30-Year Police Veteran One Of Three Witnesses To Report Bigfoot Sighting Near Myrtle Beach

It's been fairly quiet on the Bigfoot front after the eight "high-credibility" reports over a five-day period earlier this month in Ohio.
The last we heard about the Ohio Bigfoot flap was that there were boots on the ground in the area conducting an investigation into the sightings.
I'm sure we'll hear a full detailed report once that investigation has been concluded. There was a meteor that hit the area on top of everything else.
One would hope a thorough investigation involves what, if anything, these Bigfoot may have known before the meteor arrived. But there are other sightings to not lose track of.
One of them, which showed up on The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization's website recently, actually happened back in January near Myrtle Beach. There were three witnesses on two separate occasions.
One of the witnesses, described by BFRO Investigator Bill Hanna as the "primary witness," is a 30-year police veteran.
"In the early afternoon on January 16, 2026, I was traveling west with a friend on SC 341 (Lake City Highway), going from Johnsonville, SC to Lake City, SC." the report states.

"As we approached the first of two bridges over Lynches River, my friend exclaimed, ‘Did you see that?!’ I turned my head to see what she had seen. My friend saw it better, but it was a bipedal being with black hair, quickly crossing the road, left to right, as we passed."
They estimate the presumed Bigfoot to be about six feet tall, and it crossed the road in only three or four steps before going down "a sharp embankment into a swampy pine forest thicket."
The speed at which it crossed the road and disappeared surprised them. Obviously, they weren’t able to snap a picture of the creature.
A couple of days later, on that same road, traveling in the same direction, another friend of the reporting witness "saw a being standing by the road, similar to the being I witnessed."
It was the same height as what they had seen just two days earlier. However, the "back-haired bipedal being" was just standing beside the road this time before making its exit.
Both of the sightings occurred on clear days, the first in the early afternoon and the second in the late morning.
"Though both sightings were quick observances, the witnesses were quite specific in what they observed. The primary witness is a 30-year police veteran, trained to make such observations in a short period," Investigator Hanna noted.
"She was sure of what she observed and described it in detail. The witness impressed me as being quite credible."
He also concluded that the area was a suitable one for a Bigfoot habitat. A Bigfoot just 35 miles or so from Myrtle Beach, perhaps they prefer to vacation at the beach during the offseason.

US Vice President JD Vance has claimed that UFOs are 'demons' in an interview with Benny Johnson.
Promising to 'get to the bottom of the UFO files', Vance appeared on The Benny Show this week, where he spoke about his 'obsession' with UFOs.
Vance was asked by Johnson if he was going to 'release the UFO files' to which Vance responded: "We're working on it… I will get to the bottom of the UFO files.
"I have not been able to spend enough time on this to understand it… I'm obsessed with this, I've had a couple of times where I've been like, we're going to Area 51, we're going out to New Mexico, we're going to get to the bottom of this.
"… I don't think they are aliens, I think they're demons anyway.
“I think that celestial beings who fly around to do weird things to people. I think that the desire to describe everything celestial, as otherworldly, to describe it as aliens…
“When I hear about extra natural phenomenon, that's where I go to is the Christian understanding that there's a lot of good out there, but there's also some evil out there. I think that one of the devil's great tricks is to convince people he never existed.”
In February, President Donald Trump announced that he would release the government files on aliens and UFOs.
While speculation over extra-terrestrial activity has always been fascinating, interest in the matter ramped up when Barack Obama appeared on Brian Tyler Cohen's podcast, declaring that aliens are real.
“But I haven't seen them, and they're not being kept in Area 51. There's no underground facility unless there's this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States," he said.
Trump later condemned Obama over the comment, saying: "He's not supposed to be doing that. He made a big mistake."
In a post on Truth Social shared in February, Trump said:
"Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters. GOD BLESS AMERICA!"
In a post on X on 23 February, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said that these documents will 'soon' be declassified… but we still haven't seen anything yet.
Here's to hoping there's some answers soon.

‘UFO, Aliens, Second Moon, Or Another Natural Phenomena?’: Video Of ‘Two Moons’ In Sky Puzzles Internet

‘UFO and alien’ conspiracy theorists yet again got ‘active’, after a rather confusing video began to float around on social media.
The clip was shared by a woman who was left stunned after allegedly spotting “two moons” in the night sky from her roof.
As per what was seen in the clip, her claim did sound correct, as the clip showed a brightly shining moon right next to ‘another moon’ that was slightly less bright.
To squash any possible speculations, the woman also clarified that it was not a result of some flare. She further stated in her caption that the video was “not AI-generated”.
Naturally, the clip went viral, leaving many reacting. Some speculated that it was some kind of “rare natural phenomenon", while others were quick to bring in their rather interesting “UFO and alien-related” theories.
This is not the first time that something like this was caught in the camera; a while back, a video of “seven suns” in the Chinese sky had gone viral. Reportedly, that was due to an atmospheric optical phenomena, called “sun dog”.
Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post.

The post was shared on Instagram by the handle ‘sakshiarche’. The post was shared 2 days ago and pulled many views from people.

Bill Maher argued that a growing number of credible sightings by military personnel and intelligence officials suggests alien life may be observing Earth, saying skeptics are increasingly the ones sounding like "conspiracy theorists."
"My opinion changes when the information changes," Maher said Friday on "Real Time."
"Yes, there was a time when the only actual contact we heard about aliens was from rural people who had been abducted and anally probed," he quipped.
"But you don't hear about that anymore. Why? My guess is the aliens gathered all the information they needed about us… [and] now they seem to be in a different phase, they seem to want to be spotted.
Why else for this constant ‘playing peek-a-boo’ with our military? And it's serious people [saying this] now."

Maher pointed to reports from military pilots and government officials who have described encountering unidentified objects exhibiting capabilities far beyond known technology.
"They keep seeing things move through air and ocean in ways that defy our physics. Military pilots who say, ‘Yeah, I saw something doing Mach 10, and then it stopped on a dime and disappeared,’" he said.
"That's not a drone. That's not something from another country. Even Elon is like, 'Not me.""
Maher also cited a growing number of lawmakers and officials who have acknowledged the unexplained phenomena, noting that the issue has moved well beyond fringe speculation.
"It’s not weirdos and beardos saying this," he said. "It’s guys with buzz cuts and security clearances who are spilling the tea, and politicians who you don't think are crazy people…"
He pointed to bipartisan interest in unidentified aerial phenomena, including past comments and actions from figures such as former Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, as well as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who helped push for government investigations and transparency into the issue.
Maher also referenced high-profile remarks from former President Barack Obama, who appeared to acknowledge the existence of extraterrestrials, but later clarified his remarks on social media.
He wrote, "Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there's life out there.
But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we've been visited by aliens is low, and I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really!"
"They're real, but I haven't seen them," Obama said initially during an interview with US podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen.
"And they’re not being kept in… Area 51. There’s no underground facility unless there’s this enormous conspiracy, and they hid it from the President of the United States."
Maher noted that Congress has already held historic hearings on unidentified aerial phenomena, noting how seriously the government is now treating sightings it still cannot explain.
"The government's official public line is, 'We don't know what these things are.'" he said, quipping, "But in private, what they say is, 'No, seriously, we don't know what these things are, but they didn't leak from a lab in China."

Director of National Intelligence UFO Inquiry Rocked by Claims of Whistleblower Smears and Intimidation

An alleged Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) investigation overseen by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) has come under scrutiny over claims of whistleblower intimidation, false allegations and efforts to discredit those who came forward.
The effort was led by the Director’s Initiatives Group, a task force established last year by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to restore trust and end what she described as government weaponization within the Intelligence Community.
In February this year, the task force was wound down, and its members were reassigned. Two sources told Reuters the move followed alleged missteps.
Multiple sources who have spoken to Liberation Times claim that its UAP investigation was compromised by elements linked to the CIA, with the alleged aim of discouraging Congress from pursuing further UAP hearings and legislation, and deterring additional whistleblowers from coming forward publicly.
The explosive allegations first surfaced on the WEAPONIZED podcast, where investigative journalists Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp interviewed UAP whistleblower Matthew Brown, the former Department of War official who authored a report alleging the existence of an Unacknowledged Special Access Program tasked with tracking advanced craft of suspected human and non-human origin.
According to claims aired on the podcast, Brown and other whistleblowers, including former U.S. Air Force geospatial intelligence specialist Dylan Borland, were targeted in an apparent smear campaign involving false and damaging allegations said to have emerged from a private SCIF, a secure facility used for discussions involving highly classified information.
On the podcast, Corbell, who had a contact within ODNI, said the following to Matthew Brown:
“One individual from ODNI told me that, in the SCIF, Matthew Brown is a racist, Jew hater. I believe those were the exact words.
“The other thing that was told to me was that Matthew Brown admitted to completely making up and fabricating that he saw an Immaculate Constellation document, and that he admitted to me that Matthew Brown made that up. He came up with the name, that he made it up.
“And the third big lie that was told to me, if I recall, was that, I think the third point of the brush that they painted with was that the words counter espionage and treason, I believe it was treason, or a word like that.
“Okay, that’s what was said to me by an official in ODNI, who told me, gossiping, spilling the tea, about what you said in a private SCIF meeting where you were supposed to go in to be protected as a whistleblower.”
Brown denied all the allegations. Meanwhile, it is unknown whether the comments expressed to Corbell indicate any official conclusions made by the Director’s Initiatives Group in any public document or forum.
Asked about the allegations of wrongdoing, an ODNI official said the agency ‘has been and continues to be focused on carrying out the objectives of President Trump’s executive orders and mandates, including assisting with any relevant information related to UAPs.’
The official added that information discussed in a SCIF is not automatically classified, that unclassified information can be discussed there, and that the use of a SCIF does not mean whistleblower protections are provided.
Brown said he became aware of the Director’s Initiatives Group after last year’s UAP hearing, when the person leading the effort reached out to him. According to Brown, the individual, whose name has not been disclosed, said: “We know UAP are real. We want to get to the bottom of it. Come in, meet with us and tell us your story.”

When approached by Liberation Times for further comment, Corbell said he had nothing to add beyond his remarks in the podcast episode.
Brown said he went to Liberty Crossing Intelligence Campus in Virginia, expecting to be briefed on what he understood to be a UAP whistleblower protection program, which he would consider joining.
During the meeting, Brown said he was asked whether he wished to become an Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) whistleblower. Brown said he declined, citing Dylan Borland's warning that the ICIG whistleblower process was a trap.
Borland said in last year’s Congressional UAP hearing that, during his own ICIG interview, it became clear to him that officials were there “to assess just how much I know, not to move forward with an investigation based on new information.”
Brown said that during his meeting with the Director’s Initiatives Group, he chose to reveal as little as possible about his broader UAP knowledge while probing its members’ seriousness.
Brown, who has held top secret sensitive compartmented information clearance and worked within the Department of War, including within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security and, most recently, the State Department, said he tested whether the group was acting in good faith by raising concerns connected to Israel and the 7 October attack.
His view was that if they were unwilling to examine alleged wrongdoing involving a close US ally, they could not be trusted with what he believed were the country’s most sensitive UAP secrets.
According to Brown, the group did not appear focused on the substance of what he was saying.
Instead, he felt they were more interested in learning which classified compartments and sub-compartments he had accessed.
This left him with the impression that they wanted to work out how he knew what he knew and stop similar disclosures from happening again.
Brown believes this led to him being wrongly labelled antisemitic as part of an effort to discredit his claims.
He said he did not share with the group the conclusions he had drawn from 7 October.
Instead, he told them only that his background and access had given him a rare vantage point on the events, and that what he had seen had affected him deeply.
Brown argued that this made the allegation especially misleading. He said his private reaction was, if anything, more sympathetic to Israel and not hostile to Jewish people.
As a result, Brown said he came away doubting that the ODNI effort reflected a genuine attempt to protect whistleblowers or examine their claims fairly.
Sources who spoke to Liberation Times said some members of the Director’s Initiatives Group appeared to be examining the UAP issue in good faith, and said there was no indication that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard was involved in any effort to intimidate whistleblowers or smear witnesses.
