Bank of America has reached a $72.5 million settlement in a lawsuit that alleges the financial giant helped facilitate the sex trafficking operation of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to court documents.

The US “worked directly with Al-Qaeda” and Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) to topple former President Bashar Assad and destroy Syria, US President Donald Trump’s former counterterrorism chief, Joe Kent, has said.

Kent, who resigned as head of the US National Counterterrorism Center in protest of the US-Israeli war against Iran, made the remarks in an interview with MintPress News on Friday.

The former senior official reiterated his take on the Iran conflict as the latest in a series of wars waged by the US on behalf of Israel, preceded by the Second Iraq War and the Syrian Civil War, in which Washington actively backed terrorist groups, he said.

“We came in and we said: We’re going to work with the Israelis, but we’re also going to have to work heavily with the Sunni population on the ground in Syria to create an uprising,” he added.

“And that’s where ISIS came from. We worked directly with Al-Qaeda; Hillary Clinton’s emails confirm this. The operations that we were doing to support the so-called Free Syrian Army, and there were some moderates there, but the most effective guys initially were Al-Qaeda and then eventually ISIS.”

IS ultimately “got out of control,” and the US “had to go back and put out once again the brush fire that we had started,” Kent said, referring to the US occupation of parts of Syria on the pretext of fighting terrorism.

The efforts to destroy Syria ultimately resulted in the fall of the Assad government in late 2024 and the Islamist takeover led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a rebranded Al-Qaeda offshoot.

Kent lashed out at the former leader of the HTS and Syrian interim president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, pointing to his long record of terrorism – which did not prevent the Trump administration from recognizing his government as legitimate.

“We had him in jail; [he] joined ISIS, broke off from ISIS, hand-selected by Bin Laden’s right-hand man, Ayman Zawahiri, to lead Nusra, and then they rebranded,” Kent said, adding that the “number one way to fool Americans as a jihadist is just put on a suit.”

Six months into the “greatest first 6 months of a Presidency in American history”, hundreds of millions of regular Americans who are still recovering from the previous five years of draconian COVID measures and the cartoonishly Bolshevik Biden administration, now find themselves looking around, asking “according to whom?”

“Six months to blow the cred.”

What has the Trump DOJ done to earn such lofty praise?

Have they sought justice or prosecuted anyone for COVID?

No.

Have they remunerated small businesses and families who were financially crushed due to the catastrophic socioeconomic consequences of the “15 days to slow the spread” and “essential businesses/workers” bullshit?

No.

Have they “released the files” on JFK or Jeffrey Epstein?

No.

Have they done anything to combat the global child sex trafficking and pedophilia blackmail albatrosses hanging around America’s geopolitical and intelligence necks?

No.

Have they done anything to curb the bribery, election fraud and other means of illegal foreign influence exerted over our politicians to serve the best interests of foreign nations and to the detriment of the American people?

No.

Have they cut foreign spending and begun investing American tax dollars into checks notes America and supporting the American people who elected them?

“Ali and Fatima were very powerful voices from the south, very well-known and very well-loved across all of Lebanon,” according to Sweeney’s emotional account.

Why Is The Trump DOJ Still Enforcing The Biden Pistol Brace Rule?

End the DOJ’s rogue pistol brace crackdown

A federal court vacated the Biden pistol brace ban. President Trump campaigned on ending it. Bondi’s DOJ is still enforcing it anyway.

On March 16th, 2026, the Department of Justice dropped a bombshell in our ongoing lawsuit, Texas et al. v. ATF:

The ATF “continue[s] to enforce the NFA’s and the GCA’s regulation of short-barreled rifles against some brace-equipped pistols, even though the Rule has been universally vacated.”

Translation: DOJ lawyers are defying a federal court and making a mockery of President Trump’s campaign promises to gun owners.

This matters because ATF has refused to issue classification letters telling owners which pistol braces are legal, unless it’s in a criminal case. That means every single gun owner with a pistol brace is a potential target for felony charges.

President Trump promised twice on the campaign trail to end the pistol brace ban on day one. He said it in Indianapolis in 2023. He said it again in Harrisburg in 2024. His own DOJ is now proving those promises were never kept.

Send your pre-written letter to Congress NOW and demand they hold the DOJ accountable.

GOA has gone directly to senior DOJ officials. We’ve raised your concerns. We’ve received no indication that the ATF plans to reverse course.

She further urged, “Children’s online safety is vital but requires better parental controls and thoughtful tech responsibility – not sweeping, draconian, shock demands by foreign companies for all of our IDs and credit cards.”

Maersk Slaps Emergency Fuel Surcharge As War Upends Marine Supply Chains

The war in the Middle East has upended shipping fuel markets with prices of marine fuels skyrocketing and regions running low on supply, pushing some traders to forgo cargo and ship additional fuel volumes to key bunkering ports outside the Middle East.

The price of fuel oil has surged this month as the stalled tanker traffic at the Strait of Hormuz is tightening supplies of the fuel in Asia, the key bunkering hub for fuel oil used in ships.

The Middle East is a major global supplier of fuel oil, especially of high-sulfur fuel oil (HSFO). But the Iran war has all but halted traffic via the Strait of Hormuz, stranding supplies for Asia and its key bunkering hub of Singapore.

Yet, stocks in Singapore have increased this month as shipping owners and operators have refrained from buying the too expensive fuel. These, however, could soon start to deplete, fast, because vessels are becoming desperate to refuel, according to a Financial Times analysis.

One trader told the publication that their firm had to forgo cargo in order to deliver additional fuel volumes between major ports, mostly between the United States and Singapore.

With the Middle East's key bunkering port of Fujairah mostly offline by the end of March due to Iranian attacks earlier this month, the marine fuel market is in chaos.

Shipping giant Maersk warned in its latest Middle East advisory this week that "To preserve network stability, we have undertaken significant redistribution of fuels to offset shortages in the Middle East, and are securing alternative sources from different locations, suppliers, and at increased premiums."

Maersk also introduced as of March 25 an Emergency Bunker Surcharge (EBS), "in response to notable fluctuations in fuel supply and the additional costs of distribution."

Maersk's chief commercial officer Karsten Kildahl said earlier this month that "There is currently sufficient fuel globally, but it is unevenly distributed. As a result, we are making changes to our fuel supply chain and begin moving fuel to ensure our vessels can continue to bunker where needed – and protect the flow of trade."

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A federal judge has dismissed the criminal case against two former Louisville Metro Police officers in the Breonna Taylor case.

Former detective Joshua Jaynes and former Sgt. Kyle Meany were accused of providing and lying about false information in a search warrant used by police to burst into Taylor's house, resulting in her death.

Both were indicted by the DOJ's prosecutors working under then-President Joe Biden's administration. The case was tied up in the federal court system for several years, stretching into President Donald Trump's term.

U.S. District Judge Charles Simpson issued a one-page ruling Friday throwing out charges against Jaynes and Meany.

The U.S. Department of Justice made a motion last week for a federal judge to dismiss the criminal case, with prejudice, against Jaynes and Meany "in the interest of justice."

In a statement Friday, March 20, U.S. attorney Kyle Bumgarner said the U.S. State Attorney's office for the Western District of Kentucky and all of its employees "have been recused from all investigations and decisions concerning Breonna Taylor."

"Since the inception of the investigation in 2020, all prosecutorial decisions have been made by Main Justice without consultation with my office," Bumgarner said.

Taylor's mother, Tamika Palmer, shared her disappointment in the DOJ's move in a post on social media.

"I am compelled to express my extreme disappointment in Trump and the Department of Justice. Their phone call today informing me that charges against the police are being dropped while implying they have helped me is utterly disrespectful," Palmer wrote. "This is the first time I've heard from them since they took over and it's clear they have not served me or Breonna well. Their behavior is deplorable. F*** Trump and his DOJ administration."

This comes months after a federal judge dismissed the most serious felony charges — carrying a maximum sentence of life in prison — against the two former officers.

While saying he was "seriously troubled" by their alleged actions, U.S. District Court Judge Charles Simpson ruled the officers shouldn't be charged with depriving Taylor's rights under color of law and causing her death.

Prosecutors sought to "severely punish" Jaynes and Meany, believing police never should been at Taylor's door and, without the false warrant, she would still be alive, the judge wrote.

But Jaynes and Meany weren't at the raid and "the government cannot attribute Taylor's death to the lack of a warrant supported by probable cause," Simpson said in the ruling.

Taylor was killed when her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, fired a shot after police burst in early in the morning as part of a series of searches revolving around a drug dealer who once dated Taylor. Walker said he thought the couple were being robbed. Police fired 32 shots in response, killing Taylor.

Simpson ruled officers returning fire was a legal act, "thus, this is not a case of excessive force. Nor is it a case of police brutality. … This is a case of legal, lethal and tragic crossfire that was not initiated by the police."

Audits Spotlight Unusual Trends In Medicaid Spending For Autism Care

One in 31 U.S. children has an autism diagnosis. Among Minnesota’s Somali community, that number jumps to one in 12.

That discrepancy made headlines last fall when the Department of Justice charged a Somali woman with netting millions in fraudulent autism services.

Now, state and federal investigators are putting autism spending in the spotlight.

The September 2025 federal indictment alleged that a therapy center—run by 28-year-old Asha Farhan Hassan—recruited Somali children for an autism services program that was then reimbursed by Medicaid.

The White House pointed to the indictment on March 16 in an executive order announcing the creation of a federal task force to eliminate fraud.

“The staggering fraud and waste in Minnesota alone is a case in point,” the order reads.

“There is also strong reason to believe that similar problems exist in other States, including California, Illinois, New York, Maine, and Colorado.”

Nationwide, Medicaid spending for autism therapy services increased by over 200 percent between 2018 and 2024—nearly four times the rate of overall Medicaid spending. In some states, the increase was much higher.

The surge is linked to what Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has called an autism epidemic, including “an alarming escalation in case severity, and increasingly stark disparities across racial and ethnic groups.”

However, investigators say the rise in spending can’t be explained by the increase in diagnoses or escalation in severity alone.

Meanwhile, a series of federal audits has drawn attention to four states where auditors found millions in “improper” or incorrectly billed payments for Medicaid-funded autism services.

Here is a look at states that have uncovered higher-than-usual Medicaid spending for autism services.

Minnesota

Since 2018, Minnesota has spent more than $18 billion on 14 Medicaid programs considered “high risk” for fraud, Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson said in December.

More than $9 billion of that money went to fraud, Thompson estimated, announcing another autism related indictment.

The state’s Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention program, which treats children under 21 with autism spectrum disorder, is under particular scrutiny.

It’s the coverage framework for services like applied behavior analysis, a major part of the program.

30-Year Police Veteran One Of Three Witnesses To Report Bigfoot Sighting Near Myrtle Beach

It's been fairly quiet on the Bigfoot front after the eight "high-credibility" reports over a five-day period earlier this month in Ohio.

The last we heard about the Ohio Bigfoot flap was that there were boots on the ground in the area conducting an investigation into the sightings.

I'm sure we'll hear a full detailed report once that investigation has been concluded. There was a meteor that hit the area on top of everything else.

One would hope a thorough investigation involves what, if anything, these Bigfoot may have known before the meteor arrived. But there are other sightings to not lose track of.

One of them, which showed up on The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization's website recently, actually happened back in January near Myrtle Beach. There were three witnesses on two separate occasions.

One of the witnesses, described by BFRO Investigator Bill Hanna as the "primary witness," is a 30-year police veteran.

"In the early afternoon on January 16, 2026, I was traveling west with a friend on SC 341 (Lake City Highway), going from Johnsonville, SC to Lake City, SC." the report states.

Another Bigfoot Sighting Hits the Radar, This One Comes With a Credible Witness

"As we approached the first of two bridges over Lynches River, my friend exclaimed, ‘Did you see that?!’ I turned my head to see what she had seen. My friend saw it better, but it was a bipedal being with black hair, quickly crossing the road, left to right, as we passed."

They estimate the presumed Bigfoot to be about six feet tall, and it crossed the road in only three or four steps before going down "a sharp embankment into a swampy pine forest thicket."

The speed at which it crossed the road and disappeared surprised them. Obviously, they weren’t able to snap a picture of the creature.

A couple of days later, on that same road, traveling in the same direction, another friend of the reporting witness "saw a being standing by the road, similar to the being I witnessed."

It was the same height as what they had seen just two days earlier. However, the "back-haired bipedal being" was just standing beside the road this time before making its exit.

Both of the sightings occurred on clear days, the first in the early afternoon and the second in the late morning.

"Though both sightings were quick observances, the witnesses were quite specific in what they observed. The primary witness is a 30-year police veteran, trained to make such observations in a short period," Investigator Hanna noted.

"She was sure of what she observed and described it in detail. The witness impressed me as being quite credible."

He also concluded that the area was a suitable one for a Bigfoot habitat. A Bigfoot just 35 miles or so from Myrtle Beach, perhaps they prefer to vacation at the beach during the offseason.

Zelensky Visits UAE, Qatar for Air Security Talks With Gulf

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday that his country and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to cooperate on defence amid Iran’s drone strikes across the Gulf, before heading to regional neighbour Qatar.

Zelensky has embarked on the previously unannounced tour across the Gulf, visiting Saudi Arabia earlier this week, as the region faces Iranian drones launched by Tehran in retaliation for US-Israeli strikes.

Kyiv has sought to leverage its expertise in downing Russian drones to help Gulf nations and has deployed anti-drone experts to Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar.

After talks in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, where Zelensky announced a defence agreement with Riyadh, he held talks in the UAE with Emirati President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

“We agreed to cooperate in the field of security and defence. Our teams will finalise the details,” Zelensky said on social media.

“For all normal states, it is important to ensure stability and protect lives amid today’s threats. Ukraine has relevant expertise in this area,” he said.

Also Saturday, Zelensky said on social media he had “arrived in Qatar. Real security is built on partnership — we value everyone and remain open to supporting all those who are ready to work together for this goal.”

The visit was confirmed by the Gulf nation’s state news agency.

Ukraine touts its anti-drone defences as the best in the world.

It has proposed swapping its interceptors for vastly more expensive air-defence missiles that Gulf countries are using to down Iranian drones. Kyiv says it needs more of them to fend off near-daily Russian missile attacks.

“Protection must be sufficient everywhere. That is why we are open to joint work that, in a strategic perspective, will certainly strengthen our peoples and the protection of life in our countries,” Zelensky said on Saturday.

In the UAE, Zelensky met with Ukrainian anti-drone experts, who “have been working here to help in protecting lives”.

“Today, Ukraine not only needs assistance but is also ready to support those who support us,” Zelensky said.

Many government officials already perceive the horrific implications of Europe’s nation states losing their self-belief and descending into polar factionalism, with the continued existence of Europe or its constituent parts in question, but understand that speaking of it openly remains career suicide, a conference at the European Parliament has heard.

It is “a possibility that is quite close” that the British people will pass into history “like the Canaanites or the Arcadians”, and it is an open question whether there will be a Europe in 50 years’ time, a European Parliament conference heard from a panel of expert speakers.

Hosted by French populist-right firebrand Marion Maréchal — the granddaughter of National Front founder Jean-Marie Le Pen — and Sweden Democrats Member of the European Parliament Charlie Weimers, the Civil War: Europe at Risk? conference launched a new report on the now-widespread phenomenon of “no-go zones” and platformed thinkers on political instability. Marechal opened the conference by reflecting that formerly peaceful and stable societies are “rapidly transforming before our eyes into societies of violence and mistrust”, stating that “the main basis of trust between citizens is cultural homogeneity”, which is now fast eroding.

Europe is already under a great strain of “diffuse guerrilla activity”, she said, which takes various forms, including “riots, looting, random attacks, anti-white racism, and terrorist attacks”. These remarks were echoed by conference co-host Weimers, who noted the impact of mass migration on cultural cohesion. The Swedish populist-right politician reflected: “Western democracies that were once relatively homogenous societies have become deeply fragmented. Newcomers often share little in common with the indigenous population. More alarmingly, many have no intention of assimilating.”

Both politicians said they were driven to hold the conference by the hope of finding political answers to these problems and to prevent “the horror of civil war” from occurring at all.

Anglo-Canadian academic Professor David Betz of King’s College London, who has rapidly gained prominence in European security discourse over his whistle-blowing on the eroding of British and European democracy, society, and social cohesion, was blunt in his remarks, telling the European Parliament meeting that: “Europe is on track for civil war”.

Observing that while “it took a long time to break the foundations of Western self-belief, prosperity, and competency”, the job was now done and although a society like the United Kingdom is not quite at the point of total breakdown, nevertheless it is experiencing polar factionalism, which has led to outbursts of violence and leaves the country vulnerable to a sudden downward spiral towards chaos. Professor Betz said:

…we are on a track for a peasant revolt. A conservative uprising in which the ruled seek to punish their rulers for violating their obligations under the social contract, and for changing the rules of the game against their wishes. It will look something like Italy’s Years of Lead, the ‘dirty wars’ of Latin America, or maybe The Troubles of Northern Ireland, but on a larger scale.

What is already a guarded society will become a radically more heavily fortified society as elites seek more protection with more walls, guards, and surveillance. It will be bloody… the Balkanisation of British life along ethnic lines [is underway]. What I call assortative movement is already occurring, quite obviously in some places like Tower Hamlets in London, Sparkhill in Birmingham which are already ethnic enclaves, zones of negotiated policing with parallel legal systems, alternative economies, and… zones of endemic and large-scale out-group sexual predation… this ought to be more generally frightening.

In government there are plenty of people who understand fully the gravity of the situation, although it is, career-wise, terminal to speak of it openly.

IDF soldiers detained a CNN crew covering settler violence for at least two hours. One photographer was injured, and his camera was damaged.

The IDF detained a group of CNN journalists in the West Bank on Friday, damaging their cameras and injuring one photographer, the US news outlet reported.

The CNN team was interviewing Palestinian residents of the West Bank town of Tayasir after settlers established an outpost in the town and violently attacked residents.

While conducting interviews on camera, IDF soldiers ordered the team and the Palestinians to stop speaking and aimed their weapons at the group, according to the CNN reporters present.

One soldier then reportedly approached CNN photojournalist Cyril Theophilos from behind and put him in a chokehold, bringing him down to the ground, and damaging his camera in the process.

CNN reported that the crew's detention lasted two hours. Their Palestinian interview subjects were detained alongside them.

Iran Hits U.S. Landing, Support Vessels In Kuwait And Near Oman

Iran Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced late on March 27 that it had struck several American landing craft utility (LCU) vessels in Kuwait.

In a statement ,the guards said that the strikes were a part of the “84th wave of Operation True Promise 4,” which targeted “U.S. and Israeli terrorists” deployed in the port of Shuwaikh in Kuwait, as well as in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

It added that a total of six American LCUs were targeted at Shuwaikh using Qadr 380 anti-ship cruise missiles — which have a range of up to 1,000 kilometers — and other weapons.

“Given field reports, three of the combat vessels sank after the strikes, whilst the rest are aflame,” the IRGC further noted.

Kuwait Ports Authority confirmed later that Shuwaikh was struck by several “hostile drones”. In a statement posted to the X social network, the authority said that facilities in the port sustained damage. It noted, however, that there were no casualties.

Shuwaikh Port is one of Kuwait’s core comprehensive commercial ports, but the U.S. maintains a military presence there, including six Runnymede-class large landing vessels.

This class of vessels, also known as the LCU 2000, have a displacement of over 1,087 tons when fully loaded. They can transport rolling and tracked vehicles — including main battle tanks —, containers, and outsized and general cargo from ships offshore to shore, as well as to areas that cannot be reached by oceangoing vessels. They are operated by the U.S. Army, not the Navy.

A day after the attack on Shuwaikh, a spokesperson for the Iranian Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters announced that a U.S. military support vessel operating at a significant distance from the port of Salalah in Oman.

“A logistics vessel supporting the aggressive U.S. army was targeted by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran at a considerable distance from the port of Salalah in Oman,” the spokesman, Brig. Gen. Ebrahim Zolfaghari, said in a statement carried by state TV.

Oman’s official news agency announced around the same time that two drones hit Salalah, injuring the worker and causing “limited” damage to a crane.

Iran Threatens To Strike Syrian Presidential Palace, Damascus Hotels

Iran has threatened to target the People’s Palace in the Syrian capital, Damascus, as well as two luxury hotels located nearby, as part of its campaign against United States interests in the region.

Fars News Agency on March 26 reported that “Israeli, American and British advisors and experts” were present at the People’s Palace, the residence of Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, in addition to the Four Seasons Hotel and the Sheraton Damascus Hotel.

The Iranian semi-official said that Iran had issued an ultimatum to hotel owners throughout the Middle East and the wider region, warning them not to accommodate foreign military personnel, adding that they would be “considered legitimate military targets” if they did not comply.

On Wednesday, Norman Fenton, Professor Emeritus at Queen Mary University of London, published an article describing how he lost control of his Twitter (now X) account to a hacker on 18 March but has now regained limited control.

“After sending a spam ‘vote for me’ direct message (with a malicious link) to all my mutual followers on 20 March, the attackers began posting spam publicly. Not sporadically, but continuously: the bot was posting roughly once per second, pausing only intermittently to repost content from accounts I follow. By the time I regained access, there were thousands of spam posts and reposts,” he said. “For now, anyone visiting my timeline will see little but pages of spam.”

Prof. Fenton ended his article by saying, “Regaining access to my account ultimately required persistence, external pressure, and, quite likely, legal escalation. Many users facing similar attacks will not have those options.

“If X cannot reliably protect accounts, respond promptly to verified compromise reports, and restore control without unnecessary barriers, then users are left dangerously exposed.

“What’s clear right now is that when things go wrong, you will be largely on your own.”

Anti-war demonstrations are taking place on Saturday in dozens of locations across the country, some of which have been violently dispersed by police, with nine arrested.

For the first time since the outbreak of the war with Iran and Lebanon, anti-judicial overhaul demonstrations gathered alongside anti-war protesters with the support of the "Peace Partnership" coalition of dozens of anti-occupation groups.

At the main protest in Habima Square in Tel Aviv, police began forcefully dispersing demonstrators, claiming that they were violating Home Front Command guidelines. About a thousand people had gathered at the scene.

Deputy commander of the central Tel Aviv police station, Lt. Col. Avi Ofer, called on his police officers to "start making arrests." In response, protesters chanted: "The police are criminals."

Police threw one of the demonstrators to the ground and confiscated signs.

The demonstration in Tel Aviv was organized by the "Peace Partnership" coalition, which brings together dozens of civil society and human rights organizations, and is being held for the first time with the participation of anti-government protest groups.

About a hundred protesters stood on the periphery of the square and held pictures of children who have been killed since the war began in Iran, Lebanon, Israel, Gaza and the West Bank. Protesters chanted, "In Tehran and the Kiryat Shmona, girls want to live. In Gaza, in Eshkol, children want to grow up," as well as, "We don't want more wars, the peoples want to live," and "No to a Kahanist government. No to a government of fascists."

"We are being bombed with zero warning and the coalition is busy taking more power for itself," the organizers said.

Bar Yanov, a resident of She'ar Yashuv, said: "The north is once again being abandoned and the leadership is only busy transferring money to the ultra-Orthodox and preserving the coalition."

Protest organizers stated, "The north and all of Israel are once again being abandoned to danger by a failed government. We are being bombed with zero warning and the coalition is busy taking more power for itself."

Northern Israel – especially communities along the Lebanese border – has come under sustained missile and rocket attacks in recent weeks from Iran and Hezbollah, resulting in multiple fatalities, numerous injuries, and significant damage to homes and infrastructure.

‘UFO and alien’ conspiracy theorists yet again got ‘active’, after a rather confusing video began to float around on social media.

The clip was shared by a woman who was left stunned after allegedly spotting “two moons” in the night sky from her roof.

As per what was seen in the clip, her claim did sound correct, as the clip showed a brightly shining moon right next to ‘another moon’ that was slightly less bright.

To squash any possible speculations, the woman also clarified that it was not a result of some flare. She further stated in her caption that the video was “not AI-generated”.

Naturally, the clip went viral, leaving many reacting. Some speculated that it was some kind of “rare natural phenomenon", while others were quick to bring in their rather interesting “UFO and alien-related” theories.

This is not the first time that something like this was caught in the camera; a while back, a video of “seven suns” in the Chinese sky had gone viral. Reportedly, that was due to an atmospheric optical phenomena, called “sun dog”.

Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post.

A 15-year-old Texas boy sold his champion pig for a record $505,000 at the Houston Livestock Show and gets to keep about 10%. Wyoming FFA's Stacy Broda says although the money is always fun, raising livestock is more about teaching responsibility.

It’s an everyman story: How a 15-year-old boy from Oglesby, Texas, sold off his 8-month-old pig, Eddie to area businesses at the 2026 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo last weekend.

At least that’s how Chyla Mabry, mother of the 15-year-old, Landry, sees it.

On March 20, Landry Mabry’s Grand Champion Junior Market Barrow pig sold for $505,000 at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, beating last year’s record of $501,000. His was the top pig of 2,200 pigs in the show.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is the largest livestock show in the world.This year’s junior auction sales brought in a staggering $35,217,099 — money that largely goes toward agricultural education and scholarships. Major livestock shows and auctions are seeing a consistent trend of record-breaking sales prices,with elite champion animals like Eddie selling for massive sums.

Mabry himself will keep less than 10% of his winnings. The rest will go toward funding FFA and 4-H scholarships for youth agriculture education and support the continued work of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

“I will apply for a scholarship in the future,”Mabry said.

More Than The Money

Stacy Broda is the state FFA advisor for Wyoming. She told Cowboy State Daily that, while no one in Wyoming is selling livestock for that kind of money, Wyoming’s FFA and 4H members do well at the state’s county fairs and the National Western Stock Show in Denver.

“Most of our county fair sales are bringing (4H and FFA) members more than market price,” Broda said.

But raising and showing livestock is about far more than money, she said. While there is a financial aspect to learn, understanding what goes into purchasing an animal, buying feed and calculating travel expenses — raising and showing livestock is also about teaching youth long-term life skills.

“For most of our students, (raising livestock) is considered their summer job,” Broda said. “(They learn) to take care of their animals and work with animals on daily basis. It’s a commitment. It teaches them responsibility.”

Mabry spoke to that commitment.

“It’s (work) every single day,” he said. “You can’t skip feedings.”

With the responsibility comes a practice of selflessness. Broda said the youth who raise the animals quickly learn that the animals often need to be fed before they themselves can eat.

“We’re raising animals, but we’re also raising kids to be contributing members of communities in Wyoming,” she said.

Early Start

Mabry has been raising and showing pigs since he was young — “probably (age) 5,” he said.

His dad raised show pigs during his childhood.

“One day he just asked me, ‘Do you want to start showing pigs?’” Mabry said. “I said, sure, I would try it.”

So began his journey of learning how care for pigs and show them.

“It definitely is not one person,” Mabry said. “It takes a family to do it.”

Having people to turn to for second opinions, such as how much feed to give the animal, was one key to his success, he added.

Showman’s Secrets

Mabry said his family’s motto for raising and showing livestock is, “Control what you can control.”

He has learned how to make his pigs catch show judges’ attentionparticularly with their skin and hair.

The Mabrys purchased what would become the record-setting pig from a show pig operation in Seminole, Texas. The pig was about 8 weeks old.Mabry named the pig Eddie, because “he reminded us of Cousin Eddie in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” Mabry said.

As he was raising Eddie,Mabry brushed the pig every day with a hard brush to remove dead skin. Then, he moisturized the skin with what he called “sheen.”

“It’s almost like putting lotion on your skin,” he said.

He washed Eddie about three times a weekwith a hose, using regular soap, shampoo and conditioner.

The cleaning ritual helpsmake his pig look healthy, he said.

“Presentation is a big part of (showing),” he said, and a healthy pig “catches the judge’s eye.”

The Win

Mabry described his big win like being at the top of a rollercoaster.

“Time stops,” he said. “Everything’s just silent. Everything’s out of body. It’s a really weird feeling.”

He continued: “It’s a rush of adrenaline.And then all of a sudden, it’s over. It’s a sense of relief, almost.”

Bill Maher argued that a growing number of credible sightings by military personnel and intelligence officials suggests alien life may be observing Earth, saying skeptics are increasingly the ones sounding like "conspiracy theorists."

He pointed to bipartisan interest in unidentified aerial phenomena, including past comments and actions from figures such as former Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. In a letter to members, he said he was stepping down “effective immediately” and also ending his membership in the community.

The resignation follows nearly a year of internal tensions. The 82nd is just a light infantry battalion. The idea that we’re going to parachute the 82nd for a ground invasion is absurd. We didn’t even do that at the height of the invasion of Iraq in 2003, when a good part of the entire U.S. Army was poised to strike Saddam. (And the 82nd made a near-identical movement in January 2020 after the assassination of Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani.)

The 82nd has a quick reaction brigade to serve exactly as a “ready unit” to quickly deploy anywhere in the world, but CENTCOM sources tell me that with the majority of the brigade is in training in Louisiana and the battalion ‘on its way’ is going to perform a force protection role in the interim, waiting for you know who to decide to do something stupid.

Then there’s the “increase” in U.S. forces constantly being referred to, as if ground troops are building up in the Gulf or more and more aircraft are constantly flowing. But the truth is that almost all of what has augmented the forward deployed forces are maintenance, ordnance, and logistics to sustain a bombing campaign that started as a quick strike and is now extended to a weeks-long campaign for who knows how long.

That augmentation, if you believe the news media, includes a “Third Aircraft Carrier” on its way. “Third US aircraft carrier heads to region as Trump signals long war with Iran and demand for surrender,” YNet news reports.

There is a third carrier that is potentially ready, the USS George H.W. Bush, which could go to the Gulf, especially to relieve the exhausted USS Abraham Lincoln, which is well overdue for rotation, but it is sitting in Virginia, with a liberal leave policy over Easter Week.

And even a second carrier? The USS Gerald Ford — the carrier that’s been bombing Iran from the Mediterranean Sea, has been in port at Souda Bay on Crete in Greece this week, not for combat operations but because it suffered a significant non-combat fire that originated in the ship’s laundry spaces. The blaze rendered more than 100 berthing spaces unusable and displaced several hundred sailors. The Ford isn’t projecting power toward Iran; it’s getting its laundry room repaired.

If you squint, an invasion seems inevitable. But look closer at the actual state of each force being cited, and a very different picture emerges. How is it possible, for instance, that every news organization from the New York Times on down, can report three ships leaving Japan with the Tripoli group when there were only two? Secrecy. Sloppiness. Sops.

With Trump in charge, one never knows. But even if there were a ground operation against Kharg Island, it would most likely involve Army Rangers and special operations forces, Green Berets and Navy SEALs — not some conventional ground assault à la Normandy. The idea of the U.S. Marines storming the beaches while the 82nd Airborne drops on parachutes from above is a cable news fever dream.

This frenzy echoes the panic after Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro was arrested in January, when breathless coverage of military movements convinced many that a conventional U.S. intervention was hours away. It wasn’t.

The panic has even reached active-duty service members, several of whom have contacted me worried they were heading into ground combat.

It also reminds me of another media freakout Iran’s mining of the strait of Hormuz, giving the impression that Tehran had mined the entire passage. It later became clear that Iran either hadn’t mined anything at all or had only planted a few as a signal.

Which is what all of this is about, signaling to Iran. From the beginning of the bombing, signaling that the U.S. is serious this time, that the enemy will be given no quarter, etc. Then came the Marine and then the 82nd Airborne, and a third aircraft carrier, and threats of hell and damnation coming from the mouths of Trump and Hegseth.

It’s the White House’s prerogative to scare the shit out of the Iranian government. But does the media need to do that to the public?

After years of regional forever wars, Israel’s chief of staff warns the army is on the brink of collapse

Israel’s Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir issued a stark warning to the country’s cabinet this week: unless urgent measures are taken, the Israeli army is on the brink of collapse.

According to a report by Israel’s Channel 13 on Thursday, Zamir told ministers that he was “raising 10 red flags”, urging the government to move quickly on long-delayed legislation to alleviate the strain on its “exhausted” military.

The army has been overseeing what rights groups and the United Nations have determined is a genocide in Gaza, the de facto annexation of the occupied West Bank and numerous incursions into Lebanon and Syria.

Addressing ministers, Zamir stressed the need for a “conscription law, a reserve duty law, and a law to extend mandatory service”, adding that without these measures, “before long, the [Israeli military] will not be ready for its routine missions and the reserve system will not last”.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has since said that plans will be made to extend mandatory military service. However, this is not the first time the alarm has been raised that the military is straining under the pressure of repeated operations, which have seen it involved in the killings of tens of thousands of civilians across the Middle East.

The first came as early as June 2024, just eight months into the genocidal war on Gaza, when France24 reported on shortfalls in troop numbers, exhaustion and a lack of supplies.

That situation has only worsened since.

So, how large was the army before October 2023, how active has it been and how has the current era of unprecedented regional aggression sapped the military’s reserves? Here is what we know.

How suited is the Israeli army to its country’s forever wars?

Not very.

Launched in 1948, the idea of an Israeli military made up of a relatively small standing army backed by a large reserve corps of mobilised citizenry was the plan from the outset in order to instil a narrative of social cohesion, national identity and shared responsibility within the new country’s populace. Reservists would move between civilian life and military service to achieve this.

Before the war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, Israel’s standing army numbered just 100,000. This was immediately bolstered by calling up 300,000 reservists, pulling Israel’s “citizen soldiers” from their jobs and families to take part in the bombardment and ground invasion of Gaza in response to the Hamas-led assault on southern Israel.

Ultimately, this means that the majority of troops serving are reservists rather than career soldiers.

Where are Israeli troops now?

On March 1, the day after US-Israeli strikes on Iran began, Israel announced the mobilisation of another 100,000 reserve soldiers.

That was in addition to 50,000 reservists currently on duty as a result of the Gaza war.

At the time, military sources said the additional troops would bolster existing positions along the border with Lebanon, its frontier and occupied positions within Syria, as well as in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.

Additionally, Israel’s Home Front Command called up 20,000 reservists, primarily for search and rescue operations, with reinforcements also deployed to the Israeli Air Force, Navy and Intelligence Directorate.

Israel has since deployed “thousands” of those troops to take part in its invasion of southern Lebanon, which it resumed in response to rocket fire from Iranian ally Hezbollah on March 3.

Addressing the same security cabinet meeting as Zamir, Central Command chief Major General Avi Bluth told ministers that government policies in the occupied West Bank were also placing increasing pressure on the military’s already stretched manpower.

According to the report, Bluth told ministers that over the past year, the government has approved the construction of multiple illegal settlements in the Jordan Valley and elsewhere in the West Bank as part of a wider operation characterised by rights groups and more than 20 countries as Israel’s “effective annexation” of the occupied Palestinian territory.

Bluth added: “This is your policy, but it requires security and a full protection package, because the reality on the ground has completely changed – and that requires manpower.”

Are Israeli troops exhausted?

According to many of the army’s own members, particularly reservists, they are.

Speaking to the Ynet News outlet, which is typically supportive of Netanyahu and his ruling Likud party, one reservist told the newspaper in December of his decision not to report for duty.

“We have battles to fight at home,” he said, explaining his decision. “There are guys on the team who were fired from their jobs, others whose families are barely staying afloat, or who have been dragging out their studies for a very long time. This is a problem, a complexity that is hard to describe.”

Resentment of the apparent exemption offered to members of Israel’s ultra-religious Haredim community, whose refusal to enlist for service is often overlooked by politicians, is also growing, Israeli media reports.

Responding to Zamir’s comments to the security cabinet, Israel’s opposition leader, Yair Lapid, took to Twitter to address the government directly.

“The government must stop the cowardice, immediately halt all budgets to the Haredi draft dodgers,” he said of the extensive social benefits many in Israel’s ultra religious community rely upon. “Send the military police after the deserters, draft the Haredim without hesitation,” he said.

“The warning has been given. It’s on your heads. It’s in your hands. You cannot continue to abandon Israel’s security, in wartime, for petty politics.”
