NASA Says Something is “Brewing” in Ocean Waters Off the East Coast—And Recent Satellite Images Prove It

May 11, 2026

Something is invading the ocean waters off the northeastern U.S. coast, as revealed in recent satellite imagery.

For several weeks now, eerie green plumes have been swirling in the shallow waters of the Mid-Atlantic Bight, the region that spans the coastlines from Massachusetts to North Carolina.

Beginning in April, blue-green swirling patterns have appeared in NASA satellite imagery, resembling colored smoke billowing into the waters of Delaware Bay, Chesapeake Bay, and other shallow areas along the northeastern coast.

Such regions are known for their discoloration, which scientists specializing in remote sensing describe as “noisy” environments, due to sediments and other materials that flow from inland, carried by rivers that empty into the ocean and deposit microscopic particles.

According to NASA, the blending of organic matter into ocean water, driven by warmer weather, can help feed periodic blooms of phytoplankton, which create the stunning swirls of deep green and blue seen in satellite images of Earth.

“This mix creates optical complexity that has long made it harder for scientists to distinguish and categorize phytoplankton blooms in shallow coastal zones compared to the deeper, darker, more uniform waters of the open ocean,” said Adam Voiland in a recent update for NASA’s Earth Observatory.

For the last two years, the American space agency has been managing several missions to help it better characterize such conditions, including the Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, Ocean Ecosystem (PACE).

Initiated in 2024, PACE collects information on the chemistry and ecology of our oceans using satellite imagery that observes ocean color worldwide.

The information PACE satellites gather can provide crucial insights into our planet’s carbon cycle and a range of other factors that often influence the size and duration of phytoplankton blooms.

The “optical complexity” Voiland describes is a particular challenge for scientists observing these phenomena in coastal regions such as the Mid-Atlantic Bight.

>>24593708

Fortunately, NASA’s PACE mission data is complemented by data from other satellite missions, such as Aqua and Terra, all of which have contributed to the iridescent phytoplankton blooms that began appearing in early April.

Specifically, scientists point to diatoms, a variety of phytoplankton that undergo sudden surges in growth in the spring, as river runoff, often driven by meltwater that is carried downstream from higher elevations, is combined with increased seasonal daylight and a range of other environmental factors.

“Diatoms typically dominate blooms early in the spring, but we are seeing some signs of coccolithophores mixed in as well,” according to Anna Windle, a research scientist currently at Goddard Space Flight Center.

Windle says that, based on data collected by PACE, some of the recent greens and blues have now been confirmed as the result of phytoplankton blooms, as shown in chlorophyll mapping of PACE satellite data.

While sometimes appearing brown or even indiscernible from sea level, diatoms in ocean water this time of year often appear in vibrant hues of green and blue in satellite imagery.

Certain varieties of phytoplankton blooms, such as those involving coccolithophores, are more likely to produce the turquoise coloration seen in imagery collected in recent weeks.

These microscopic plant-like organisms inhabit the uppermost ocean layers and possess thick, scaly exteriors that are highly reflective, resulting in an iridescent greenish coloration often visible even at sea level.

Coccolithophores also play a significant role in the biogeochemical cycles in our seas, and scientists attribute as much as half of the calcium carbonate precipitation in our oceans to these organisms.

Over the next few weeks, the waters off the eastern seaboard will likely resume their normal coloration, unless these microscopic organisms are nourished by additional influxes of nutrients resulting from storms or other environmental events, which periodically carry organic materials into the “noisy” northeastern ocean waters.

You can learn more about phytoplankton blooms at NASA’s Earthdata page.

Newly Released UAP Files Are Shattering Decades Of NASA’s UFO Narrative Just As Artemis Pushes Humanity Back Into Deep Space

May 10, 2026

For decades, NASA stood as the world’s most trusted public face of humanity’s search for life beyond Earth.

The agency sent rovers crawling across Mars, launched probes into deep space, photographed distant galaxies, and built telescopes capable of looking billions of years into the past.

Through it all, NASA consistently projected a carefully measured message regarding extraterrestrial life and UFO phenomena: that there was no confirmed evidence that alien spacecraft had visited Earth.

But the newest wave of UAP disclosures emerging from military, intelligence, and defense archives is now forcing many Americans to ask a difficult question:

Did NASA’s public messaging fully reflect the seriousness with which portions of the U.S. government were actually treating the UFO phenomenon behind closed doors?

That question is becoming impossible to ignore as the Trump administration’s Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters — known as PURSUE — continues releasing previously hidden files involving unidentified anomalous phenomena, military encounters, radar tracking incidents, astronaut observations, and classified investigations spanning decades.

NASA itself still maintains there is no confirmed evidence proving extraterrestrial visitation or alien technology. Officially, that position has not changed. But what has changed dramatically is the surrounding context.

The newly released files reveal that numerous U.S. government agencies quietly treated portions of the phenomenon as serious enough to warrant classified investigations, intelligence monitoring, aerospace analysis, and national-security scrutiny for decades.

That reality stands in stark contrast to the dismissive public tone many Americans grew up hearing regarding UFO reports.

Historically, the public was often led to believe UFO sightings largely stemmed from weather balloons, optical illusions, atmospheric distortions, camera artifacts, misidentifications, or overactive imaginations.

Yet now, the same federal system that once minimized the issue is openly acknowledging unresolved encounters involving astronauts, military pilots, advanced radar systems, transmedium objects, and unidentified craft displaying capabilities not easily explained through conventional aerospace engineering.

The contradiction is not necessarily that NASA lied outright. The contradiction lies in tone. Certainty. Confidence.

For years, astronaut sightings involving unexplained lights or anomalous objects were routinely explained publicly as ice particles, reflected sunlight, orbital debris, or camera anomalies.

In many cases, those explanations may have been entirely correct. Space is filled with debris, reflections, and complex visual effects capable of producing misleading imagery.

But the disclosure files now entering public circulation reveal that some incidents remained unresolved despite significant internal attention.

That changes the public perception dramatically. NASA also long projected an image of radical scientific openness — the idea that extraordinary discoveries would naturally be studied transparently through the scientific process and shared with humanity openly.

Yet the new UAP disclosures suggest much of the phenomenon was instead isolated within defense and intelligence structures operating largely outside public scientific review.

Critics argue that if the anomalies were truly insignificant, there would have been little reason for such extensive classification and compartmentalization.

The timing of this debate is especially significant because it coincides with NASA’s Artemis program — humanity’s most ambitious return-to-the-Moon effort since Apollo.

>>24593765

The Artemis missions are not merely symbolic moon landings.

They represent the beginning of a permanent human return to deep-space operations, lunar infrastructure, orbital gateways, and eventually missions toward Mars.

NASA’s Artemis campaign is designed to establish long-term human presence around and on the Moon through the Space Launch System, Orion spacecraft, lunar Gateway infrastructure, and future crewed surface operations.

That matters enormously in the context of the UAP debate.

Because the deeper humanity moves into cislunar space, the harder it becomes to contain or compartmentalize anomalous observations should they occur.

Unlike previous generations, modern missions are now unfolding in an age of digital transparency, independent satellite monitoring, commercial spaceflight, private aerospace companies, livestreamed mission coverage, and global public scrutiny.

Every unusual object, anomalous signal, unexplained light, or strange orbital event can now spread worldwide within minutes.

And that reality may fundamentally reshape how NASA handles future anomalies.

The Artemis era also revives public interest in longstanding questions surrounding unexplained observations reported during the Apollo missions themselves.

Over the years, astronauts described unusual lights, strange visual phenomena, and unexplained orbital observations that were often publicly minimized or reframed through conventional explanations.

Again, many of those explanations may have been accurate.

But in a post-disclosure environment, the public is increasingly reevaluating old cases through a very different lens.

The deeper contradiction emerging now is philosophical. For decades, NASA framed extraterrestrial life primarily as a distant scientific possibility — microbial life beneath Martian soil, biosignatures on exoplanets, or intelligent civilizations potentially thousands of light years away.

The UAP disclosures change that psychological framework entirely. The modern discussion is no longer focused solely on distant life somewhere in the galaxy.

It is increasingly focused on unexplained phenomena operating within Earth’s atmosphere, oceans, orbital zones, and military airspace. That shift is historic.

And perhaps the greatest reversal of all involves witness credibility.

For years, military personnel, pilots, astronauts, and civilians risked ridicule for discussing UFO encounters publicly. Careers could be damaged. Reputations destroyed. Now, official government offices like AARO openly encourage reporting such incidents.

Congressional hearings are taking place. Military footage is being authenticated. And newly released files are acknowledging that some incidents remain unresolved after analysis. That alone marks one of the most dramatic public reversals in modern American aerospace history.

None of this proves extraterrestrial visitation. It does not confirm alien spacecraft.

And NASA still officially maintains there is no verified evidence linking UAPs to non-human intelligence. But the newly released files have unquestionably shattered the old certainty that there was “nothing there.”

As Artemis pushes humanity back toward the Moon and eventually deeper into space than ever before, the public conversation surrounding unexplained phenomena is no longer confined to conspiracy theories or fringe speculation.

It has entered the mainstream. And for NASA, the agency that helped define humanity’s understanding of the cosmos, the era of automatic dismissal may now be over.

=Watch SpaceX launch secret US spy satellites to orbit from California today==

May 11, 2026

SpaceX will launch a batch of spy satellites for the U.S. government this evening (May 11), and you can watch the action live.

A Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled to lift off from California's Vandenberg Space Force Base today, on a mission for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) called NROL-172.

Launch will occur during a four-hour window that opens at 6:28 p.m. EDT (2228 GMT; 3:28 p.m. local California time). SpaceX will stream the event live via its website and X account, beginning about 10 minutes before liftoff.

NROL-172 will be the 13th launch devoted to building out a new reconnaissance network that the NRO, which operates the United States' fleet of spy satellites, calls its "proliferated architecture."

"To stay ahead of the competition and ensure it can continue to operate in a heightened threat environment, the NRO is modernizing its architecture in space and on the ground — delivering more capability faster with increased resilience," agency officials wrote in the NROL-172 press kit.

"A greater number of satellites — large and small, government and commercial, in multiple orbits — will deliver an order of magnitude more signals and images than is available today," they added.

The satellites for the new network are built by SpaceX and Northrop Grumman. We don't know exactly what they do, where they orbit or how many of them go up on each launch; the NRO has not released such information.

All of the proliferated architecture satellites have reached orbit atop Falcon 9 rockets flying out of Vandenberg, which sits on California's scenic but often foggy central coast. The first such launch, NROL-146, lifted off in May 2024. The most recent, NROL-105, took place this past January.

If all goes according to plan this evening, the Falcon 9's first stage will return to Earth 8.5 minutes after liftoff, touching down in the Pacific Ocean on the SpaceX drone ship "Of Course I Still Love You."

It will be the second launch and landing for this particular booster, according to a SpaceX mission description. SpaceX's livestream will end shortly thereafter, at the request of the NRO.

NROL-172 will be the 55th Falcon 9 launch of the year. The vast majority of the rocket's liftoffs so far in 2026 — 44 of 54 — have been dedicated to building out Starlink, SpaceX's broadband megaconstellation in low Earth orbit.

Space Force Front Door accelerates commercial partnerships with robust presence at Space Symposium

May 11, 2026

The United States Space Force (USSF) swung open its "Front Door" during the 2026 Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as the halls of The Broadmoor resort buzzed with the energy of global space professionals.

Over the course of the annual three-day gathering, the Front Door team, led by Director Vic Vigliotti, executed a packed schedule of industry engagements and shared a comprehensive map of how to navigate and succeed within the Space Force acquisition enterprise.

“The core mission of Space Force Front Door is connection and collaboration with commercial industry,” noted Vigliotti. “It’s what we do every day, but exhibiting at Space Symposium took our outreach to a new level and offered the incredibly valuable experience of meeting with commercial innovators face to face.”

Front Door is a digital platform supported by a dedicated support team to facilitate collaboration between the USSF, government agencies, and the commercial space industry.

Its primary mission is to serve as a streamlined point of entry for commercial companies seeking to share or grow tested and emerging technologies that can advance the nation's space-based capabilities and strengthen national security.

The Front Door team also facilitates industry days and reverse industry days throughout the year to generate commercial-government dialogue on specific mission areas.

At Space Symposium, the Front Door exhibit area served as a dynamic nexus for interaction between commercial enterprises and government acquisition organizations.

Col. Tim Trimailo, director of SSC’s Commercial Space Office (COMSO), Lt. Col. Collin Greiser, system program manager for SSC Advanced Battle Management and director of SSC’s Tools, Applications, and Processing (TAP) Labs, and Kris Acosta with SSC’s Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO) were among the Space Force representatives on hand to engage with conference attendees, outline program priorities, and answer questions.

“The Front Door is really a two-way portal,” noted Trimailo. “It helps commercial stakeholders learn about government space acquisition and it helps our government stakeholders learn more about what commercial industry has to offer. The overarching goal is to leverage commercial innovation to deliver warfighter capability with speed and cost efficiency.”

Front Door exhibit activities at Space Symposium also highlighted organizations that have already found success through the Front Door.

Bosco Lai, co-founder and CEO of Little Place Labs, a company that develops software for processing raw data on edge devices like satellites, enabling image analysis directly on orbit and delivery of results to users on the ground within minutes of collection, described the Front Door as an invaluable resource.

"Through consistent, constructive, and actionable feedback, Front Door’s proactive guidance was instrumental in leading us directly to sponsorship and ultimately a successful award,” said Lai.

“The Front Door team ensured our technology got in front of the right stakeholders, and they even directed us towards new mission areas for consideration. The whole experience has been a game-changer for our company's growth and success."

The Front Door also hosted an exclusive speaker series, providing an engaging opportunity for industry representatives to hear directly from a diverse lineup of subject matter experts, program directors, and strategic partners who make up the broader DoW space acquisition ecosystem. These sessions provided invaluable insights into topics from rapid contracting mechanisms and commercial space domain awareness to technology incubators and small business innovation research.

The speaker lineup included: Adrian Torres, director, Space Enterprise Consortium (SpEC); Barbara Golf, USSF strategic advisor for Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and director, Joint Commercial Operations (JCO); Shae Thomas, senior program manager of Catalyst Accelerator Programs for Catalyst Campus for Technology & Innovation; Toni Balzano and Randy Trask from Q Station; Kelly Stafford, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) program director; Gabe Mounce, director, Tech Engagement Office at AFRL-New Mexico, and strategic adviser, SpaceWERX; Kris Acosta, SSIO; Charlene Jacka, chief engineer, SpaceWERX; and Kathy Steen and Dan Crouch from NewSpace Nexus.

Other special guests at the booth included USSF Lt. Gen. Philip Garrant, SSC commander and members of his senior leadership team, and visits from Secretary of the Air Force, Troy Meink and Chief Master Sgt. of the Space Force John F. Bentivegna.

On the final day of the Space Symposium, Front Door hosted STEM students from local Colorado high schools. The inquisitive teens spoke with CMSgt.

Charles Apodaca, senior enlisted leader at Space Launch Delta 45, asking questions and receiving a first-hand education about the U.S. Space Force.

Additionally, Space Systems Command Human Resources leaders were also on hand to field employment inquiries and provide insights about close to 200 open positions currently available across the growing Space Systems Command.

As the 41st annual Space Symposium drew to a close and the exhibits were packed away, the real work for the Front Door team was just beginning. Armed with hundreds of new contacts, scheduled follow-up engagements, and a clear mandate from leadership, the team returned to SSC ready to translate those interactions into fielded capabilities.

China launches Tianzhou-10—its largest resupply mission to the Tiangong space station

May 11, 2026

Fresh off the heels of the successful Tianzhou-9 mission, China launched the Tianzhou-10 cargo spacecraft from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site on May 11, 2026, to deliver a brand new spacesuit, among other things, to the Tiangong space station.

The new spacesuit is expected to expand the scope of operations of the Taikonauts living aboard the Chinese orbiting laboratory. Combined with the remaining supplies and hardware, the contents of the cargo craft constitute the largest payload of all resupply missions since the station’s construction began, according to Yu Lei, the chief designer of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

The brand new spacesuit is called Feitian. While the previous iteration of the suit had a lifespan stretching 15 spacewalks over three years, Feitian is expected to last 20 spacewalks over the span of four years.

The new spacesuit features airtight elbow and knee bearings for a wider range of movement. It also houses an improved life-support system with enhanced thermal comfort and a refined human-machine interface.

The Tianzhou-10 cargo payload weighs 6.3 tons in total, about 700 kilograms of which is a fresh batch of propellants for the space station.

Zheng Zehao, a researcher from the China Astronaut Research and Training Center, told the local outlet CCTV that the main structure of a new treadmill for exercising inside the station is also being delivered for in-orbit tests.

The Chinese space program has been known to make life for its Taikonauts as Earth-like as possible, and so part of the Tianzhou-10 cargo has fresh produce like apples, cherry tomatoes, green grapes, and flat peaches.

Zehao also mentioned that the spacecraft is carrying frozen steaks and chicken wings, which will further diversify the dining experience aboard the space station.

Similar to the Progress missions launched by Russia and NASA Commercial Resupply Services missions by US companies Northrop Grumman and SpaceX to the International Space Station, Tianzhou spacecraft are meant for shuttling a whole host of science equipment, spare parts, and consumables for the crew.

This was the fifth resupply to the relatively new space station. At the moment, the Tiangong space station is inhabited by the crew of Shenzhou-21, who are currently serving a month-long extension to their mission to test the resilience of the systems and humans on board the outpost.

Ukraine violated Victory Day ceasefire over 16,000 times – Russian MOD

11 May, 2026 00:39 | Updated 11 May, 2026 00:39

The Ukrainian military has violated the Victory Day ceasefire more than 16,000 times since it took effect on Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry has said.

In a statement on Sunday, the ministry said Ukrainian forces had carried out drone and artillery strikes on civilian sites in Crimea, Belgorod Region, Kursk Region, Kaluga Region, Rostov Region, and Krasnodar Region.

In Belgorod alone, five civilians, including a teenager, were injured in Ukrainian drone attacks, according to regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

Ukrainian troops also carried out 676 strikes against Russian positions using artillery, multiple-launch rocket systems, mortars, and tanks. Kiev’s forces launched 6,331 drone attacks and attempted eight assaults on Russian positions.

IIn total, the Russian MOD has recorded 16,071 ceasefire violations by Kiev’s forces since Friday, the statement said. Under those circumstances, Russian troops responded “symmetrically” by targeting firing positions, drone launch sites, and command centers.

Russian forces “continue to strictly observe the ceasefire regime and remain at previously occupied lines and positions,” the ministry stated.

The Victory Day truce announced by Russia last week to mark the 81st anniversary of the end of World War II was initially set to expire on Sunday, but following a proposal from US President Donald Trump, Moscow agreed to extend it for two more days.

Throughout the conflict, Moscow has repeatedly declared temporary truces during major religious and national holidays. Last month, Russia announced an Easter ceasefire, which the Defense Ministry said was violated by Ukrainian forces more than 6,500 times within 32 hours.

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky issued several veiled threats ahead of the Victory Day celebrations, prompting Moscow to warn its foreign partners about the possible consequences.

The Russian Defense Ministry warned that a retaliatory strike on central Kiev would be carried out if attempts were made to disrupt Victory Day events in Moscow, and urged residents and diplomats to leave the Ukrainian capital in advance.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the warning apparently reached Washington and contributed to Trump’s extended ceasefire initiative.

He also said that while the globalist faction of Western elites is still effectively waging war against Russia, using Ukrainians as proxies, the conflict is heading towards its end.

Ukrainian drone strike on empty Baltic fuel depot prompts top-level resignation – in Latvia

May 11, 2026

VIENNA - Latvia's minister of defense has resigned following a renewed incursion of Ukrainian drones into the country's airspace, where they hit an empty fuel depot.

The incident marks the latest in a series of Baltic NATO airspace violations by misguided Ukrainian drones sent to strike Russian targets far away from Kyiv.

On May 7, two drones entered Latvia from Russian airspace, hitting a fuel depot. Nobody was injured. As early as March of this year, there had been incidents of Ukrainian drones crashing into Baltic allies' territory, with one hitting a power plant chimney.

Following the latest incident, Latvia's prime minister, Evika Siliņa, said that defense minister Andris Sprūds had lost her trust and "that of the public," calling on him to resign. He did so on Sunday, being replaced by Col. Raivis Melnis of the Latvian Army.

Also on Sunday, Ukraine's foreign minister, Andrii Sybiha, confirmed that the drones that struck Latvia were sent by his country, though not aimed at the Baltic republic.

The fact that the drones missed their targets and crashed in friendly territory instead, he said, "was the result of Russian electronic warfare deliberately diverting Ukrainian drones from their targets in Russia."

When a series of drones hit all three Baltic states earlier this year, there had been speculation that Russian electronic warfare may be to blame, and that Russia was deliberately re-routing the aircraft "back to sender" − but toward Europe.

The new statement by a top Ukrainian official provides the strongest public confirmation yet that this is a tactic employed by Moscow.

So far, there have been no deaths or injuries reported from wayward Ukrainian drones, but the accidental air strikes have laid bare the inadequate state of air defense even at NATO's most exposed frontier, with the lack of fatalities seemingly mostly a matter of luck.

In Thursday's strike, which took place 40 kilometers into Latvian territory from the Russian border, four empty oil storage tanks were damaged, and firefighters had to extinguish a smoldering area of around 30 square meters.

Schools in Rēzekne were closed, air raid alerts were declared across three municipalities, and residents reported hearing explosions. French NATO Baltic Air Policing jets were scrambled during the alert.

Latvian officials initially said the drones were not shot down because the safety of civilians and infrastructure could not be guaranteed.

Sprūds then reversed that stance entirely, saying: "Drones must be shot down - that's the responsibility of the head of the Armed Forces and myself, as the political leader."

As in March, the Baltic states have used the incident to call for stronger air defense measures. Latvia and Lithuania jointly called on NATO to boost regional air defenses in the wake of the May 7 strike, with Lithuania's defense minister Robertas Kaunas appealing to NATO that "Strengthening anti-drone defense in our region should be a particular emphasis, and additional capabilities are welcome here."

Houthis still using Iranian components in missiles, expanding arsenal

Anti-ship, surface-to-air, and ballistic missiles are among these weapons, demonstrating that the Houthis now possess a range of advanced offensive capabilities.

The Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen continue to use Iranian components in drones, according to a new report. For instance, “external support remains a key factor in the Houthis’ ability to sustain operations,” notes Conflict Armament Research (CAR), which compiled the report.

This is important as it illustrates how the Houthis continue to assemble advanced weapons. Any future conflict with them will need to take this into account. The Houthis burst onto the scene in 2015, moving from the mountains of Yemen and trying to take the port city of Aden.

70 terrorists ‘killed’ in Niger drone strikes

May 11, 2026

There were no civilian casualties in yesterday’s dawn strikes by troops on terrorists in Niger State, the military said yesterday.

The aerial bombardment by the Nigerian Air Force on Guradnayi community in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, killed about 70 terrorists, the military said.

Guradnayi, a settlement near Kusasu, has frequently come under attacks by terrorists.

Locals claimed that strikes, which were carried out around 5am yesterday, reportedly affected civilians.

But in a statement, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ), through its Director of Defence (Media Operations), Maj.-Gen. Michael Onoja, refuted the report.

According to him, the operations were “meticulously planned and executed based on credible and actionable intelligence.”

Onoja said: “The Defence Headquarters wishes to clarify reports circulating in certain quarters alleging that civilians were killed in the aerial interdiction strike conducted in the early hours of Sunday, May 10, 2026, across Katerma, Bokko, Kusasu, and Kuduru villages in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

“The operations were meticulously planned and executed based on credible, actionable intelligence confirming the convergence of terrorists at those specific locations.

“Contrary to the narrative being circulated, the strikes were precisely targeted at identified terrorist enclaves and achieved their intended military objectives, neutralizing approximately seventy armed bandits in Kusasu alone.

“These are armed groups who had been tracked and confirmed as hostile elements actively planning attacks on civilian communities and military assets in the area.”

The Defence spokesperson explained that between 11:59pm to 6am yesterday, the Nigerian Army UAV Command acting on intelligence conducted multiple air strikes on different bandits’ locations, including Katerma, Bokko, Kusasu and Kuduru Villages all in Shiroro LGA of Niger State.

According to him, further reports from local sources confirmed that the aerial interdiction was precise on target at Kusasu, Katerma and Bokko.

The military spokesman said that the military also gathered that about 70 bandits were hit and killed in Kusasu, while others were sighted gathering the remains of their colleagues for burial while others on about 200 motorcycles moved towards Zango.

Gen. Onoja said: “Another group from Bokko were also seen advancing towards Zango apparently to meet their colleagues and perfect their next plan of either retreating or attacking Sarkin Pawa or the government/security infrastructure in Kuchi.

“Other groups were also seen converging on Kopa, East of Mongoro, suggesting a possible plan to attack government/security infrastructure in Mongoro. “The military took necessary steps to neutralise all these threats in a timely manner.”

The military high command said it remains “fully committed” to the protection of all law-abiding citizens and conducts all operations in strict accordance with the rules of engagement and applicable laws.

It urged the media and the public to “exercise restraint and avoid amplifying unverified accounts that serve no purpose other than to embolden criminal elements, undermine troop morale, and erode public confidence in ongoing security operations.”

Sudanese Army Targets RSF Positions in Nyala With Fresh Drone Strikes

May 11, 2026

The Sudanese Armed Forces, on Sunday, May 10, carried out drone strikes on strategic positions held by the RSF (Rapid Support Forces) in Nyala for the second consecutive day, according to local sources.

The attacks reportedly coincided with the presence in the city of RSF commander Mohamed Hamdan Daglo and several senior leaders. Nyala has been designated by the RSF as the capital of its parallel “Foundation Government”.

Sources told Sudan Tribune that at least three explosions were heard in central Nyala, near the international airport and at a site in the Al-Riyadh neighbourhood. An RSF training centre inside the city was also reportedly targeted.

Following the strikes, the RSF allegedly shut down telecommunications services across Nyala, according to sources cited by Al-Hadath TV.

Reports indicate that the RSF has transformed several civilian institutions, including schools and other educational facilities, into assembly and training centres for Sudanese and foreign fighters.

The sites are reportedly being used for combat training, drone operations and air defence exercises.

In September 2024, the RSF reopened Nyala Airport, which has since reportedly received near-daily flights originating from military bases in Chad, Libya and Somaliland.

The facilities are alleged to be under the control of the United Arab Emirates. The Sudanese army has repeatedly targeted the airport in recent months in an effort to disrupt RSF supply routes and military operations.

The Vatican’s UFO And Alien Life Position Comes Into Focus As Attention Turns To Its Observatory’s Collaboration With The “LUCIFER” Infrared Instrument

May 10, 2026

As the United States government continues releasing unprecedented volumes of UAP-related documents through the Trump administration’s Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters — known as PURSUE — attention is now shifting toward an institution that has spent centuries studying the heavens long before modern governments acknowledged UFOs publicly.

The Vatican. For decades, rumors, conspiracy theories, theological debates, and intelligence-linked speculation have swirled around the Catholic Church’s position on extraterrestrial life, UFO phenomena, and whether the Holy See possesses deeper knowledge about non-human intelligence than it has publicly acknowledged.

Now, as disclosure discussions intensify worldwide, the Vatican’s long-documented interest in astronomy, alien life, and cosmic theology is drawing renewed scrutiny from researchers, journalists, theologians, and UFO investigators alike.

And unlike many governments, the Vatican has never entirely dismissed the possibility of extraterrestrial intelligence.

In fact, some of its highest-ranking astronomers have openly stated for years that belief in alien life is not incompatible with Catholic doctrine.

That reality has created one of the most fascinating intersections between religion, science, disclosure politics, and modern UFO lore.

At the center of this discussion is the Vatican Observatory — one of the oldest astronomical research institutions in the world.

Originally founded in the 16th century and formally reorganized under Pope Leo XIII in 1891, the observatory serves as the Vatican’s official astronomical research institution.

Today, its headquarters remain in Castel Gandolfo near Rome, while its advanced research operations also extend into the United States through the Vatican Observatory Research Group in Arizona.

The Vatican’s primary American astronomical installation is the Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope — commonly referred to as the VATT — located atop Mount Graham within the Mount Graham International Observatory complex.

The telescope itself has become legendary within UFO circles.

Not because there is evidence it secretly tracks alien spacecraft, but because conspiracy theories surrounding the Vatican’s Arizona observatory have exploded online for years, particularly after public attention focused on the observatory’s collaboration with the “LUCIFER” infrared instrument — an acronym for the Large Binocular Telescope Near-infrared Utility with Camera and Integral Field Unit for Extragalactic Research.

That name alone fueled endless internet speculation that the Vatican was secretly preparing for extraterrestrial disclosure or monitoring incoming non-human entities.

In reality, the Vatican Observatory has publicly maintained that its mission is scientific, educational, and theological — not paranormal. Still, the Vatican’s public comments regarding alien life have remained remarkably open compared to many religious institutions.

In 2008, Jesuit Father José Gabriel Funes, then director of the Vatican Observatory, publicly stated that belief in extraterrestrial life does not contradict Catholic doctrine.

He famously referred to hypothetical extraterrestrials as “our brothers” within God’s creation and argued that humanity cannot place limits on God’s creative freedom.

Those comments reverberated worldwide.

Suddenly, one of the most powerful religious institutions on Earth was openly acknowledging the possibility that intelligent non-human beings could exist elsewhere in the universe without undermining Christianity.

Years later, Vatican astronomer Brother Guy Consolmagno — one of the Church’s most recognizable scientific voices — further fueled public fascination when he joked that he would baptize an extraterrestrial “if they asked.”

Though intended humorously, the statement became symbolic of the Vatican’s unusually flexible theological posture regarding alien life.

And now, with global disclosure discussions accelerating, the Vatican appears increasingly willing to engage the conversation publicly.

Just days ago, a Vatican parish hosted a public discussion examining UFOs, extraterrestrial intelligence, and modern disclosure movements amid growing attention surrounding newly released U.S. UAP files.

The event reportedly included discussion of military reports, congressional testimony, and longstanding rumors involving Vatican knowledge of UFO-related incidents.

That matters because for decades, UFO lore has repeatedly linked the Vatican to alleged hidden knowledge concerning non-human intelligence.

Among the most persistent stories are claims that Vatican officials were quietly informed about the alleged 1947 Roswell incident. Some theories suggest the Church possesses ancient archives containing references to celestial beings, anomalous aerial phenomena, or entities interpreted throughout history as angels, demons, or divine manifestations.

No credible evidence has publicly proven such claims.

But the speculation persists because the Vatican occupies a uniquely powerful position at the intersection of religion, philosophy, history, and astronomy.

Unlike governments that often frame UAP discussions primarily through national security lenses, the Vatican must confront a different question entirely:

If humanity encounters confirmed non-human intelligence, what would that mean spiritually?

Would extraterrestrials possess souls?

Would they require salvation?

Would they share moral consciousness?

Would humanity remain unique within creation?

These questions are no longer confined to science fiction.

They are now being openly debated by theologians, astronomers, philosophers, and disclosure researchers alike.

The Vatican’s observatory itself reflects this unusual fusion of faith and scientific inquiry.

While many mistakenly assume the Church opposes advanced science, the Vatican Observatory has spent decades contributing to legitimate astronomical research involving cosmology, meteorites, galactic formation, and planetary science.

Its researchers collaborate internationally and regularly publish scientific work.

Yet UFO lore surrounding the Vatican continues growing precisely because the institution studies the cosmos while simultaneously serving as one of the world’s most influential spiritual authorities.

That combination creates enormous symbolic weight.

In disclosure communities, some theorists believe governments may eventually rely on religious institutions to help stabilize public reaction if definitive proof of non-human intelligence emerges.

That speculation intensified after multiple pastors and religious figures recently claimed government-linked discussions involving disclosure preparation had occurred behind closed doors.

No evidence has publicly confirmed coordinated Vatican involvement in such efforts.

But historically, the Vatican has shown far greater willingness than many assume to contemplate extraterrestrial life within a theological framework.

And that openness may become increasingly significant as disclosure narratives evolve.

Because the deeper humanity looks into the UAP phenomenon, the more the discussion appears to move beyond aerospace technology alone.

The conversation is becoming existential. Philosophical. Spiritual. Civilizational. And perhaps that is why the Vatican’s role in this unfolding conversation now feels more important than ever. For centuries, humanity looked to the Church to answer questions about creation itself.

Now, as governments release files discussing unidentified craft, alleged non-human intelligence, and phenomena that challenge humanity’s understanding of reality, one of the world’s oldest religious institutions may once again find itself confronting a question civilization has never fully answered:

If we are not alone, what does that mean for mankind?

Congresswoman Says More Classified UFO Files Are Coming After Years of Government 'Stonewalling'

11 May 2026, 4:23 AM BST

Florida congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has said additional classified files relating to unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) could soon be released following renewed congressional efforts to review government records connected to unexplained sightings and military investigations.

Luna, who chairs the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, made the remarks during a recent Fox News interview after an initial batch of documents and footage was released last week.

She said the task force had requested more than 40 additional files from the Pentagon and expected to receive them within the coming weeks.

The Republican lawmaker also accused multiple federal agencies of delaying or obstructing disclosure efforts connected to UAP investigations.

However, federal agencies including NASA and the Pentagon have repeatedly stated there is no confirmed evidence linking investigated sightings to extraterrestrial activity.

Military Footage and Pentagon Requests

During the interview, Luna said the material released so far included military footage, aircraft observations and previously classified records connected to federal investigations.

She rejected suggestions that the images were AI-generated, stating that many of the files contained official government redactions linked to military or law enforcement sources.

Luna said the task force had specifically requested additional Pentagon documents by name and expected further disclosures following discussions with defence officials.

In a statement posted on social media, Luna described the initial 'tranche' of records as 'a huge step in the right direction', adding that there would be 'much more to come'.

She also claimed lawmakers and whistleblowers had previously faced resistance when attempting to discuss or investigate the issue publicly.

According to Luna, some officials feared professional consequences for speaking about classified programmes or sightings connected to military operations.
