State House Majority Leader Joe Fitzgibbon of West Seattle admits being drunk on the job

February 26, 2026 3:43

Thanks for the tips about citywide-media reports that 34th District State Rep. Joe Fitzgibbon, who serves as State House Majority Leader, has acknowledged being drunk on the job.We requested and obtained his statement from the State House Democrats‘ office:

I deeply regret and apologize for the fact that I consumed alcohol before the work of the Appropriations Committee was completed on Wednesday, and the result was obvious. This was a serious mistake for many reasons. Being impaired in that situation was harmful to my work and to my co-workers. This was a painful and embarrassing lesson, one I won’t forget, and I will not put myself and others in this situation again in the future. Again, I apologize.

“The result” is visible/audible in video from a hearing, as recorded by TVW (and embedded here).

Fitzgibbon has been in the 34th District’s State House Position 2 for 15 years and has been House Majority Leader for three years. He has filed to run for re-election this year, after winning his current term in 2024 with 84 percent of the vote over Republican challenger Jolie Lansdowne.

We also have received a statement from State House Speaker Rep. Laurie Jinkins (D-Tacoma) about the situation:

We expect professionalism in the workplace, and while Rep. Fitzgibbon did not meet that standard Wednesday night, he has acknowledged that behavior is unacceptable and has apologized. The people of Washington expect and deserve their legislators to be fully focused and clear on the work we are here to do on their behalf, and House Democratic Caucus leadership stands with Rep. Fitzgibbon as he takes whatever steps he needs to ensure his well-being.

We’ll add anything more we find out about fallout

NEW: Assault charge DROPPED in viral Washington Square Park snowball fight case.

DA Office declined to move forward with an assault charge against 27-year-old Gusmane Coulibaly, instead filing a misdemeanor count of obstructing governmental administration and a harassment violation.

According to prosecutors, a review of the evidence did not establish that an officer sustained a physical injury directly tied to Coulibaly’s actions, which is required to support an assault charge.

Woman Faces Multiple Charges After Forgetting to Empty Cocaine From Jail Purse

By Sheriff Wayne Ivey // February 21, 2026

6 GRAMS OF COCAINE TUCKED AWAY

While you do get to bring your belongings with you to jail when you get arrested, it’s probably a good idea to empty out your “jail purse” before arriving at the concierge desk, especially if it’s filled with cocaine. (BCSO image)

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – While you do get to bring your belongings with you to jail when you get arrested, it’s probably a good idea to empty out your “jail purse” before arriving at the concierge desk, especially if it’s filled with cocaine.

Of course that’s a piece of advice that Dymond Osbourne, who was arrested this past Monday, could have used prior to getting arrested for throwing a cinder block through the back window of someone’s vehicle.

Now, while her reasoning for doing that is still a mystery, it did earn her a courtesy ride to Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge where she got to meet some of our incredible staff who assisted in booking her reservation.

While she was being booked in and changing into her exclusive resort attire, she told our Corrections Staff that she actually had a bag of cocaine in her jail purse. (Inside her gross body)

In addition, Dymond admitted that even though she was handcuffed behind her back while being transported, she was able to maneuver her hands enough to eat some additional cocaine that she had concealed inside her pants.

A subsequent search revealed thatshe had approximately 6 grams of cocaine tucked away in her…well let’s just call it “her personal place.”

So with that, Dymond not only got charged with criminal mischief for throwing the cinder block, but also Introduction Of A Controlled Substance Into A Detention Facility, Possession Of A Controlled Substance, and Tampering With Evidence.

I’ve heard of packing a carry on when traveling, but this takes that statement to a whole new level!

Martini in student's lunch box prompts Georgia police to warn parents: 'That is NOT Apple Juice'

“That is a whole ‘Parent had a long night’ starter pack,” read the tongue-in-cheek warning from the local PD, along with a picture of the canned martini that was packed in a child's lunch.

Feb. 26, 2026, 10:32 AM EST / Updated Feb. 26, 2026, 1:25 PM EST

Hey, it's homeroom or happy hour somewhere in the world, right?

Police near Atlanta kindly asked parents Wednesday to double-check lunches they pack for their children after one tyke came to school with a martini to wash down a midday snack.

The South Fulton Police Department released a picture of what, at a quick glance, looked like a normal school lunch.

But on closer examination, the aluminum can wasn't juice, soda or any other non-intoxicating beverage. It was a can of lemon martini made with "vodka, triple sec and lemon juice," according to its label.

“That is NOT Capri Sun. That is NOT Apple Juice,” police said in a statement about the youngster's one-martini lunch. “That is a whole ‘Parent had a long night’ starter pack.”

The beverage, made by San Diego-based Cutwater, is 11% alcohol, or about twice the ABV of most beers.

"Check the lunchbox before the Fulton County Schools Police resource officers gotta do inventory at recess," South Fulton police added.

A Cutwater representative could not immediately be reached for comment Thursday.

Stowaway Svetlana Dali successfully sneaks on plane to Europe again, sources say 1/2

CNN's Saskya Vandoorne captured an image of Delta stowaway Svetlana Dali as her return flight landed at JFK on December 4, 2024.==

A womanpreviously convictedofsidestepping securityand airline agents to board a flight to Pariswithout a tickethas been detained in Milan, Italy for allegedly stowing away yet again.

Svetlana Dali snuck by the airline employeesat Gate C74 at Newark Liberty International Airport and onto United flight 19, Wednesday night according to a law enforcement source.

The Boeing 777-200, which seats 364, departed Newark at 5:51 p.m. ET, according to FlightAware.

Sometime during the more thanseven-hourflight airline staff on the planediscovered Dali was onboard without a ticket.

When the plane landed in Milan at 7:09 a.m. Thursday, she was detained by law enforcement.

Safety and security are our highest priorities,” (WTF?) United Airlines said in a statement. “We are investigating this incident and working with the appropriate authorities.”

The FBIin Newark told CNN they are aware of the “alleged stowaway.”

“We are working with Port Authority and TSA on this open investigation,” said FBI spokesperson Emily Molinari in a statement.

CNN has reached out to the Transportation Security Administration for more information.

Security footage shows woman accused of sneaking onto …

Dali stows-away to Paris in November 2024

In November 2024,Dali, who is a Russian national and US permanentresident, successfullystowed awayon Delta Air Lines flight 264 from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Security video released after her arrest, showed Dali bypassingan airport employee in charge of acrew member security checkpointandwalking with airline staff past the stationwhere her ID and boarding pass would have been checked. At that point, she was scanned and received a pat-down while her possessions were screened.

At the gate, with a grey hoodie pulled over her head, Dali placed herself in the middle of what appeared to be afamily traveling togetherand made it past the gate agentwithout being noticed.

Once onboard the plane, she spent some time apparentlyhiding in the bathroomto remain out of the crew’s sight, butwas eventually discovered, other passengers told CNN. She was detained after arriving in Paris.

Dali was returned to the United States and appeared in federal courtin Brooklyn, where her court appointed lawyer argued for her release.

“We do not believe she is a serious risk of flight,” federal public defense attorney Michael Schneider told the court at the time.“It’s not as if she can sneak on a flight every day.”(really that is what her lawyer said, how is that an excuse, it’s like he’s saying, “she was only a criminal just two times on international flights!)

Yet, shortly after getting out of jail, pending trial, Dali tried to leave the United States again, prosecutors said.

In December2024, she managed to cut off an electronic ankle monitorand boarded a Greyhound busbound for Canada, a law enforcement source told CNN at the time.

Dali was arrested and held in custody for more than seven months until her conviction for illegally boarding the Paris flight. She was subsequentlysentenced to time served.

During her sentencing, Dalirepeated a claim that she believes she is being poisoned by someoneand said, through a Russian translator, that “all of these actions were taken in order to save my life.”(why didn’t she call the police or FBI? Pathetic liar.)

Paris flight was not her first attempt, prosecutors said

During her trial for stowing away to France, prosecutors saidshe had attempted to board flightswithout documentationat least twice before.

Dali tried to stowaway on a plane at Bradley International Airport near Hartford, Connecticut, two days before she made it on the plane at JFK, they said.

And In February 2024, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents discovered her hiding in a bathroomin a secured area in the international arrivals zoneof Miami International Airport.

https://www.cnn.com/2026/02/26/us/stowaway-flies-again

This whole thing reveals how law enforcement of airplane flights are more incompetent and probably miss terrorists all the time. It’s shocking that this wasn’t the first time. How did the surveillance videos at the airports, not catch her when it was second time?

Anthony Fauci’s Wife Is Speaking on ‘Ethics’ at Colleges That Profited Under His COVID Policies

She’s lecturing on ‘Ethics.’ Seriously.

NATALIE WINTERS

FEB 27, 2026

For nearly two years, universities across the country cited federal public-health guidance tojustify shutting down campuses while continuing to charge full tuition.

Now, several of thosesame institutions are hosting one of the most prominent figures connected to that federal pandemic apparatus.

Since stepping down from her longtime leadership role at the National Institutes of Health,Christine Grady— former chief of the NIH Clinical Center’s Department ofBioethics — has appeared on a steady circuit of elite university stages.

Grady is also the spouse of Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), whose agency’spandemic guidance heavily influenced how colleges structured COVID-era shutdowns.

=+A review of public university event pages and institutional announcements shows the following speaking engagements:==

April 22, 2021 — La Crosse, Wisconsin

Grady delivered a keynote address at “Nursing Research on the Green,” an ethics-focused nursing forum hosted by a coalition that included Viterbo University School of Nursing, Gundersen Health System, Mayo Clinic Health System–Franciscan Healthcare, Sigma Theta Tau nursing chapters, and other regional health institutions.

March 2025 — College of the Holy Cross

Grady participated in a public residency event and campus discussion focused on bioethics and public trust in science.

September 4, 2025 — University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Grady headlined a Clinical Ethics / Neuroethics Grand Rounds event hosted by UNC’s Center for Bioethics and Department of Neurology.

December 9, 2025 — University of Pennsylvania

The Department of Medical Ethics & Health Policy at the Perelman School of Medicine invited Grady to speak in its Research Ethics and Policy Series.

April 8, 2026 — University of Michigan

Grady is scheduled to deliver the Bishop Lecture in Bioethics at the CHHASSEM Symposium.

June 10, 2026 — Georgetown University

Grady is listed as a speaker for the Intensive Bioethics Course (IBC 47), hosted by the Kennedy Institute of Ethics and the Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, federal guidance issued byagencies including NIAID and the NIH shaped the framework universities relied on when suspending in-person instruction. Colleges across the country moved students off campus, closed facilities, restricted campus access, and shifted to remote learning — while, in many cases, maintaining existing tuition structures.

Universities defending those decisionsrepeatedly cited federal public-health guidance as thebasis for emergency action.

At the same time, the universities now hosting Grady are among the largest recipients of NIH research funding in the country.

Medical schools at University of Pennsylvania, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Michigan, and Georgetown University collectively receive hundreds of millions — and in some cases over a billions — dollars annually in NIH grants across research programs.

That creates a structural dynamic:

• federal health agencies influence policy during a crisis;

• universities rely on those agencies for both guidance andsubstantial research dollars;

• those same universities then hostsenior figures from within that federal ecosystem in high-profile ethics forums.

https://nataliegwinters.substack.com/p/anthony-faucis-wife-is-speaking-on?utm_source=app-post-stats-page&r=gb03o&utm_medium=ios&triedRedirect=true

What pisses off the citizens should be how many people they killed and who were never been prosecuted; and they are still pushing this bullshit to steal more money, and corrupting Medical Ethics even more for money. So they can now create more pandemics.
