Ukrainian drone hits Moscow-Crimea passenger train – governor
8 Jun, 2026 01:47 | Updated 8 Jun, 2026 06:06
A Ukrainian UAV attack on a passenger train in Crimea has left one person dead and another injured, regional Governor Sergey Aksyonov has said.
The train was traveling between Moscow and Simferopol when the locomotive was hit by an “enemy drone,” Aksyonov wrote on Telegram early Monday.
“According to preliminary information, the train driver was injured, the assistant driver was killed, and none of the passengers were hurt,” he said.
Aksyonov expressed condolences to the friends and family of the deceased crew member and wished the injured driver a speedy recovery.
Bus transportation for the train’s passengers is currently being arranged, Aksyonov said, adding that the authorities will provide all necessary assistance.
Following the incident, operator Grand Service Express temporarily suspended services in Crimea, adding that all passengers on its trains on the peninsula were evacuated.
The attack comes days after eight people were killed and 11 others injured in a Ukrainian strike on a passenger bus traveling from Moscow to Simferopol through the Donetsk People’s Republic on Wednesday.
On Thursday, a Ukrainian UAV struck a suburban train traveling between Azovskoye and Kerch, Crimea, leaving one passenger dead and several others injured.
Moscow previously warned that it would carry out “systematic and consistent strikes” on Ukraine’s military infrastructure, including drone production facilities, command posts, and “decision-making centers,” in response to Kiev’s terrorist attacks.
These included an attack on a college dormitory in the town of Starobelsk in the Lugansk People’s Republic, which killed 21 people, mostly teenage girls, and injured 70 others.
Last week, Russian forces launched another large-scale missile and drone barrage, targeting defense industry sites in Kiev, parts of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions still under Ukrainian control, as well as locations in Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Khmelnitsky, and Sumy Regions, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

Ukraine’s FP-1 Drone Strikes Russian Airfield Hosting UAV Development Center, Video
Updated Jun 08, 2026 16:27
A Ukrainian long-range FP-1 drone struck infrastructure at Russia’s Protasovo airfield in the Ryazan region, according to materials published by the Telegram channel Dossier of a Spy and geolocation analysis released by Dnipro OSINT on June 8.
According to Dnipro OSINT, the strike targeted hangars associated with a research and production center involved in the development and manufacture of unmanned aerial vehicles operating on the airfield’s territory.
The extent of the damage has not been independently confirmed.
Geolocation analysis published by Dnipro OSINT compared footage of the strike with satellite imagery of Protasovo airfield.
According to the analysis, visible landmarks, aircraft parking areas, and hangar structures in the video matched locations on the airfield. Additional imagery published by the analyst showed the drone’s likely flight path toward the hangar area near the runway.
Video circulated by Dossier of a Spy appears to show a drone flying over the airfield before an explosion near several hangars. A voice heard in the footage says, “It hit the drone operators.”
According to reports cited by Dnipro OSINT, the attack was carried out using a Ukrainian-made FP-1 long-range strike drone developed by Fire Point. The target is located more than 500 kilometers from Ukrainian-controlled territory.
The FP-1 was publicly unveiled by Ukraine’s Ministry of Strategic Industries in 2025. The drone is designed for long-range strikes against targets deep inside Russia and is reported to have a maximum range of up to 1,600 kilometers while carrying a warhead weighing up to 120 kilograms, depending on mission requirements.
Earlier, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that Ukraine’s Deep Strike operations targeted 111 Russian military-industrial, energy, and fuel infrastructure facilities in May, causing an estimated $1.06 billion in direct and indirect economic losses, including coordinated strikes on targets in and around Moscow.

Khamenei, IRGC, Iranian military communication lines disrupted, source tells anti-regime outlet
Iran International reported that missile launches toward Israel may have been carried out under pre-established protocols without coordination with Khamenei’s office.
Communication lines between Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei and other Iranian officials have been disrupted since Sunday night, according to information obtained by the anti-regime London-based outlet Iran International.
A source familiar with the escalation, including Iran launching missiles towards Israel on Sunday night and Monday morning, said that the launches were likely carried out under "pre-established military protocols without coordination with Khamenei's office," Iran International reported.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' response to Israel's strike on Dahiyeh in southern Beirut appeared to be too rapid to have followed an exchange of messages between Khamenei and the IRGC and military chiefs, the source added.
Khamenei was severely wounded during Israeli strikes on Tehran on February 28 at the start of Operation Roaring Lion.

David Grusch Returns To Capitol Steps As UFO Disclosure Fight Moves From Testimony To Action
June 8, 2026
Washington is about to become the center of the UFO disclosure fight again.
On Tuesday, June 9 at 1:00 p.m., David Grusch, James Fox, Leslie Kean, bipartisan lawmakers, whistleblowers, journalists, and filmmakers are expected to gather on the steps of the U.S. Capitol to demand the release of UFO and UAP-related files.
The event is being framed as a direct call for declassification, stronger whistleblower protections, and passage of disclosure-related legislation.
Grusch, the former intelligence officer who previously testified under oath before Congress, is expected to discuss non-human intelligence-related evidence he says he encountered through classified channels.
According to the event announcement, Grusch will argue that such records should be reviewed and released publicly, subject to legitimate national security protections.
The gathering will reportedly include Rep. Eric Burlison, Rep. Jared Moskowitz, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, and Rep. Tim Burchett, with Leslie Kean and filmmaker James Fox hosting the event.
The legal significance is enormous. If these files exist, the question is no longer whether the public is curious. The question is whether classified programs, intelligence gatekeepers, or private contractors have operated beyond meaningful congressional oversight.
That is why this moment matters. Grusch’s claims already moved the UAP issue from internet speculation into sworn congressional testimony. Tuesday’s Capitol event appears designed to push the next step: documents, records, files, names, programs, and accountability.
The central issue is simple: national security can justify secrecy, but it cannot become a permanent shield for unlawful concealment, misappropriated taxpayer funds, or obstruction of Congress.

Jeremy Corbell Issues UFO Warning: Release Reverse-Engineering and Non-Human Biologics Files — or I Will
June 8, 2026
The war over government UFO secrecy may be entering its most explosive phase yet.
Investigative filmmaker Jeremy Corbell has issued what many are interpreting as a direct challenge to the U.S. government: either begin disclosing what officials know about alleged UFO crash retrieval programs, reverse-engineering efforts, and non-human biologics—or risk the release of what Corbell suggests could be hundreds of undisclosed files.
The statement has sent shockwaves through the UFO disclosure community and reignited one of the most consequential questions facing Congress, intelligence agencies, and the American public: If the government possesses evidence of non-human technology, does the public have a right to know?
And if someone outside the government possesses proof, do they have a legal—or even moral—obligation to release it?
Corbell's warning was unmistakable.
"If they don't come out with the next drop having to do with reverse engineering, non-human intelligence craft, and if they don't address or begin to address biologics," Corbell said, "then they saw in Sleeping Dog the file systems."
He further suggested that whatever information exists is no longer confined to a small group of researchers.
"That's not just in my hands anymore, that's not just in George Knapp's."
The comments appear to reference a substantial collection of files allegedly connected to long-standing claims that elements of the U.S. government have recovered unidentified craft and attempted to reverse engineer advanced technologies.
Corbell's remarks also directly invoked the testimony of former intelligence officer David Grusch, whose 2023 congressional testimony transformed the UFO debate from fringe speculation into a matter of national discussion.
"David Grusch went up in front of Congress with his hand to the country, to the globe, and to whatever he believes in and he told the truth," Corbell stated.
Grusch testified under oath that he had been informed of decades-long crash retrieval and reverse-engineering programs involving technology of allegedly non-human origin. He further claimed that biological evidence associated with recovered craft existed.
To date, no publicly released evidence has independently verified those extraordinary allegations.
Nevertheless, Grusch's testimony remains one of the most significant whistleblower claims ever presented to Congress regarding unidentified anomalous phenomena, commonly known as UAPs.
Now Corbell appears to be signaling that additional evidence may exist outside official channels.
If true, the implications could be historic. But they could also be legally perilous. The legality of any potential release depends almost entirely on how the materials were obtained.
If Corbell or other journalists lawfully received documents from sources and did not participate in any unlawful acquisition, they would likely enjoy significant protections under the First Amendment.
The Supreme Court established a powerful precedent during the historical event of the Pentagon Papers, when the government attempted to block publication of classified documents concerning the Vietnam War.
The Court ultimately ruled against prior restraint, allowing publication to proceed.
That decision created one of the strongest protections for investigative journalism in American history.
In practical terms, the source who unlawfully removes classified information may face criminal consequences, while the journalist who receives and publishes the information generally occupies a different legal position.
That distinction has long served as a cornerstone of American press freedom. However, the analysis becomes far more complicated if classified information, intelligence methods, or national defense secrets are involved.
Federal prosecutors could potentially examine whether publication reveals sensitive military capabilities, intelligence collection methods, classified technologies, or information protected under national security statutes.
1/2
The government could also investigate whether anyone involved in the dissemination process participated in unauthorized access, theft, hacking, or improper handling of classified materials.
Such inquiries would likely focus on the chain of custody surrounding the documents rather than solely on the act of publication itself.
Yet the legal questions may ultimately pale in comparison to the political fallout.
If Corbell were to release hundreds of files that appeared authentic and supported claims made by Grusch, Congress could face unprecedented pressure to launch new investigations, issue subpoenas, and demand answers from defense contractors, intelligence agencies, and military officials.
Lawmakers who have championed greater transparency—including members of both political parties—would likely call for emergency hearings.
The Department of Defense could find itself confronting renewed scrutiny over decades of alleged secrecy.
Meanwhile, public trust in government institutions could face another significant test. The stakes are enormous because the allegations extend far beyond unidentified objects in the sky.
The claims involve alleged reverse-engineering programs, potential technological breakthroughs, hidden special-access programs, and the possibility that information of extraordinary significance has been withheld from elected officials and the public for generations.
If those claims are false, releasing unsupported materials could damage the credibility of the disclosure movement. If those claims are true, the ramifications would be far more profound.
Questions would immediately arise regarding congressional oversight, government accountability, classification abuse, contractor involvement, and whether information of historic importance was intentionally concealed from the American people.
This is where the debate moves beyond UFOs. At its core, the controversy centers on transparency versus secrecy.
National security officials traditionally argue that certain information must remain classified to protect intelligence sources, military capabilities, and strategic advantages.
Disclosure advocates argue that secrecy cannot become a permanent shield against public accountability—especially when allegations involve programs operating outside meaningful oversight.
Corbell's latest comments place those competing interests on a collision course. Whether his alleged files contain groundbreaking evidence, routine government records, or something in between remains unknown.
What is known is that pressure for answers continues to grow.
For years, disclosure advocates have been told that more information is coming.
Congressional hearings have been held. Whistleblowers have testified. Investigations have been announced.
Yet many of the most controversial questions remain unanswered.
Do crash retrieval programs exist? Have governments attempted to reverse engineer recovered technologies?
Do records exist concerning non-human biologics? And if officials possess definitive answers, why has the public not seen the evidence?
Jeremy Corbell's warning suggests patience within the disclosure movement may be running out. If the government possesses the truth, he argues, the time has come to tell it.
Whether Washington agrees may determine whether the next chapter of the UFO disclosure saga unfolds through official transparency—or through one of the most consequential leaks in modern American history.

Steven Spielberg Confirms He Believes Aliens Are Real, Active, and Already on Earth
08 June 2026, 1:58 PM BST
The director explains how a childhood meteor shower, his mother's scepticism about human exceptionalism and the smartphone era have hardened his conviction that we are not alone.
Steven Spielberg has said during an interview on CBS Sunday Morning in New York on 6 June that he believes aliens 'have been here, and they are here', as he promoted his new film Disclosure Day.
The 79-year-old director linked the remark to decades of thinking about UFOs, UAPs and the wider question of whether humans are alone.
Spielberg has been circling the subject for nearly half a century through films such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and War of the Worlds.
'I Absolutely Think That They Have Been Here, And They Are Here'
Asked directly on Sunday Morning whether he thought aliens had visited Earth and might still be here now, Spielberg did not hedge or hide behind the usual 'I want to believe' stuff.
'Based on the circumstantial evidence of everything that I've gathered throughout my whole life, everybody I've listened to and every documentary I've ever watched and all the testimonies in Congress that I've heard, I absolutely think that they have been here, and they are here,' he said. 'And who knows, maybe they've always been here.'
The remark came after he cheerfully admitted that, despite a lifetime of making films about extraterrestrials, he has never had a paranormal experience himself.
'Isn't that terrible?' he laughed. 'I deserve that! I deserve a sighting. Ben, I need a sighting. I mean, I'm an ambassador to these guys, and they haven't shown themselves to me? I don't get that.'
How 'Disclosure Day' Turns His Obsession Into A Thriller
The new film, Disclosure Day, is Spielberg's latest attempt to imagine what full‑blown contact would do to us.
He has called it a kind of bookend to Close Encounters, which ends with the arrival of benevolent visitors. This time, the premise is that someone decides to blow the lid off a vast, decades‑long cover‑up.
'"Disclosure Day" is about how, if somebody had the power and if somebody had possession of the entire archive of visual evidence of what's been happening for the last 80 years, what would happen if they decided to do a data dump across the entire world all at once?' Spielberg explained in the CBS interview. 'And the people who are trying to stop that data dump from happening, that is basically the core of this chase movie.'
1/2
He describes it as part chase film, part 1970s political thriller and part big‑tech conspiracy, built for an age of low trust in institutions.
The story follows Josh O'Connor as a whistleblower on the run from government officials after threatening to release proof of alien life, and Emily Blunt as a Kansas City meteorologist whose life is upended by unexplained abilities and otherworldly communication.
'The movie takes the position of the believers, or the curious, the ones that have been deeply affected by this,' Spielberg said.
He also leans into the religious shockwaves such a revelation might cause, asking on CBS: 'Is God our God only on this planet? Or is God a god for every system where there's civilisation and intelligent life, and even developing life?'
A Lifelong Fascination That Began Under A Meteor Shower
Spielberg has been circling these questions since childhood. He traces his fixation on the sky to a night in New Jersey, around the age of five or six, when his father woke him in the middle of the night and drove him to a park to watch the Perseids meteor shower.
'I remember how shocked I was,' he said. 'But I also remember seeing these points of light darting across the sky. And I just remember thinking that was one of the most extraordinary things I had ever seen.'
At home, the bathroom was famously piled high with science‑fiction magazines. 'Oh my God, because that is what my father read!
Galaxy, Analog, and Amazing Stories, those three periodicals – and our bathroom was piled high … this high with these magazines!' he recalled to CBS.
His mother, Leah Adler, pushed him to think beyond Earth. 'She always said, "Let's not be conceited to think that we're the only intelligent life in the universe," ' he told USA Today.
When he protested that humans were 'pretty smart', she would shoot back: 'No, there's got to be a lot more we can learn if we open up our hearts and minds.'
'Ultimately, my mom was a champion of encouraging me to probe the unknown,' he said.
From 'Science Speculation' To A World Drowning In UFO Footage
When Spielberg made Close Encounters of the Third Kind, he says he needed 'a lot of imagination.' He believed there was other life out there, but was not sure it had ever visited Earth. He categorised that film not as science fiction but 'science speculation.'
Half a century on, his language has shifted. Since the early 2000s, he argues, the explosion of camera phones and online sharing has changed the landscape.
'There's been more and more access to the actual visual truth,' he told USA Today. 'We're able to confirm our belief by showing what we shot on our devices to other people.
It's just become overwhelming to me that we're not alone in the universe.'
He also thinks audiences are more ready than ever for a story like Disclosure Day. 'I can't speak for the entire audience, but there are certain things that unite us,' he said.
'One of the things that unites us, one of the places we can find common ground, is our united belief that the extraordinary is possible, and the impossible is possible.
And I think UAP, UFO, the whole phenomenon is something that everybody across any spectrum – culturally, politically – can agree on,' he added.
Steven Spielberg has spent nearly 50 years putting alien life on screen, from the wonderstruck family drama of Close Encounters in 1977 to the darker invasion story of War of the Worlds.
In recent interviews with CBS and USA Today, he has been revisiting that back catalogue while promoting Disclosure Day, which opens in cinemas on 12 June and imagines what would happen if definitive proof of extraterrestrial life was suddenly dumped online for the entire world to see.
