IRS deal exempts Trump family from tax investigations.

 

President Trump and his family have been handed a permanent exemption from further investigation of all past tax affairs by the Department of Justice.

 

The extraordinary waiver was issued as part of the settlement to resolve Trumpโ€™s $10 billion lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) over the leak of his tax returns in 2019.
