Corrupt Bank Defended by Mexican President to Close After U.S. Treasury’s Cartel Sanctions

A cartel-connected bank, once defended by Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, lost its license to operate in Mexico and is in the process of selling off its assets. The move comes just months after the U.S. Department of the Treasury sanctioned the bank and two other financial institutions for having laundered money for drug cartels and for helping move money to China to pay for fentanyl precursors.

 

This week, Mexico’s Bank Savings Protection Institution (IPAB) announced that CI Banco was in the process of liquidating its assets following the revocation of its license by Mexico’s National Banking Commission (CNBV). The IPAB stated that it was in the process of protecting the savings of individual customers amid the closing.

 

As Breitbart Texas reported, in June, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury revealed that CI Banco and two other financial institutions had been tied to cartel-connected money laundering networks.

 

In their initial report, U.S. Treasury officials revealed that CI Banco worked with the Beltran Leyva Cartel, the Gulf Cartel, and Cartel Jalisco New Generation. In one case, U.S. authorities revealed that in 2023, a Gulf Cartel member established an account to launder $10 million. Officials also claimed that CI Banco had moved $2.1 million from Mexico to China to pay for fentanyl precursors.

 

Almost immediately after the U.S. Treasury issued its report, Mexico’s Secretariat of Treasury and Public Credit issued a series of statements demanding proof of the allegations and claiming that they had found no evidence of criminal actions by the banks. The agency claimed to have only found administrative faults.

 

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum also tried to dismiss the claims and stated several times that U.S. authorities had not provided evidence to support their allegations. The sanctions have sparked much controversy in Mexico since several key political figures have been linked to the financial institutions at various levels.

If there’s some sort of evidence , anon is open to evaluating it with an open mind but much of what has been reported was garbage because no chemical evidence of gas in walls, chimneys built post war, mathematical impossibility to burn anywhere near that many bodies in time frame given etc. Most importantly the Red Cross documents provide much smaller numbers but most importantly perhaps there weren’t 6mill Jews even in Europe.

Madonna begs Pope Leo to visit Gaza 'before it’s too late'

Madonna has called on Pope Leo XIV to visit Gaza in order to "bring your light to the children before it's too late".

The US pop star, considered one of the most successful female solo acts of all time and who was born and raised as a Catholic, shared her plea on Instagram.

 

"Most Holy Father, please go to Gaza and bring your light to the children before it's too late. As a mother, I cannot bear to watch their suffering. The children of the world belong to everyone."

 

She added: "You are the only one of us who cannot be denied entry. We need the humanitarian gates to be fully opened to save these innocent children.

 

"There is no more time. Please say you will go. Love, Madonna."

 

Her comments come after an Italian Catholic priest who has been harshly critical of Israel’s war in Gaza was denied entry to Israel and placed on a flight from Tel Aviv to Greece, reports The Times of Israel.

Father Nandino Capovilla, 63, a priest in Marghera, near Venice, landed at Ben Gurion Airport on 11 August to take part in a “Pilgrimage of Justice” organised by the Catholic peace movement Pax Christi.

 

Capovilla was reportedly stopped at border control and eventually given a form to sign, which stated that he could not enter Israel for reasons related to security or public order.

Israel has faced mounting pressure over the humanitarian situation in Gaza, with experts last month warning that "the worst-case scenario of famine" was playing out in the conflict zone, the BBC reports.

It notes that Madonna's plea comes as the UK, EU, Australia, Canada and Japan issued a statement saying "famine is unfolding in front of our eyes", while the nations urged action to "reverse starvation".

 

Last week, the BBC notes, the UN's humanitarian agency said the amount of aid entering Gaza continued to be "far below the minimum required". The agency said it continued to experience impediments and delays as it tries to collect aid from Israeli-controlled border zones.

Israel has continued to deny that starvation is occurring in Gaza and has accused UN agencies of not collecting aid at the border crossing points and delivering it.

In July, Pope Leo said that he is following the humanitarian crisis in Gaza with “great concern” while also renewing his “heartfelt appeal for a ceasefire”.

The U.S. Court of International Trade incredibly ruled against the United States of America on desperately needed Tariffs but, fortunately, the full 11 Judge Panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Court has just stayed the order by the Manhattan-based Court of International Trade.

Where do these initial three Judges come from? How is it possible for them to have potentially done such damage to the United States of America?

Is it purely a hatred of “TRUMP?” What other reason could it be?

I was new to Washington, and it was suggested that I useThe Federalist Societyas a recommending source on Judges.

I did so, openly and freely, but then realized that they were under the thumb ofa real “sleazebag” named Leonard Leo, a bad person who, in his own way, probably hates America, and obviously has his own separate ambitions.

He openly brags how he controls Judges, and even Justices of the United States Supreme Court — I hope that is not so, and don’t believe it is!

In any event, Leo left The Federalist Society to do his own “thing.” I am so disappointed in The Federalist Society because of the bad advice they gave me on numerous Judicial Nominations.

This is something that cannot be forgotten!With all of that being said, I am very proud of many of our picks, but very disappointed in others.

They always must do what’s right for the Country!

In this case, it is only because of my successful use of Tariffs that many Trillions of Dollars have already begun pouring into the U.S.A. from other Countries, money that, without these Tariffs, we would not be able to get.

It is the difference between having a rich, prosperous, and successful United States of America, and quite the opposite. The ruling by the U.S. Court of International Trade is so wrong, and so political!

Hopefully, the Supreme Court will reverse thishorrible, Country threateningdecision, QUICKLY and DECISIVELY.

Backroom “hustlers” must not be allowed to destroy our Nation!

The horrific decision stated that I would have to get the approval of Congress for these Tariffs.

In other words, hundreds of politicians would sit around D.C. for weeks, and even months, trying to come to a conclusion as to what to charge other Countries that are treating us unfairly.

If allowed to stand, this would completely destroy Presidential Power — The Presidency would never be the same! This decision is being hailed all over the World by every Country, other than the United States of America.

Radical Left Judges, together with some very bad people, are destroying America. Under this decision, Trillions of Dollars would be lost by our Country, money that will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

It would be the harshest financial ruling ever leveled on us as a Sovereign Nation. The President of the United States must be allowed to protect America against those that are doing it Economic and Financial harm.

A new analysis of our solar system’s interstellar interloper, 3I/ATLAS, reveals that it’s spewing huge amounts of water — and astronomers can’t immediately explain why.

The object, which is widely believed to be comet, showed strong ultraviolet emissions that are unmistakable telltales of hydroxyl gas (OH), a byproduct of water, when astronomers imaged it with NASA’s Neil Gehrels Swift space telescope before it disappeared behind the Sun. The emissions could only be spotted from space because the ultraviolet light would get absorbed in the atmosphere.

 

Their findings, detailed in a new study published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters, argue that the presence of all this OH indicates the comet is ejecting water vapor at a torrential rate of about 88 pounds per second — around the same rate as a fire hose running at full blast, according to a press release about the findings.

 

The most extraordinary thing is that this was spotted happening pretty far from the Sun, at a heliocentric distance of about three astronomical units (AU) away, or three times the distance between the Earth and our star. Typically, comets stray much closer to the Sun before the water ice in their core, called a nucleus, begins to sublimate, or instantly transform from a solid to a gas. Something else must be driving all the water dumping from 3I/ATLAS — which also implies, tantalizingly, that the comet must harbor considerable stores of water for this process to keep going.

Chinese Cyberattackers Impersonate Epoch Times to Threaten Federal Agencies, White House

 

The fake threats are the latest effort in an escalating campaign carried out by the Chinese regime.

Chinese cyberactors have claimed that they impersonated The Epoch Times to send threatening emails to multiple federal agencies and the White House.

 

The attackers notified The Epoch Times of their threats in a Chinese-language email dated Sept. 6 with the subject line “See the screenshots, you are done.”

 

Three screenshots of the threats were attached to the email; one showed the “Contact Us” form on the White House website, with The Epoch Times’ phone number and email filled in. In a comment littered with exclamation marks, the sender claimed to represent practitioners of Falun Gong, a spiritual community persecuted in China, and threatened violence against the White House.

 

“We will throw incendiary bombs and explosives! If anyone tries to stop us, we will open fire!” the message states. It then threatened to “simultaneously broadcast this magnificent feat live” on a variety of platforms, including YouTube, The Epoch Times, and its sister media outlet, NTD.

 

The message claimed that the acts were to be in retaliation for “your failure to help us address the Communist Party’s transnational repression.”

 

Similar fake threats were allegedly sent to the CIA, the Department of Justice, and the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department.

 

The impersonator used an Epoch Times email address as the contact email in each of the threatening messages.

 

“What can you do with me?” the sender wrote in Chinese, claiming to be based in Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province in central China.

 

The Epoch Times was founded by practitioners of Falun Gong in 2000 in Atlanta, with the goal of providing truthful and accurate news out of heavily censored China. The newspaper has focused on reporting on human rights abuses in China, including the ruling Chinese Communist Party’s eradication campaign against Falun Gong, a spiritual practice based on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance.

Huang Wanqing, editor-in-chief of the Chinese-language Epoch Times, said the impersonators’ emails align closely with intimidation tactics employed by agents of the Chinese Communist Party and its proxies.

 

“We condemn the perpetrator for trying to create terror,” Huang said in a statement.
