Project Blue Beam is a conspiracy theory originating in the 1990s, primarily propagated by Canadian journalist Serge Monast, which alleges that NASA and global elites are planning to stage a fake alien invasion and religious apocalypse to establish a totalitarian New World Order. The theory posits a four-step plan: first, discrediting existing religions through fake archaeological discoveries; second, using advanced holographic technology to project religious figures (such as Jesus, Buddha, or Allah) into the sky; third, employing "electronic telepathy" for mind control; and fourth, staging supernatural manifestations to induce global submission.
Although the theory gained traction in the 1990s, it is widely dismissed by experts as baseless due to a lack of credible evidence and significant technological impracticalities, such as the impossibility of currently projecting convincing global holograms or achieving direct brain communication via satellites. Despite its debunked status, the narrative remains popular in conspiracy circles and has recently seen renewed interest on social media, often linked to unexplained drone sightings in the United States.
