Sen. John Cornyn flips on the filibuster to pass SAVE America Act as Trump weighs endorsement.1/2(sorry for all the red text, but I hate these traitors)

Cornyn, who spent years defending the filibuster, is locked in a competitive GOP runoff in Texas against Ken Paxton, who has aligned with Trump on the issue.

(PDJT never believe a word his says.)

WASHINGTON —Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, reversed himself on the Senate filibuster Wednesday after years of unflinching supportfor the 60-vote threshold to pass most bills.

Now, locked in a competitive Republican runoff for his Senate seat and eyeing President Donald Trump's endorsement, Cornyn sayshe'll support "whatever changes to Senate rules that may prove necessary" to pass the SAVE America Act, a sweeping election overhaul bill that Trump has called his No. 1 priority. (Liar!!!)

Cornyn's comments are part of an op-ed he wrote in the New York Post published Wednesday, titled: "Why the SAVE Act matters more than the filibuster."

The legislation would impose proof-of-citizenship requirements to register to vote, require photo ID to cast a ballot in person or by mail, and require states to run voter rolls through a federal database kept by the Department of Homeland Security.== (we know he’s lying because he will never be elected again )

Cornyn supports the bill, but his GOP runoff opponent, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, has aligned with Trump in calling for abolition of the filibuster to pass it and criticized Cornyn for refusing to take the same stance.

NBC News reported Tuesday that Trump had seemed ready to endorse Cornyn in the race just one week ago,but that the president's decision is now in "a holding pattern"as Trump emphasizes thatCongress must do everything in its power to pass the SAVE America Act.

Cornyn denied Wednesday that he shifted his position on the filibusterto win Trump's endorsement, telling NBC News: "I would say that's not true."(lie!)

The legislation has passed the House but faces a tough path to 60 votes in the Senate, where Democrats have promised to filibuster it.

Noncitizen voting is already illegal and very rare, and Trump has now asked Congress to add other provisions to the bill that would ban transgender people from women's and girls' sports.

"After careful consideration, I support whatever changes to Senate rules that may prove necessary for us to get the SAVE America Actand homeland security funding past the Democrats’ obstruction, through the Senate, and on the president’s desk for his signature," Cornyn wrote in his op-ed. (Lie!)

"This could be a 'talking filibuster' that removes the obstructionists’ free passand makes them defend their indefensible views on the Senate floor,or it could be a different reform," Cornyn added.

But when Democrats floated changes to the filibuster in the past, Cornyn strenuously defended the 60-vote threshold, like in early 2022when Democrats sought to pass their own election overhaul bill, called the Freedom to Vote Act.

"Power is fleeting, and at some point the shoe will always be on the other foot," Cornyn said at the time, in January 2022. "Liberal activists may like the idea of nuking the filibuster today, but they'll soon find themselves ruing the day their party broke the Senate."

He said in another speech that same month, “Not only are our colleagues trying to seize the authority given under the Constitution to the states to manage their own elections, they’re willing to take a wrecking ball to the United States Senate itself and, particularly, the Senate rules.”

And he defended it on Fox News in 2022. “That’s what the filibuster does. It requires us to work together,” Cornyn said.

Cornyn addressed his past defense of the filibuster in Wednesday's op-ed.

"I spent years defending the filibuster because the 60-vote threshold was a net benefit to Texasand our nation," he wrote. "Before moderate Democrats went extinct, the rules worked. … The Democrats’ recklessness and radicalism have changed the landscape."

AskedWednesday specifically abouthis past statement that changing the filibuster would "take a wrecking ball"to Senate rules, Cornyn replied:"I said I’d be open to reforms."(lie)

When asked follow-up questions, Cornyn put his hand in front of NBC News' camera and said, "Go away." (Liar dodging!)

Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., meanwhile, has repeatedly said thatthere are not enough votes in the Senate to undo the filibuster or pass the bill.(which proves the senate republican will betray what is best for America in elections. Expose them all!)

"Sen. Cornyn is one of 53 Republican senators, and the opposition to nuking the filibuster runs very, very deep in our conference, I think, as you know," he said Wednesday. (Liar!)

Thune told reporters that he will bring the SAVE America Act to the floor but that Democrats will vote it down. "I can guarantee the debate. I can guarantee a vote," he said a day earlier."I just can’t guarantee an outcome."(meaning he’s telling Republicans and Democrats to vote against it. He’s a fucking liar. Thune is going to regret his betrayal of America and all citizens.)

Dozens of U.S. service members in Kuwait suffered serious injuries, including burns, brain trauma and shrapnel wounds, sources say (only American News report this to the world they wouldn’t have done it under Obama!) 1/2

By Jennifer Jacobs, Eleanor Watson, James LaPorta

Updated on: March 11, 2026 / 1:35 PM

An Iranian drone attack in Kuwait that killed six U.S. service members in the early hours of the war with Iranwas more severe than has previously been revealed, with dozens suffering injuries including brain trauma, shrapnel wounds and burns, multiple sources told CBS News. At least one may require the amputation of a limb.

Sources(???) described a grim and chaotic scene in the aftermath of the strike on a tactical operations center at the Shuaiba port outside Kuwait City on March 1. Smoke quickly filled the building, making it difficult to rescue those inside.

More than 30 military members remained in hospitalsTuesday night with battle injuries from the Kuwait attack — one at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, 12 at Walter Reed Medical Center in suburban Washington, D.C., andabout 25 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, sources said.

Of those, about 20 arrived on a C-17 military transport aircraft at Landstuhl on Tuesday with injuries the military designated as "urgent" and requiring evacuation, including traumatic brain injuries, memory loss and concussions, three of the sources said.

More than 100 medical personnel were sent to Landstuhl to assist, one of the sources said.

Defense Department officials initially didn't specify how many had been hurt in the Kuwait attack, but said on March 1 that five were seriously wounded and "several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions."

Two of the service members were missing after the attack and were later found under the rubble, sources said.

The Pentagon has a process to notify wounded soldiers' family membersand seeks to shield them from learning from press releases about how extensive the injuries were.

The military defines a serious injury as one that "requires medical attention, and competent medical authority declares that death is possible but not likely to occur within 72 hours."

Speaking at the Pentagon last week, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, described the strike: "You have air defenses, and a lot's coming in, and you hit most of it.Every once in a while, you might have one, unfortunately, we call it a squirter, that makes its way through. And in that particular case, it happened to hit a tactical operations center that was fortified, but these are powerful weapons."

At least one American was killed in a separate strike in Saudi Arabia March 1.It is unclear how many others may have been injured in that attack.

On Tuesday, the 11th day of the war,Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said about 140 American service members had been injured so far, without specifying where or when they were wounded.

"The vast majority of these injuries have been minor, and 108 service members have already returned to duty. Eight service members remain listed as severely injured and are receiving the highest level of medical care," Parnell said in a statement.

The military has robust air defenses shielding all U.S. personnel in range of Iranian attacks, sources told CBS News.

Pentagon spokespeople did not immediately respond to questions on Tuesday about service members' injuries or where they were sustained.

Editor's note: A previous version of this article said that at least one of the Americans wounded in the March 1 attack in Kuwait "required the amputation of a limb," but the individual has not yet undergone an amputation. The report has been updated.

>>24369121 President Trump takes off from the South Lawn of the White House for stops in Cincinnati, Ohio and Hebron, KentuckyPN

I think I just got why PDJT is wearing the purple tie, along with some in his Admin.

Our country will never bow to Royalty and America will win.

Purple has always represented Royalty. He is not claiming royalty lineage (although he certainly is part of the the royal lineage), it’s his yelling “Fuck You”to the royalty lineage and they can’t trick him because he was in it, and he is fighting every Royal family that has been and will continue to destroy the common man. He will never let that happen.

They really have no idea who Trump really is, as we witnessed his behavior with King Charles. It was not submissive behavior, but he was equal or above him. And Charles bowed to it.

That was his last trip to the UK! They were warned and City of London was told what is happening to them now. They have failed and their power has been taken away.

No wonder London and UK are so fucked up now, they do not know how to deal with the “forgotten son” that is so much smarter than them.

It is important to understand why the MOAB (Mother of All Bombs) may have seen its second operational use in history:

Iran was planning to manufacture around 200 missiles per month, with ambitions to ramp up production to 500. Within three years, such a facility could have produced over 10,000 missiles.

Imagine the devastating potential to terrorize Gulf states, Israel, and parts of Europe—especially as Iran developed longer-range missiles capable of reaching the mainland United States. Now, that key facility has been destroyed ("caput").

Republicans plan marathon debate for SAVE America Act

But don’t call it a “talking filibuster.”

03/11/2026, 3:21PM

Senate Republicans are planning for days of marathon sessions as they try to put Democrats on defense over their controversial elections bill backed by President Donald Trump.

The strategy, described by two aides granted anonymity to comment on private deliberations, is emerging after GOP leaders signaled they will bring the SAVE America Act to the Senate floornext week.

But it will fall short of the “talking filibuster” that some hard-line conservatives want to force. That’s becauseleaders are still expected to move to curtail debate at some point by invoking existing Senate rules and setting up a vote at 60-vote margin— meaning it will fail given the opposition from Democrats and even some Republican senators.

Even so, GOP senators are preparing for a lengthy debate that is expected to stretch at least past the end of next week. The strategy could include scheduling overnight sessions and forcing Democrats to stay on the floor to prevent any Republican from calling a final vote on the bill.

Republicans arealso preparing amendments that would reflect Trump’s expanded visionfor the legislation to include banning transgender women from participating in women’s sports and prohibiting gender-affirming surgery for children.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune said Wednesday that Republicans are also talking through how to address Trump’s broad opposition to mail voting.

Many Republicans represent states that have long offered no-excuse mail voting, something Trump has railed against in recent statements.

“I understand his passion,” Thune said, suggesting Republicans would focus on “ballot harvesting” instead.“We’re working through what that actual proposal might look like and to address what I think is the real problem.”

Tillis says DOJ probe of Powell ‘reaching the point of the absurd’

(He is Blackmailing the Admin and the US Government)

The North Carolina Republican said Fed chair nominee Kevin Warsh “possesses impeccable credentials and a clear vision for maintaining the Fed’s independence.”

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) on Wednesday suggested that the Justice Department should admit it made a mistake by launching an investigation related to Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.

Asked by reporters about a potential off-ramp to his objections to moving any Fed nominees — including President Donald Trump’s pick for chair, Kevin Warsh — until the DOJ probe is resolved,Tillis responded: “I’m not going to try and help them out of a box canyon.”

“There’s one way out of a box canyon,” he added. “It’s admitting you made a mistake.”(This tells us that Tillis receives millions of dollars in donations by the billionaires on the Federal Reserve, and he’s a buddy of Powell.)

The Justice Department issued subpoenas in January to the Fed,probing Powell’s statements to Congress about the central bank’s headquarters renovations. The probe was revealed by the Fed chair himself in an unprecedented video message where he accused the administration of using the investigation to pressure him to lower interest rates.Tillis has expressed similar fears.

“You got seven witnesses at this alleged scene of the crime— Republican members of the Banking Committee, including the chair, who said no crime was committed,” Tillis said. “What part of this is not reaching the point of the absurd?” (Who are the six others that are bribed by the Federal Reserve?)

The senator also said in a post on X thathe was awaiting clarification from the D.C. District Court, an apparent reference to an effort by the Fed to challenge the subpoenas. Typically, pre-indictment grand jury proceedings remain sealed.

Tillis said it washis hope that the issue would be resolved in time for Warsh to be confirmedto take over as Fed chief when Powell’s term ends in May.

He met with Warsh on Tuesday and said in his post that, “He possesses impeccable credentials and a clear vision for maintaining the Fed’s independence while achieving its dual mandate. It is unfortunate that an ongoing investigation prevents me from voting.”

Oversight chair: Epstein accountant named individuals who fueled Epstein’s wealth

The co-executor of the convicted sex offender’s estate testified Wednesday behind closed doors on Capitol Hill.1/2

HAILEY FUCHS

03/11/2026, 3:56PM ET

Jeffrey Epstein’s accountant Richard Kahnprovided a House panel with the names of individuals who allegedly contributed to the late convicted sex offender’s fortune, Rep. James Comer told reporters Wednesday —further expanding the circle of possible witnessesthe House Oversight and Government Reform Committee could subpoena for testimony as part of its ongoing Epstein investigation.

Those people include former Victoria’s Secret CEO Les Wexner, former Apollo Global Management CEO Leon Black, former Microsoft Windows Division President Steven Sinofsky and hedge fund investor Glenn Dubin, according to Comer, the committee chair.

The Kentucky Republican said Khan, during his closed-door interview, also implicated “the Rothschilds,” a historically prominent banking family.

“These were … people that made significant transactions,” Comer said during a break in Kahn’s hours-long deposition on Capitol Hill. “So what Kahn said is,he was under the impression that Epstein made his money as a tax advisor and a financial planner. So these were the five people that transferred significant sums of money to Epstein.”

Wexner told the Oversight committee in Februaryhe had no knowledge of Epstein’s crimes during the time of their business relationship. Black received a letter from Comer last week requesting his testimony.

A spokesperson for Black has said previously that he looked forward to answering the committee’s questions about Epstein, who was hired “for tax and estate planning work.” The spokesperson said Wednesdaythat Kahn provided no new information to lawmakers.

A spokesperson for Wexner, in a statement,refuted Kahn’s claims.

“Mr. Wexner did not transfer money to Epstein,” the spokesperson said. “Epstein was retained to provide wealth management services for well over a decade, for which he was paid for his services. In addition, Epstein stole funds from Mr. Wexner, about $100 million of which Mr. Wexner was able to recover.”

Aspokesperson for Dubin also denied Kahn’s account, specifically that he was an Epstein client. Epstein was reportedly paid $15 million as part of JPMorgan Chase’s purchase of Highbridge Capital Management, which Dubin founded.

Sinofsky declined to comment, while a spokesperson for the Edmond de Rothschild bank did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

None of these individuals have been formally charged in connection to Epstein’s crimesand neither has Kahn. And before the deposition got underway Wednesday morning, Comer told reporters thathe had “no reason to suspect” the accountant was guilty of misconduct

Still, committee members were eager to learn more about what Kahn might have known about Epstein’s illegal activities — and hopeful hewould be able to fill in some of the blanks about the source of Epstein’s wealth and finances. Next week, the Oversight Committee is scheduled to depose Darren Indyke, Epstein’s lawyer and a co-executor of his estate.

“Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking ring would not have been possible without Richard Khan, who managed Epstein’s money for years, authorized payments, including payments to victims and survivors,” said Rep. James Walkinshaw(D-Va.) during a break in proceedings. “I do not find it credible that he had no knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes. If he was ignorant of Epstein’s crimes, he was willfully ignorant of those crimes.”

Rep. Suhas Subramanyam (D-Va.) noted thatKahn told the committee that a non-American “head of state” had conducted financial transactions with Epsteinand that a person who accused President Donald Trump of misconduct was provided a settlement from Epstein’s estate.

Subramanyan did not provide further details on either allegation but saidin response to a question he was referring to allegations of sexual abuse.

The Justice Department recently released new materials suggesting that a woman, who was a minor at the time, accused of Trump of sexual assault. The White House has denied the allegations, and Trump has not been charged with any wrongdoing related to the Epstein case.

Reached for comment Wednesday, the White House pointed to an earlier statement from press secretary Karoline Leavitt, in which she called the allegations “baseless accusations from decades ago [that] are backed by zero evidence or facts.”

An administration official, granted anonymity to speak candidly, said theWhite House “would have no visibility into decisions allegedly made by other entities.”

In a prepared opening statement obtained by POLITICO,Kahn said he had no knowledge of Epstein’s abuse of women and girls, and that he only “provided [Epstein] outside accounting and bookkeeping services.”

Kahn also maintained he was serving as a co-executor of Epstein’s estate because he thought his information on Epstein’s finances could help victims. He said he already has helped facilitate compensation for many of these women.

(No one will ever tell the truth, if they want to live! Epstein may or may not be dead, but the ones behind him will be eternally invisible!)

Oklahoma Rep. Hern launches bid to succeed Mullin in Senate

The House GOP lawmaker is thefirst to enter a likely crowded racefor the open seat as Mullin awaits confirmation to be the next DHS secretary.

FINYA SWAI

03/11/2026, 3:00PM ET

GOP Rep. Kevin Hern announced his campaign Wednesday for an open Senate seat in Oklahoma to replace Sen. Markwayne Mullin, who President Donald Trump tapped to lead the Department of Homeland Security.

Hern, who chairs the Republican Policy Committee, is the first high-profile GOP candidateto officially enter the race for Mullin’s seat, which was already on the ballot this year.

Trump nominated Mullin last week to lead DHS. He’d replace ousted Secretary Kristi Noem, whose leadership amid his immigration crackdown caused months of turmoil and negative press for the agency.

Trump’s choice of a sitting senator sets up a reliable path to confirmation, with some Senate Democrats already open to voting for their colleague in the chamber.

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt will have 30 days to appoint a temporary replacement to serve the remainder of the term. But per state law, the interim senator must pledge not to run for a full term — and with an already thin Republican House majority, Stitt may be less inclined to appoint a sitting House member.

In his announcement video, Hern positioned himself as a staunch Trump ally and defender of the president’s “America First” agenda.=His campaign has already lined up support from several Senate Republicans, including Sens. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), Jim Banks (R-Ind.) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.).

First elected to Congress in 2018,Hern currently represents Oklahoma’s 1st Congressional District, which includes Tulsa.

The filing deadline for the seat is April 3, and the primary election will take place June 16.
