Reviewing the “supposed attempt of Cole to assassinate Trump”, sounds pathetic and truthfully without a real plan. I’ve watched the news all day. Sure there was a lot of fear on the news. But honestly with a guy supposedly so freaking smart, how he planned and scheduled this was stupid.

 

Really if you are going to kill someone why get to town the day before?

 

If he’s never been to DC wouldn’t you come to town at 4-5 days before to scout things out?

 

He doesn’t even plan to get it the ballroom to check that out?

 

Was he thinking he’d bust in the ballroom with 2,000+ in attendance and he walked right up and shoot Trump. If I was planning this it would not be how he did it?

 

Really running by guards were gonna do and he’d automatically get in the ballroom, when there were probably 100-200 Secret Service, and secret sources hired.

Crude oil procured from the United States by Japanese oil distributor Cosmo Oil arrived in Japan on Sunday for the first time since the start of U.S. attacks on Iran in late February.

The tanker carrying 910,000 barrels of U.S. crude oil arrived at its destination, an offshore jetty in Tokyo Bay, in the morning. However, this amount accounts for less than one day's consumption in Japan.

The Japanese government is rushing to increase crude oil procurement from non-Middle Eastern suppliers amid the war in Iran and the blockage of the key Strait of Hormuz waterway.

The tanker departed from a port in Texas at the end of March and arrived in Japan via the Panama Canal.

The crude oil will be transported via an undersea pipeline connected to the jetty to the Chiba refinery of Cosmo Oil, a subsidiary of Cosmo Energy Holdings, where it will be refined into petroleum products such as gasoline and supplied to the market.

Japan, which relies on the Middle East for more than 90% of its crude oil imports, is facing an urgent need to ensure stable supplies amid the deteriorating situation in the Middle East.

Japan plans to increase imports from routes in the Middle East that bypass the Strait of Hormuz, as well as from North America, Central and South America, and Central Asia. Its procurement from the United States is expected to quadruple year on year in May.

Journalist Tracks Dutch Frigate By Mailing It a $5 Bluetooth Tracker

In the recent past, there has been a rise in cases of operational security (OPSEC) flaws affecting active naval vessels. While navies invest heavily to protect the location of their vessels, inexpensive technologies can easily expose movements if not managed. Most recently, this trend has been reported within the NATO strike group supporting the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle in the Mediterranean Sea.

 

Last week, Dutch regional broadcaster Omroep Gelderland reported that one of its journalists was able to locate the country’s warship HNLMS Evertsen, currently deployed as part of the carrier Charles de Gaulle strike group in Eastern Mediterranean. The journalist is said to have mailed a postcard containing a $5 Bluetooth tracker to the air-defense frigate. The experiment was conducted to test vulnerabilities in sea mail rules. In the past one year, the Dutch broadcaster has been carrying out investigations on how the Ministry of Defense is adapting to the rapidly changing technological environment.

 

The Dutch military through its postal organization has made it easy for soldiers deployed overseas to receive mail from their families. The journalist followed instructions published online by the Dutch military in sending the postcard package. While the military has robust security clearance measures including X-ray scans for packages, envelopes are not scanned. This made it possible for the postcard containing the Bluetooth tracker to slip through, eventually reaching Evertsen.

 

The tracker’s route was then mapped starting from an unnamed staging area, a stopover at the Den Helder naval base and arrival at the Eindhoven airport. The package then proceeded to the Port of Heraklion in Crete, where it was delivered to Evertsen.

 

On March 27, the frigate left the port sailing west along the coast of Crete and later set course in an easterly direction. The tracker remained active for 24 hours but went offline when the warship was near the Cyprus coast. In response to this incident, the Dutch Defense Ministry said that the tracker was found during mail sorting after the frigate left port in Crete. The Ministry added that a review of mailing guidelines is underway. Sending of greeting cards containing batteries has also been banned.

 

Around the same time and location, the French newspaper Le Monde was also able to track the country’s aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. The tracking was done using data from the smartphone fitness application Strava, which was being used by a young sailor, either onboard the aircraft carrier or a nearby escort frigate. At the time, the location of the carrier was reported to be 62 miles off the Turkish coast and near Cyprus.

April 25 (Reuters) – French President Emmanuel Macron reiterated on Saturday that he was focused on efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a day after the head of TotalEnergies TTEF.PA warned of global energy shortages if the Iran war continues for months.

 

Macron, speaking at a news conference in Athens alongside Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, said panic caused by geopolitical uncertainty can in itself lead to shortages.

 

“Our goal is to achieve a full reopening in the coming days and weeks, in accordance with international law, guaranteeing freedom of navigation without tolls on the Strait of Hormuz. Then things can gradually return to normal,” Macron said.

 

TotalEnergies TTEF.PA CEO Patrick Pouyanne pressed on Friday for the reopening of the strait, through which about a fifth of the globe’s oil and gas supply normally flows.

 

Movement through the strait, which is also a key transport route for goods including fertilizers and pharmaceuticals, has been choked due to the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran, as Iran has seized container ships and the United States has mounted a blockade on Iranian ports.

 

“If it lasts two, three months more, we are entering in a world of scarcity of energy, which Asian countries have already suffered,” Pouyanne told the World Policy Conference in Chantilly, outside Paris. “You cannot have 20% of the oil and gas of the planet being stranded and not accessible without major consequences.”

 

More than a dozen countries have said they are willing to join an international mission led by France and Britain to protect shipping in the strait when conditions permit, even as U.S. President Donald Trump has said he does not need allies’ help.

 

“We’re all in the same boat, and it’s not a boat we chose, if I may say. We’re victims of geopolitics and we’re victims of this war that started several months ago,” Macron said on Saturday.

I personally do not know of any judge being corrupt in any sense of the way. I felt that in all manners as long as they been able to pass judgment in a full manner that it was fair.

And somehow, Vicky, I'm quite sure of this, somehow they decided that nineteen was as old as any of them could live. Richard "Amos" Deigan, the hero of our little story, had his nineteenth birthday on September 4, 1964—the date in the book. I think maybe they killed him. Sacrificed him in the corn. Isn't that a silly story?

 

But let's look at Rachel Stigman, who was Donna Stigman until 1964. She turned nineteen on June 21, just about a month ago. Moses Richardson was born on July 29—just three days from today he'll be nineteen. Any idea what's going to happen to ole Mose on the twenty-ninth?

The first woman.

I’ve never bought the argument that Paulson was consciously out to wipe out Lehman Brothers and save Goldman Sachs last fall. That sort of behavior just doesn’t square with anything I’ve learned about the man. Plus, it’s not as if he and Blankfein were all that chummy—Blankfein was thrilled to see Paulson leave Goldman. It was Goldman’s importance and Paulson’s respect for Blankfein’s smarts that motivated his frequent phone calls.

 

What is plausible, though, is that Paulson saw Lehman’s fall as deserved but Goldman’s (and Morgan Stanley’s and Citigroup’s and Bank of America’s) potential fall as indicative of a systemic failure that had to be prevented. Because, you can hear Paulson thinking to himself, Lloyd Blankfein is much smarter than Dick Fuld is and Goldman is much better-run than Lehman.

 

And here’s the thing: Lloyd Blankfein probably is smarter than Dick Fuld, and Goldman probably was and is better-run than Lehman was. It’s just that allowing that determination to be made by a former Goldman CEO (in part, at least; Paulson describes Ben Bernanke and Tim Geithner as equal partners) means that it will forever be open to questioning and criticism.

I know it is hard for people to grasp but it was Roman that formed the first formally recognized Republic. It was not actually called a Democracy. It was not until some time later that this language was used for a description of a government.

 

It is like trying to say that Communisms existed before 1917. It just did not is the thing ok this war the red scare when Russia fell to communist rule is all ok.

Trump "wasn't worried" during White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting

Last night in the nation's capitol a gunman stormed the security perimeter at the White House Correspondents; Dinner. The president, the first lady, the vice president, cabinet members, and more than 2,500 guests were gathered to celebrate the First Amendment and freedom of the press. But after shots were fired, the president was evacuated.

 

It was at the same hotel where President Ronald Reagan was nearly assassinated by John Hinckley, 45 years ago.

 

Tonight, federal investigators are looking into the motive of the alleged gunman – a 31-year old teacher from Torrance, California.

 

He emailed what a senior official called a "manifesto" to his family, minutes before the attack. He wrote he was targeting members of the Trump administration.

 

We spoke with President Trump this afternoon at the White House about what happened.

 

Norah O'Donnell: Mr. President, do you know if you were the target of the gunman?

 

President Trump: I don't know. It sounded to me. I read a manifesto, which is he's radicalized. He was a Christian believer, and then he became an anti-Christian, and he had a lotta change. He's been goin' through a lot, based on what he wrote. His brother complained about him and I think reported him to the police. And his sister, likewise, complained about him. His family was very concerned. He was– probably a pretty sick guy.
