Seven civilians wounded after Ukrainian attack on Russian village – governor

4 May, 2026 10:51 | Updated 4 May, 2026 11:55

Kiev conducted rocket and drone strikes on an agricultural facility in Bryansk Region, Aleksandr Bogomaz has said

Seven workers from an agricultural facility in Bryansk Region, Russia were wounded after Ukrainian forces carried out a “barbaric” rocket strike, Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz reported on Monday.

The attack targeted the Miratorg agro-industrial holding in the village of Brovnichi, Klimovsky District, causing damage to production facilities. While the injured were being evacuated, Kiev launched a follow-up drone attack.

“Inhumanity and terrorism are the methods of the Kiev regime,” Bogomaz wrote on Telegram, adding that the wounded have been hospitalized and are receiving treatment.

Hours earlier, Bogomaz reported another attack on a Miratorg truck in the settlement of Senchury, Suzemsky District. The driver was wounded when a kamikaze drone deliberately struck his moving vehicle.

Ukrainian UAVs also attacked the territory of a Russian Post office in the village of Demyanki, injuring a driver and a postal worker, Bogomaz said. Both of the victims have been taken to the hospital to receive medical care.

Last week, another Miratorg facility in the region was attacked by a Ukrainian drone in the village of Brakhlov. One company employee was killed in the strike and equipment was damaged.

Since the start of the conflict with Russia, Ukrainian forces have repeatedly targeted Russian border regions. Since mid-March, Kiev has intensified its attacks, deploying hundreds of fixed-wing UAVs on a daily basis, targeting critical infrastructure, manufacturing facilities, and residential areas.

Russian officials have described the aerial incursions as desperate “terrorist attacks” meant to compensate for the setbacks the Ukrainian military has been suffering on the battlefield.

Putin Fears Drone Assassination Attempt, Coup, Intelligence Leak Claims

May 4, 2026, 4:11 pm

Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly fears an assassination attempt, including the possible use of drones, as well as a potential coup attempt from within Russia’s political and security elite.

The claims are based on a leaked European intelligence report cited by Russian outlet Important Stories [Vazhnyye Novosti] and CNN.

According to the publication, the document describes the “real state of affairs” inside the Kremlin and was allegedly leaked by a source linked to a European intelligence agency.

The source reportedly holds an official position in a European government and risks professional consequences if the document proves to be part of a disinformation effort.

Important Stories noted that the authenticity of the material cannot be independently verified, but said it had reviewed the report in full. Kyiv Post wasn’t able to independently verify the claims.

Fears of assassination and internal conspiracy

According to the report, since early March, the Kremlin has been increasingly concerned about leaks of sensitive information and the possibility of a conspiracy or attempted coup against Putin.

It specifically states that Putin fears a potential assassination attempt involving drones, allegedly linked to members of Russia’s political elite.

In response, the Federal Protective Service (FSO) has reportedly significantly tightened security measures around the Russian president.

Security tightened around Putin

The report outlines a series of alleged security changes around Putin and his inner circle.

According to the document, visitors to the presidential administration now undergo two levels of screening, including full searches conducted by FSO officers.

It also claims that the list of locations Putin regularly visits has been significantly reduced. The report says that neither Putin nor his family are currently staying at their usual residences in the Moscow region or in Valdai.

Instead, it alleges that since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Putin has frequently been based in modernized bunkers, including facilities in the Krasnodar region, where he can reportedly work for extended periods while Russian media continue to use pre-recorded footage.

It further claims that no visits to military facilities have been organized this year, in contrast to frequent trips in 2025, and that internet and communication shutdowns are periodically imposed in parts of Moscow.

Security measures are also said to include extensive FSO sweeps, with canine units deployed and personnel stationed along the Moskva River to counter potential drone attacks.

The report adds that the FSO is responsible for monitoring and approving media content involving Putin under a secret decree.

Staff working in close proximity to the Russian president are reportedly banned from using mobile phones and are required to use offline devices.

They are also said to be prohibited from using public transport and must rely exclusively on FSO vehicles, while surveillance systems are allegedly installed in the homes of personnel such as cooks, photographers, and security staff.

Concerns over coup risks and elite tensions

The report also links growing internal tensions to former Defense Minister and current Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu.

It claims that Shoigu is associated with potential coup risks due to his continued influence within the military leadership.

The arrest of his former deputy Ruslan Tsalikov on March 5 – on charges of embezzlement, money laundering, and bribery, according to Russia’s Investigative Committee – is presented in the report as a sign of weakening informal protections among the elite.

However, no evidence is provided linking Shoigu, who was previously considered one of Putin’s closest allies, personally to any wrongdoing.

CNN also references the June 2023 mutiny led by Wagner Group head Yevgeny Prigozhin, describing it as a failed coup attempt against Putin.

The intelligence report further claims that concerns over the safety of senior military officials have intensified tensions between Russia’s security agencies.

Following the assassination of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov in December 2025, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov reportedly called for a Security Council meeting to address internal security failures.

Internal disputes within security leadership

At a closed Security Council meeting held in December, the report claims senior officials blamed one another for gaps in protection systems exposed by Ukrainian attacks.

Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov reportedly said it is impossible to fully prevent such attacks and criticized the Defense Ministry for lacking dedicated protection units for senior officers.

Rosgvardia chief Viktor Zolotov reportedly rejected responsibility for protecting Defense Ministry officials, sparking tensions with Gerasimov.

Putin is said to have urged calm and ordered officials to submit proposals to improve the situation.

Expanded protection for senior officials

Following the meeting, Putin reportedly held discussions with FSO Director Dmitry Kochnev. It was decided to expand the list of individuals under enhanced protection.

Previously, such protection applied only to Gerasimov. According to the report, it has now been extended to ten senior generals, including three deputy chiefs of the General Staff.

Claims of corroboration

Important Stories said some details in the report are supported by independent sources.

A former FSB officer reportedly told the outlet that the FSO – not the FSB – is behind widespread internet shutdowns in Moscow, although the publication noted it had previously lacked a second source to confirm this.

The outlet also said multiple sources within Russia’s security services confirmed heightened fears of a conspiracy or assassination attempt.

According to the report, internal priorities have shifted, with some surveillance resources redirected toward monitoring government agencies rather than traditional criminal cases.

It also claims that heightened secrecy around Putin is reflected in symbolic changes, including the absence of invitations for State Duma deputies to this year’s Victory Day parade in Red Square.

Sudan drone strike kills 17 relatives of defector to armed forces

May 04, 2026

A drone strike blamed on Sudan's Rapid Support Forces has killed 17 members of the family of a former paramilitary officer who defected to the army, witnesses and officials said on Monday.

A separate drone, also suspected to have been launched by the RSF, targeted Khartoum International Airport, leading to operations being suspended, the military-aligned Ministry of Information said. There were no casualties nor material damage, it added.

“Normal aviation operations will soon resume at Khartoum Airport once routine measures are completed,” a statement read.

Video clips posted online show smoke rising from what was purportedly the airport's grounds. The National could not independently verify the footage.

Witnesses and officials said the earlier strike hit the home of Abu Aqla Kaikal in the village of Al Kahly Zeidan, in Al Jazeera state, south of Khartoum, late on Saturday. Among those killed was his younger brother, Azzam.

The brothers had served in Sudan Shield, an auxiliary force allied with the army against the RSF in a civil war now entering its fourth year.

Gen Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, the army chief and Sudan's de facto leader, visited Al Kahly Zeidan on Sunday night to offer his condolences, the military-led Sovereign Council said, blaming the attack on the RSF.

It was not clear whether the defector was in the house at the time of the attack. However, a video clip widely shared on Monday purported to show him in the region of Kordofan, south-west of the capital.

“Targeting women and children is a crime that lays bare the nature of the militia [RSF] and will not negatively impact on combat operations or the morale of the fighters,” he said in the footage.

The home was hit by projectiles launched from a drone, said the witnesses and officials. The RSF has not claimed responsibility for the attack.

Mr Kaikal, an experienced military commander, defected to the army in 2024 and went on to play a pivotal role in recapturing Al Jazeera state, Sudan's agricultural heartland, before pushing towards Khartoum.

His Sudan Shield fighters are now in Kordofan in western Sudan and Blue Nile in the south.

Mr Kaikal had been the most senior RSF commander to defect to the army until this month, when senior general Al Nour Ahmed Adam fled from the RSF-held western region of Darfur and joined the armed forces in northern Sudan.

Saturday's attack appeared to be a reprisal and may signal the start of targeted killings aimed at figures who shape the battlefield, such as Kaikal.

Following his defection, Gen Adam was stripped of his rank and sentenced to death in absentia by a paramilitary court, according to an RSF statement.

The attack on the Kaikal family home also underlined the increasing use by both sides of long-range drones.

In the past, the two sides have occasionally targeted the seats of their rival administrations – Port Sudan, where the military-aligned government is based, and Nyala in Darfur, seat of the RSF-backed administration.

Besides the attack on the Kaikal family home, the latest drone missions blamed on the RSF took place on Friday and Saturday and again on Monday, according to the witnesses and officials.

The targets included the radio and television station and army positions in the city of Al Obeid in Kordofan, as well as military installations in Omdurman, one of the three cities that comprise the greater Khartoum area. The other two are Khartoum and Bahri.

In one attack, a car was hit in a military zone of the greater Khartoum area, killing its six occupants. Emergency Lawyers, a private Sudanese group that monitors the war, confirmed the attack on the car and the death toll. It said the RSF was responsible.

The war in Sudan broke out in April 2023, when months of tension between army chief Gen Al Burhan and RSF commander Gen Mohamed Dagalo over their future in a democratic Sudan boiled over into open conflict in Khartoum before it swiftly spread.

The war has to date killed tens of thousands, displaced more than 13 million people and created the world's worst humanitarian crisis, with some 25 million – about half the population – facing hunger or food shortages.

Both Gen Al Burhan and Gen Dagalo claim to be fighting for a democratic and prosperous Sudan but they are widely believed by opponents to be pursuing their goal of ruling the impoverished though resource-rich country.

From Area 51 to Redstone: Why U.S. Space Command's New Intelligence Hub Is Reviving UFO Craft Allegations

04 May 2026, 8:13 AM BST

The US military's newest intelligence hub just opened on the same base where a former Pentagon UFO investigator once worked, and conspiracy theorists are not letting that coincidence slide.

U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) officially took operational control of a facility at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, on 29 April 2026.

Gen. Stephen Whiting, the command's top officer, cut the ribbon alongside Lt Gen. James Adams, Director of the Defence Intelligence Agency, calling the move 'a critical step forward.'

The facility will house the Joint Intelligence Support Element (JISE), an 80-person team that supports US military operations in the space domain.

Within days, a post on X began claiming that 'non-human craft' were being moved from Area 51 to Redstone Arsenal. The posts are spreading without critical historical context that makes the real story far more consequential than any alien theory.

The Redstone Connection Conspiracy Theorists Missed

Before the Pentagon's UFO office even existed, its first director had a Redstone address.

Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick served as chief scientist at the Missile and Space Intelligence Center at Redstone Arsenal before being recruited in 2022 to lead the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), a Pentagon unit Congress created to investigate decades of UFO claims.

What Kirkpatrick found wasn't evidence of extraterrestrial technology. It was evidence that the US military had been manufacturing its own UFO mythology for more than 40 years.

Doctored Photos, Fake Programmes, and a Bar Near Area 51

AARO's investigation, first detailed by The Wall Street Journal in June 2025, traced the roots of America's UFO obsession directly to the Pentagon.

In the 1980s, a now-retired Air Force colonel handed doctored photographs of flying saucers to a bar owner near Area 51 in Nevada. The aim wasn't to confirm alien life.

It was to shield classified stealth aircraft testing, including the F-117 fighter programme, from public and foreign scrutiny.

The disinformation ran deeper than one officer.

Kirkpatrick's team uncovered a decades-long ritual called 'Yankee Blue', in which newly assigned Air Force commanders were shown staged images of alien craft and told they were joining a classified programme to reverse-engineer antigravity technology.

Officers signed non-disclosure agreements and were warned of imprisonment or execution if they spoke about it. Most never learned that the entire exercise was fabricated.

AARO determined the practice had affected hundreds of military personnel across several decades.

A Stop Order the Pentagon Can't Find

The Defence Secretary's office reportedly issued a directive in spring 2023 ordering the Yankee Blue ritual to stop immediately.

But when the Black Vault, a government transparency organisation, submitted a Freedom of Information request for the memo, the Office of the Secretary of Defence said no responsive records could be found.

An appeal was granted in December 2025, and the case was sent back for a broader search. The outcome has not been made public.

A Defence Department spokesperson confirmed that AARO had 'uncovered evidence of fake classified programme materials relating to extraterrestrials' and had briefed lawmakers on the findings.

Kirkpatrick stepped down from AARO in December 2023, months before the report was released.

Why the Speculation Won't Stop

USSPACECOM's move to Redstone is a routine military relocation. The command is transitioning from Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Huntsville, with Whiting setting a target of at least 50% of staff operating from Alabama by the end of 2028.

About 1,800 military, civilian, and contractor personnel will eventually work on the base.

But the same installation that now hosts America's space intelligence operation once housed the scientist who proved the Pentagon fabricated alien evidence for four decades.

That irony isn't lost on anyone paying attention, and it's exactly why every move the military makes at Redstone will be watched through a very different lens.

Goldie Hawn Claims Aliens ‘Touched’ Her Face – ‘Like Finger Of God…’

Updated May 4, 2026

The Oscar-winning actress Goldie Hawn is speaking out to claim that she once had an encounter with aliens in California. Indeed, Hawn became emotional as she recalled that the aliens “touched” her face.

Hawn’s Alleged Alien Encounter

Hawn, 80, made this claim while being interviewed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! There, she claimed that she had an encounter with aliens back in the 1960s.

“I suddenly remembered… they touched my face,” said Hawn.

“They touched my face, and it felt like the finger of God,” she continued. “It was the most benevolent, loving feeling. This was powerful. It was filled with light.”

Hawn became visibly emotional as she explained that the encounter occurred when she was working as a dancer in California and living in a small apartment.

“I looked up in the sky and I said, ‘I know you’re up there, and I know we’re not alone, and I want to meet you one day,'” she recounted.

Just four months later, two or three alien creatures allegedly came to her. Hawn was exhausted from dance rehearsals that night when she asked a friend if she could nap in her car.

Moments after she closed her eyes, Hawn claims to have experienced something that she still does not truly understand.

“I heard a high-pitched sound in my ear,” she said. “And I remember looking at my hand and my body, and I couldn’t move anything. I was completely paralysed.”

When she looked out the car window, Hawn shockingly saw aliens observing her.

“Two people… looking at me with triangular-shaped heads, sort of silver color,” she stated. Hawn added that the aliens appeared to communicate through sound rather than speech.

Check out Hawn’s full comments on this in the video below.

Hawn’s Previous Alien Encounter Comments

Hawn previously opened up about this alleged alien encounter while appearing on an episode of Time to Walk on Apple Fitness+ back in 2023.

“That was a time when, you know, there was a lot of UFO sightings,” Hawn said. “I remember this so clearly: I went outside my door, and I sat on the little ledge, and I looked up at the dark sky. And I saw all these stars.

And all I could think of was, How far does this go? How little are we? Are we the only planet in the whole wide universe that has life on it?”

It was at that moment that Hawn realized that she was destined to make contact with aliens.

“I said, ‘I know you’re out there, I know we’re not alone, and I would like to meet you one day,'” she remembered.

It was four months later that Hawn’s alien encounter allegedly happened.

“I saw these two or three triangular-shaped heads. They were silver in color, slash for a mouth, tiny little nose, no ears,” Hawn said. “They were pointing at me, pointing at me in the car as if they were discussing me, like I was a subject. And they were droning.”

“I was paralyzed,” Hawn claimed. “And I thought, Oh, my God. I want to get up. I didn’t know if it was real or not real.”

Hawn was eventually able to “burst out” of the episode.

“It was like bursting out of a forcefield,” she concluded. “Of course I go back to all the kids and stuff, and I went, ‘Oh, my God. I think I made contact with outer space.’”

Some will likely find Hawn’s claims of an alien encounter hard to believe. Others, however, will report to having similar experiences. In the end, this serves as a reminder of just how mysterious our universe really is in many ways.

God bless you, Goldie Hawn!

The Pentagon’s UFO Office Knows They’re Real. But Can It Tell the Truth?

4 May 2026

The official line: there are true anomalies which the head of the Pentagon’s UFO office does not understand with his physics and engineering background, and from his time in the Intelligence Community.

Dr. Jon Kosloski, director of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, or AARO, has since described Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, or UAP, as “really peculiar” and “perplexing”.

His predecessor at AARO, Tim Phillips, has told Liberation Times that the office has encountered cases in which UAP appear to display capabilities not seen in any known aircraft or spacecraft.

Although Phillips did not state that such objects reflected non-human or alien activity, he said there were incidents by “highly qualified observers that they saw some truly astonishing performance capabilities - things that no known human system could behave.”

Phillips said the incidents could not be attributed to any known U.S. or adversary technology, or in his own words: “We were able to conclusively prove it wasn't a known system, either adversary or friendly.”

The existence of these extraordinary phenomena is no longer really in doubt. UFOs are real.

The real question now is where they come from and what intentions they have.

As the White House now prepares to disclose never-before-seen UAP information to the public, the question of origin and intention will now loom over everything else

But while searching for the best evidence and information, the White House may well have to look beyond AARO to support this next vital step.

The AARO is still a Pentagon office.

It’s nested within the same national security system that whistleblowers say has long controlled and buried the issue.

Many whistleblowers do not trust AARO.

That distrust was sharpened by the fact that the office grew out of the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group or AOIMSG.

AOIMSG was located within the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security (OUSDI&S), whose formal responsibilities include intelligence, counterintelligence, security and insider-threat policy.

This certainly puts into question whether AARO’s witness outreach was truly well-intentioned, as opposed to a counterintelligence and insider threat exercise.

Official Department of War (DoW) directives show that OUSDI&S helps set and oversee security policy for Special Access Programs, provides security oversight for components managing Special Access Program-related equities, and monitors counterintelligence issues, security violations and infractions involving those programs.

A Special Access Program (SAP) security manual from 2025 states that OUSDI&S - which also has oversight for the National Reconnaissance Office and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, ‘Establishes, develops, and coordinates DoD SAP security policy and provides security oversight…’

To whistleblowers, that matters enormously.

They were being asked to place sensitive UAP information into a system built not only to investigate, but to protect, contain and police access to classified secrets.

Although AARO is now situated within the Office of the Secretary of War, its original architecture was built by OUSDI&S, which also appointed its former Director, Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick.

Note, Kirkpatrick was selected by David Taylor, Under Secretary of War for Intelligence & Security, a figure sources have told Liberation Times has long been hostile to UAP.

Congress has already pushed for an outside review of AARO.

Its credibility has been damaged by attacks on whistleblowers, a disputed Congressionally mandated historical report and questions over how key cases were handled.

Tim Phillips told Liberation Times that AARO did not have the power to decide, by itself, that whistleblower material should be classified.

But it could still mark material as classified by relying on existing rules used by agencies such as the DoW, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the CIA.

Phillips stated:

“AARO were not a cabinet-level office. We don't have the authority to classify. We have to go by classification guides - derivative classifiers.

So they would use the classification guides, say for the Department of Defence or the Director of National Intelligence or CIA. But that's how we classify - it's called derivative classification. And he's correct.

“Someone would come in, and we'd look at it. If we thought it was going to compromise sensitive government capabilities secrets, there are methods and ways to protect that and classify it accordingly."

This appears to have happened in the case of Dylan Borland, a former U.S. Air Force geospatial intelligence specialist and UAP whistleblower who has testified before Congress.

Borland provided AARO with three drawings. Two of them were later treated as classified under existing classification guides. When asked about this by Liberation Times, Phillips did not dismiss that account.

In its 2024 annual report, AARO publicly stated that it had no data indicating the capture or exploitation of UAP.

But that position has to be read alongside the office’s classification system.

In other words, if evidence of UAP capture or exploitation were controlled by another agency or protected under an existing classification guide, AARO may not be able to acknowledge it publicly.

Also, its position must account for the national security world, where denial, concealment, cover and authorised deception can be legitimate protective tools.

The paradox is that AARO has helped move the official position forward, while also embodying the very system many whistleblowers distrust. It has acknowledged unresolved, highly anomalous cases.

But it was created inside an intelligence and security architecture built for threat assessment, attribution and the protection of sensitive information.

That does not mean AARO is acting in bad faith. But it does mean the office may be structurally ill-suited to deliver the kind of disclosure now being demanded. Its role is not simply to reveal. It is also to protect.

And yet, even while managing disclosure, AARO has still helped confirm something remarkable: some UAP seem to exhibit capabilities beyond any known human system.

No official has asserted UAP to be of ‘non-human origin’.

But the range of other explanations is shrinking.

As President Trump considers declassifying information and possibly even physical materials, he should look closely at the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

Liberation Times understands that, in 2022, the Committee was presented with verifiable information relating to secretive UAP retrieval and exploitation missions and programs.

Many of the whistleblowers who engaged with the committee have never spoken with the AARO.

Trump may now be particularly well placed to pursue disclosure, with Marco Rubio, the Committee’s former Acting Chair and Vice Chair, serving as his National Security Advisor.

Asked how far disclosure could go, two sources told Liberation Times that the existence of recovered exotic vehicles may be acknowledged, including that the United States has possession of them.

That decision, if taken, would be based on an understanding that other nations possess similar vehicles.

The aim, sources said, would be to increase the resources dedicated to reverse-engineering the technology, amid what is alleged to be an exploitation race with adversary nations.

However, the sources said any technology derived from such vehicles is unlikely to be disclosed, as doing so could breach national security.

But even if such a disclosure does occur, it may not go far enough for some.

That includes those who allege secret agreements between the United States government and non-human groups, as well as those seeking accountability for any crimes allegedly committed by those who kept such programs hidden.

So the vital question remains in play.

A disclosure that confirms recovered exotic vehicles would be historic.

But unless it addresses origin, purpose and possible intent, it would still leave the central mystery unresolved.

The public may be told that the United States has recovered objects it cannot fully explain. It may even be said that other nations possess similar material.

But without further disclosure about where such objects came from, what analysis has shown, and whether they appear to represent technology controlled by an intelligence, the globe would be left with confirmation with zero context.

That may be deliberate.

The government may decide that the technology, its exploitation and any deeper assessment of origin remain too sensitive to release. Other potential truths may be too disturbing to disclose.

But if that happens, the next battle over UAP disclosure will not be about whether extraordinary objects exist.

It will be about whether the public is allowed to understand what they mean.
