Woman Stumbles Upon Sasquatch in Louisiana?

Apr 29, 2026

A Louisiana woman says she recently stumbled upon a sizeable bipedal creature lurking on her property, and the encounter seemingly sent the mysterious interloper, thought to be Sasquatch, running.

The witness, who opted to remain anonymous, recounted the remarkable moment in a report to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization. According to the woman, the possible Sasquatch sighting occurred on the evening of Tuesday, April 14th, near the community of Westlake.

While walking along a trail to retrieve a hay bale she had inadvertently dropped from a bulkhead on her property, the woman turned a corner and "saw a very large dark thing standing upright."

It would appear that she startled the mysterious figure as it immediately "took off, crashing through vines and palmettos." The witness observed that the interloper "turned north west and crossed through waist-deep water."

Although it was difficult to see the creature as it made its escape, the woman stressed that it moved in a fashion that left her no doubt that it was moving on two feet.

"I have lived back here many years," she mused, "and know the difference between deer and hogs moving in the water," suggesting that what appeared on her property earlier this month was not one of those prosaic animals.

Adding one last bit of weirdness to the incident, the woman noted that her pets, as well as those of her neighbors, were all "behaving differently" in the days leading up to the sighting, with "outside cats trying to get inside" and dogs seemingly sensing an unknown presence on the property.

Trump addresses UFO files, teases ‘near future’ release

Updated: Apr 29, 2026 / 02:02 PM CDT

President Donald Trump says the government’s files on UFOs could be released sometime soon, and his administration will release as many as it can.

“I think some of it is going to be very interesting,” Trump said during an Oval Office gathering Wednesday.

At the same event, Trump welcomed the four astronauts of NASA’s Artemis II mission at the White House three weeks after they returned from the moon.

“We have some people that have captivated the attention of the whole world. They’re very brave, and there’s a lot of rocket under them,” Trump said.

“We’re very proud of these people, and they have unbelievable courage.”

NASA names next astronauts to travel to International Space Station

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman told reporters the next Artemis mission, Artemis III, is slated for sometime in 2027.

The four astronauts — Reid Wiseman, Christina Koch, Victor Glover and Jeremy Hansen — splashed back down to Earth on April 10 after a 10-day historic lunar flyby.

During the trip, the astronauts got to do what had never been done before: see the far side of the moon.

Isaacman also addressed the question of moving NASA’s headquarters away from Washington, D.C., saying the agency is looking to stay in D.C. to keep a central hub for communicating with all the NASA bases across the country.

Wednesday’s meeting was not the first time the Artemis II astronauts spoke with the president. Just after they flew past the moon, Trump called them and congratulated them on completing the mission. It was this phone call where he invited them to the White House.

“Today, you’ve made history and made all America really proud, incredibly proud. We have a lot of things to be proud of lately, but this is, there’s nothing like what you’re doing,” Trump said.

Aliens Already Among Us As NASA Scientist Claims UFOs Have Been Secretly Disabling Nuclear Weapons Since 1960s

29 April 2026, 3:27 AM BST

Unexplained shutdowns at US nuclear missile bases during the Cold War are back in the spotlight after a former NASA scientist revisited the incidents in a widely shared podcast interview.

Dr Kevin Knuth, a physicist and former researcher at NASA's Ames Research Center, discussed historical accounts of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) appearing near military installations, including reports that missile systems became temporarily inoperable during those encounters.

The discussion, featured on Mayim Bialik's Breakdown, has renewed attention on decades-old testimony from US Air Force personnel. However, no publicly available evidence confirms that UAPs interfered with nuclear systems, and official investigations have not reached that conclusion.

Cold War Incidents and Eyewitness Accounts

Much of the discussion centres on reports from the 1960s, including a widely cited incident at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana in 1967. Former Air Force personnel have said multiple Minuteman missiles became inoperable while a glowing object was observed near the facility.

In the podcast, Dr Knuth referred to testimony from former officers describing guidance system failures occurring at the same time as reported sightings. He said such accounts have been repeated over decades, contributing to speculation about a possible link between UAP activity and nuclear infrastructure.

He also emphasised that it remains unclear whether any interaction, if it occurred, was intentional or coincidental, and said technical faults or other forms of interference should be considered.

Scientific Interpretation and Uncertainty

Dr Knuth said some reported UAP flight characteristics, including high speed and acceleration, appear difficult to reconcile with current aerospace technology and warrant further study.

At the same time, he acknowledged the limits of the available evidence, noting that much of it is based on anecdotal testimony that cannot be independently verified. He added that many sightings are likely to have conventional explanations, including misidentified aircraft or natural phenomena.

Official Findings and Alternative Explanations

US defence authorities have consistently stated that there is no verified evidence linking UAPs to non-human intelligence or to interference with nuclear systems.

The Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), which reviews historical and current UAP cases, has said that many reported incidents can be explained by airborne objects, sensor anomalies or incomplete data.

Sceptics of the nuclear interference claims point to known technical vulnerabilities in early missile systems.

During the 1960s, guidance computers and electronic components were susceptible to faults, including electromagnetic interference, which could lead to shutdowns without external involvement.

Dr Knuth similarly noted that his initial approach to such cases is to consider conventional explanations before attributing them to unknown causes.

Renewed Public Interest in UAPs

Interest in UAPs has grown in recent years following the release of declassified military footage and increased congressional scrutiny in the United States. Podcast discussions and online platforms have further amplified both historical accounts and new interpretations of unexplained sightings.

While some researchers argue that patterns across reports merit further investigation, the claims discussed in the podcast remain unverified. No official inquiry has concluded that UAPs have interfered with nuclear weapons or demonstrated capabilities beyond known technology.

As scientific and government reviews continue, experts maintain that distinguishing between documented evidence and speculative interpretation remains essential.

UFO Update: Congresswoman Promises to Show Things of ‘Nonhuman Origin’

Apr 29, 2026 at 01:49 PM EDT updated Apr 29, 2026 at 01:50 PM EDT

Representative Anna Paulina Luna promised to hold a press conference addressing what she described as materials or information of “nonhuman origin,” a move that comes as pressure mounts on the Pentagon over delayed releases of unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UAP, footage.

Luna, a Florida Republican who chairs the House Oversight Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, has been among the most vocal lawmakers demanding greater transparency from the Department of Defense (DOD, also known as the Department of War) regarding unexplained aerial encounters.

Her remarks follow a Pentagon update acknowledging delays in releasing dozens of UAP videos sought by lawmakers, including footage recorded by U.S. military personnel.

The Pentagon has said it is working with other agencies to review and consolidate the material before public release, citing classification and national security concerns.

The missed deadline has drawn criticism from Luna and other members of Congress, who said that unexplained activity near U.S. military assets raises oversight and security questions.

Luna has accused DOD officials of slow-walking disclosures ordered by Congress and the White House, vowing to continue pushing for the release of the material.

"The Department of War's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office [AARO] is working in close coordination with the White House and across federal agencies to consolidate existing UAP records collections and facilitate the expeditious release of never-before-seen UAP information," a Department of War official told Newsweek on Wednesday.

"Since the office was established, AARO has made progress to make UAP information available and transfer those records to the National Archives in accordance with federal law.

We welcome the president's initiative to supercharge these efforts and make more UAP information available to the public as soon as possible."

What Did Luna Say About UFOs?

Luna's comments were made aired Wednesday during an episode of the Pod Force One podcast hosted by Miranda Devine.

“I have seen evidence in a SCIF that leads me to believe there are things we cannot explain," Luna said. "I have observed things that are of nonhuman origin and creation. That’s my opinion.”

Later in the interview, she added: “When it’s declassified, I will have a press conference, and I’ll show you exactly what we saw.”

What Did Luna Say About Aliens?

In 2024, a study by Harvard social science researchers suggested that aliens could be living underground on Earth or on the moon, and that UFOs and other unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) might be evidence of them getting around.

During the podcast, Devine asked Luna about aliens, pressing the lawmaker that if she had to make a decision on whether or not aliens are "moving among us with their strange machines that have all sorts of powers," what would she say.

"Do you think that's plausible?" Devine asked. “I don’t call them aliens, and I don’t know what these things are that they’re using, right?" Luna said. "But I think that there's stuff that we have witnessed as members of Congress, been briefed on that we cannot explain."

Her comments build on years of growing congressional focus on UAPs.

Lawmakers in both chambers have convened multiple hearings since 2022 examining military encounters with unexplained objects, intelligence community reporting and the work of the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, or AARO, which was established to investigate such incidents

At the hearings, defense and intelligence officials have repeatedly said there is no verified evidence that the phenomena represent extraterrestrial technology.

AARO leadership has said that many reported sightings are eventually attributed to airborne clutter, sensor limitations or classified U.S. programs, though a subset remain unresolved.

Still, testimony from military pilots and whistleblowers has fueled bipartisan calls for greater transparency.

Some lawmakers have argued that the classified handling of UAP data has eroded public trust and limited meaningful congressional oversight, while skeptics warn that disclosures might ultimately prove less dramatic than suggested.

What Happens Next With UAP Declassification

Luna has not publicly detailed what information she plans to present at the promised press conference, though in the podcast, she added that more information will be coming out soon.

"I think that the American people will have many of their questions answered," she said.

Squash the tech or silence them: Tim Burchett draws a hard line on missing UFO insiders

29 April 2026

As claims about another scientist circulate within UFO-related discourse, Congressman Tim Burchett has added a more explicit edge to the conversation, suggesting that the pattern points to one of only two explanations.

Speculation has been mounting to unprecedented levels recently regarding missing or deceased figures connected to secretive space programs.

Though when it comes to the dead or missing individuals linked to UFO disclosure, they aren’t all technically scientists, despite infographics labelling otherwise – some were indeed government contractors, or even admin support staff.

The cases range from suspected overdoses to going missing in the desert, but there are still plenty of dots to connect with the saga.

Republican Representative Tim Burchett is among the loudest voices pushing the issue into public view. He has recently spoken of the death threats he often receives, sounding the alarm to shrill decibels.

And, when speaking with Rob Finnerty on Newsmax, the congressman put a binary spin on disclosure events.

I think clearly someone’s sending a message of one or two things. Either they want to squash our technology, or they’re warning others not to come forward… There's a lot at stake, and we're poking the hornet's nest.

The comments arrive amid heightened UFO disclosure efforts in Washington, where lawmakers are striving for greater transparency, despite occasionally adding to the confusion.

None of the individual (missing or deceased) cases have been officially linked. However, the momentum is snowballing.

Poking the hornet’s nest

Burchett’s comments came following the revelation that another scientist's name can be added to the list, after fellow Congressman Eric Burlisson tweeted on April 28th that “a young scientist…just turned up dead in a Tesla crash after his car drove two hours by itself.”

With the “body burnt beyond recognition,” it’s natural to wonder what is actually going on, whatever position you might take.

During the talk with Burchett, presenter Rob Finnerty pointed out that Tesla owner Elon Musk usually posts on X when there is a mishap with one of his cars.

This follows Burchett's claims that the FBI may have been part of the cover-up when previous whistleblowing had gone stagnant.

And obviously, Burchett stopped shy of criticizing previous presidents, especially as he claims under President Trump, “I hope we get to the bottom of it.”

So, whoever the “someone” is that’s “sending a message” – be it the government, intelligence community, private contractors, or something else entirely – the ambiguity fuelled by the politicians is what’s keeping the rhetorical work alive.
