsive records and therefore was not conducted.

That reasoning conflates the government’s position on the validity of an allegation with its separate obligation under FOIA to search for records responsive to the language of a request.

 

FOIA does not require a requester to prove that an allegation is true, nor does it allow agencies to decline a search simply because they believe a claim to be false.

Federal agencies routinely create and retain records discussing inaccurate reports, rumors, hoaxes, or media-driven allegations, even when those allegations are ultimately rejected.

Those records may include internal emails responding to press coverage, coordinating official denials, briefing senior leadership, or assessing whether an allegation requires follow-up.

The potential falsity of an underlying claim does not negate the existence of records discussing the claim itself, nor does it relieve an agency of its obligation to search for them.

It sought emails containing a specific phrase, which is language that had already entered official government documentation, congressional submissions, press reporting, and interagency discourse.

Declining to conduct a search on the grounds that the subject matter is alleged to be nonexistent sidesteps the core procedural requirements of the Freedom of Information Act.

 

Contrasting FOIA Responses Across Agencies

The Department of War’s refusal to conduct a search also contrasts sharply with how other agencies have handled similar requests.

In December 2024, The Black Vault received a response from the National Security Agency to a FOIA request seeking records related to the “alleged USAP ‘Immaculate Constellation.’”

Rather than asserting that no search was necessary, the NSA issued a Glomar response, stating it could neither confirm nor deny the existence of responsive records.

“For reasons described below, we are not able to confirm or deny the existence or nonexistence of these records,” the NSA wrote, adding that “the fact of the existence or non-existence of the materials you request is a currently and properly classified matter.”

 

The NSA further noted that this was its “standard response to all requests where we reasonably believe that the request seeks intelligence records or records revealing intelligence related activity involving UFOs/UAP.”

While Glomar responses are themselves controversial, they nonetheless reflect acknowledgment of FOIA’s requirement to address the request through established exemption frameworks.

The Department of War’s approach, by contrast, bypassed the search process entirely based on an assertion about subject matter non-existence.

 

Why the Distinction Matters

The core issue raised by FOIA case 25-F-3827 is not whether “Immaculate Constellation” is real. It is whether an agency may refuse to search records simply because it believes an allegation is false.

FOIA does not permit agencies to pre-judge the outcome of a search and decline to conduct it on that basis alone. Records discussing false claims, responding to media narratives, or coordinating official denials are still records.

Some may be classified, some exempt, and some releasable, but the search itself is a foundational requirement.

 

By asserting that “an extensive email search on the custodian would not yield responsive records,” without conducting that search, the Department of War effectively substituted an assumption for a records determination.

That approach risks undermining the transparency mechanisms FOIA is designed to enforce, particularly in areas involving secrecy, special access programs, and public controversy.

 

The response letter does leave the door open for further action, inviting additional “event or file-related information” that might justify a search.

Yet the existence of ODNI records, NSA correspondence, congressional submissions, and widespread press coverage already demonstrates that “Immaculate Constellation” was discussed at senior levels of government, regardless of its factual basis, thus has paved the way for The Black Vault to file an appeal on their initial decision to not honor the request.

NSA Releases Future Quantum-Resistant (QR) Algorithm Requirements for National Security Systems

 

The National Security Agency (NSA) released the “Commercial National Security Algorithm Suite 2.0” (CNSA 2.0) Cybersecurity Advisory (CSA) today to notify National Security Systems (NSS) owners, operators and vendors of the future quantum-resistant (QR) algorithms requirements for NSS — networks that contain classified information or are otherwise critical to military and intelligence activities.

 

A cryptanalytically-relevant quantum computer (CRQC) would have the potential to break public-key systems (sometimes referred to as asymmetric cryptography) that are used today. Given foreign pursuits in quantum computing, now is the time to plan, prepare and budget for a transition to QR algorithms to assure sustained protection of NSS and related assets in the event a CRQC becomes an achievable reality.

 

“This transition to quantum-resistant technology in our most critical systems will require collaboration between government, National Security System owners and operators, and industry,” said Rob Joyce, Director of NSA Cybersecurity. “Our hope is that sharing these requirements now will help efficiently operationalize these requirements when the time comes.”

 

The Director of NSA is the National Manager for NSS and therefore issues guidance for NSS. The algorithms in CNSA 2.0 are an update to those in the currently required Commercial National Security Algorithm Suite (now referred to as CNSA 1.0) listed in CNSSP 15, Annex B (released in 2016). The CNSA 2.0 algorithms have been analyzed as secure against both classical and quantum computers, and they will eventually be required for NSS.

 

NSA’s CNSA 2.0 algorithm selections were based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) recently announced selections for standardization for quantum-resistant cryptography, but there are neither final standards nor FIPS-validated implementations available yet.

 

NSA urges NSS owners and operators to pay attention to NIST selections and to the future requirements outlined in CNSA 2.0, while CNSA 1.0 compliance continues to be required in the interim.

 

“We want people to take note of these requirements to plan and budget for the expected transition, but we don’t want to get ahead of the standards process,” said Joyce.

 

NSS owners and operators should not deploy QR algorithms on mission networks until they have been vetted by NIST and National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) as required in CNSSP-11. There will be a transition period, and NSA will be transparent about NSS transition requirements.

Better late than never? "The warrant sought a number of records related to 2020 elections," Fulton County officials said.

 

The FBI searched the Fulton County Election Hub and Operation Center on Wednesday, more than five years after Georgia's 2020 election probe began. The raid comes amid the Department of Justice's lawsuit against Fulton County over 2020 election records, and years after the governor referred the audited November 2020 election results to the Georgia State Election Board.

 

"The FBI is conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity. No other information is available at this time," the FBI told Just the News. A separate, high-level official confirmed to Just the News that the FBI search was in connection to a criminal probe linked to the 2020 election.

 

The FBI told Fox News that FBI Atlanta was executing a "court-authorized law enforcement action at 5600 [Campbellton] Fairburn Rd."

 

"Our investigation into this matter is ongoing, so there are no details that we can provide at the moment," the FBI added.

 

Fulton County told WSBTV that the FBI was seizing records from the 2020 election. For its part, the county filed a motion to dismiss the claims earlier this month. Fulton County's Clerk of Courts, Ché Alexander, was named the defendant in the DOJ lawsuit. The motion argued that any such access to the 2020 materials should be sought from a state, not federal, court.

 

On Jan. 20, the DOJ filed a response, arguing that Title III of the 1960 Civil Rights Act "provides that upon a demand from the Attorney General to any person having custody, possession, or control of any record or paper relating to any application, registration, payment or poll tax, or other act requisite to voting, such record or paper shall be produced" and that, "Defendants seek to rewrite the Civil Rights Act and place restrictions and limitations on the power granted to the Attorney General that have no basis in law."

 

“Today, the Federal Bureau of Investigation served a search warrant at the Fulton County Elections Hub and Operations Center. 'Biological incident' at federal pathogen lab shines light on continuing risks in Trump era

 

Feds confirm a researcher's potential exposure to "Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever through an accidental breach of personal protective equipment." NIH director under pressure from lawmakers to "stop this batty research."

 

Two days before the Environmental Protection Agency was scheduled to further distinguish the Trump administration from its predecessor by phasing out animal testing over criticisms of pointless cruelty, biosafety risks and obfuscation, an anti-testing watchdog exposed another possible leak from a federal research lab on U.S. soil.

 

This one happened on the current administration's watch, however, months after local media reported National Institutes of Health Director Jay Bhattacharya toured the Rocky Mountain Laboratories "to demonstrate NIH executive level commitment to RML" amid community fears it would get hit by Department of Government Efficiency cuts.

 

The watchdog group White Coat Waste Project (WCW) on Tuesday published the minutes from the NIH Institutional Biosafety Committee's Nov. 20, 2025 meeting at RML in Hamilton, Mont., which has a two-year-old "vivarium" that NIH said would expand study of "exotic species (such as bats)." The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases runs it.

 

Funded with $125 million in COVID relief money, RML's vivarium drew concern from Sens. Joni Ernst and Eric Schmitt before its completion.

 

The Iowa and Missouri Republicans asked then-NIH Director Monica Bertagnolli for more information about RML's "potentially risky research," since then-NIAID Director Anthony Fauci added a BSL-4 lab that can study "deadly pathogens with pandemic potential," and how Congress and the public will learn of RML's research with "select agents."

 

The Nov. 20 meeting minutes show an unassuming notation at the very end of biosafety officer Rececca Anderson's report.

 

Under "Biological Incidents to Report," the minutes say: "Form 3 reported to Federal Select Agent Program on 11/13/2025." There was no subsequent discussion by the committee, and the meeting adjourned an hour earlier than scheduled.

 

The Department of Health and Human Services told Just the News Wednesday night what happened: An RML employee was "found to be potentially exposed to Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever through an accidental breach of personal protective equipment."

 

That person was "immediately isolated and monitored under appropriate care at a specialized medical facility before it was confirmed that no actual exposure or transmission had occurred," press secretary Emily Hilliard wrote in an email. "At no time was there any risk to the public or to other staff."

 

WCW Senior Vice President Justin Goodman responded with four exclamation points when Just the News showed him HHS's explanation.

 

"CCHF is a foreign virus that causes massive bleeding, multi-organ failure and has a kill rate as high as 40 percent," he wrote in an email, attaching a disturbing photo of a monkey subjected to the virus at RML.

WCW has spent years campaigning to expose and defund the research at RML, Goodman said. "Recklessly importing CCHF to the US for dangerous animal experiments is [a] recipe for disaster right [out] of Dr Fauci’s cookbook" yet is continuing "under the current NIH leadership."
