All generations have, generally, turned into zombies, controlled by their little screens. Middle-aged relatives who used to navigate one-way city streets without thinking now need their cars talking to them just to go around the corner. See it happen. They actually wait for the "voice" before putting turn signal on. It's freaky and sad. Have to beg them to turn it off when in cars with them.

People don't interact face-to-face, no matter the age. *Mileage may vary depending on location, of course.

Philadelphia: Chinese flag raised at Philly City Hall sparks outcry over CCP human rights record Oct 06, 2025

A recent flag-raising ceremony at Philadelphia's City Hall has ignited significant backlash after city officials hoisted the flag of the People's Republic of China just ahead of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) National Day.

The event, held on September 30, was sharply criticised in a detailed commentary published by The Epoch Times, which highlighted concerns over CCP influence and questioned the wisdom of honouring a regime accused of severe human rights violations. Unlike ceremonies celebrating allies like Ukraine or Taiwan, the Philadelphia event paid tribute to what The Epoch Times described as "a genocidal regime" and "history's greatest threat to the United States…" The Chinese national flag was raised with the participation of a counsellor from the Chinese Consulate General in New York–an office previously linked to espionage and political influence operations… https://www.tribuneindia.com/news/world/philadelphia-chinese-flag-raised-at-philly-city-hall-sparks-outcry-over-ccp-human-rights-record/

>they want good trade relations

Can't argue that, Anon. Only problem is, China does own "D.C." and has for decades. Can't find anything made here, especially clothes, household, and childrens' goods, unless very wealthy. Everything made in chyna.
