The Hidden Connection of Rockefeller, Homeopathy & Chiropractic
Around 1900, the science world was getting excited about the new “petrochemicals” and the experimentation to create a variety of new compounds from oil including plastic. It was in 1870 that John D. Rockefeller incorporated the Standard Oil Company that would make him almost inconceivably rich and, in many ways, begin the modern age of oil. Soon after the Standard Oil controlled more than 90% of the market. “Competition is a sin,” Rockefeller once said, and he had certainly done his part to stamp that sin out. (source)
Standard Oil’s corporate tactics were brutal, and Rockefeller was himself ruthless. His business was described as an octopus, a grasping monster. (source)
In 1908, modern medicine was established by the Rockefeller’s and dubbed “Allopathy”. The NIH‘s own definition of Allopathic medicine is:
“A system in which medical doctors and other health care professionals treat symptoms and diseases using drugs, radiation, or surgery.”
Prior to 1908, every place of healing in America, Europe and the world, used only ancient traditional natural medicinal cures. Many, if not all, of the very early hospitals in America were of the herbal or “Homeopathic” kind. (sources here, here, here, here, here)
The Hidden Connection of Rockefeller, Homeopathy & Chiropractic
Rockefeller quickly realized a huge opportunity –that synthetic versions of natural curative vitamins and medications could be developed from petroleum he owned. He saw the chance to control and monopolize multiple industries all at once: petroleum, chemical and medical.
Petrochemicals were ideal from a business perspective because they could be patented, owned and sold for high profits. Herbs (well, plant medicine, in general) could not be patented.
And as to the hidden connection mentioned in the title, Rockefeller used chiropractic and homeopathy for himself and his own family all the while using his powerful influence to prosecute many homeopathic physicians for offering their services to others.
Fascinating and very informative. 7 minutes.
Rockefeller ferociously rooted out natural and homeopathic competition in medical hospitals with the same tactics he continued to use in the oil industry. A crony of his, Abraham Flexner, wielding his manipulative 1910 Flexner Report, proceeded to visit and “assess” every single medical school in the US and Canada.
With promises of grants and unheard-of funding and placing his company men on the hospital boards, in a short time, natural-based medical schools all around the US began to collapse or consolidate. Fifteen years later, only 76 schools of
the over 110 medicine schools existed in the US, and they all followed the same allopathic curriculum. Since 1910, corporate interests have established near total control of the medical field, both through pharmacology and through their impact on medical education.
E. Richard Brown’s book Rockefeller Medicine Men: Medicine and Capitalism in America tells the full story of the financial, political, and institutional manipulations whereby a diverse and eclectic range of healing modalities available to the North American public was summarily pared down to a singular (one size-fits-all
style of medicine.”
The first pharmaceutical drug named Salvarsan was made of arsenic compound #606. That’s right, an ARSENIC! Mishandling of the injection could and did result in arsenic poisoning on occasion. Side effects were rashes, liver damage, and “risks of life and limb” (literally). (source)
