Catholics aren't stupid. Most realize the papacy has been owned and controlled by the Borgia's, Medici's, Orsini's, etc for decades if not centuries. The Vatican is the high level of an org chart. Corrupt. Duh.
That doesn't affect the valididty of the Sacraments. The church is the faithful. Jesus is the groom. The church is the bride.
