UAP forum will let public hear from lawmakers, whistleblowers on disclosure

This Thursday, nearly two dozen lawmakers, former intelligence officials, researchers, and whistleblowers will come together for a first-of-its-kind forum on UAP disclosure and its implications.
The event, called Disclosure Forum 2026, is taking place in Washington, D.C. The theme, “Humanity at the Edge of Discovery,” will guide panels, presentations, and roundtables with congressional lawmakers, as well as discussions on security, defense, and policy.
Featured speakers include U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., U.S. Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo., and U.S. Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn.
Disclosure Foundation board members Professor Avi Loeb and Mike Gold will also speak. Both joined NewsNation to discuss this week’s event. “There are few issues that can unite humanity like UAP,” Gold told NewsNation’s Hena Doba on Sunday.
“So, at this forum this week, you’re going to see leading Republicans, leading Democrats coming together to look at this issue that, by the way, has robust bipartisan support among the public …
And the event coming up this week will be a demand for transparency, for accountability and the truth.”
According to a poll conducted by the Disclosure Foundation, 89% of Republicans and 88% of Democrats want more information released about UAP.
UAP a ‘national security issue,’ Gold says
One issue many point to is the potential risks posed by UAP — and whether they should be viewed as emerging threats.
“UAP is not just a science issue, not just humanity — it’s a national security issue,” Gold said. “We must take UAP seriously, and we must get past that stigma, not just for scientific advancement, but also for national security reasons.”
“If we are dealing with drones as being these orbs that were not identified,” Loeb said on “NewsNation Prime” on Sunday, “then we are facing technologies that are not understood by the Pentagon, the intelligence agencies, and we need to figure it out.”
Loeb was recently appointed by the White House to lead the new UAP Science Advisory Council. The team will assist the federal government in determining the nature of UAP.
“That’s why resources need to be allocated to further research on the existing data, but also collecting new data that will be clearer,” he said.
Not every council member is a UAP believer
Not everyone on the advisory council believes in UAP. Loeb said he intentionally included a skeptic to help avoid bias in the group’s research.
“If he starts from a different view than many of us have and, by the end of the process, sides with us,” Loeb said, “that would indicate we accomplished our mission and reached robust conclusions.”
To show there are no hard feelings, Loeb said they even have a wager.
“I have a bet with this skeptic that by 2030 we will figure out the nature of UAP and that they might be extraterrestrial in origin,” he said.
Advisory Council findings to remain unclassified
Some have questioned how much transparency the UAP Advisory Council will provide, given that it works with the Pentagon, a Defense Department entity that has been accused of withholding UAP information for decades. Loeb said the public will have access to the council’s findings.
“All the information that will be processed by the council will be unclassified,” he said. “This council brings together an exceptional group of brilliant people. I know each of them personally, and I can guarantee to you that we’ll do our best to justify the trust that the public gives us.”
One set of data the group is expected to review is within NASA archives. A transcript recently released by the Department of Defense details Apollo 17 astronauts’ accounts of observing UAP during three periods in 1972.
“We need to go through those NASA archives,” Gold said. “I think there’s a treasure trove of data and imagery like this that could not only help unlock the mystery of UAP but provide some incredible scientific advancement as well.”
While the transcript was part of the Pentagon’s third batch of previously unreleased UAP files this year, some critics say it’s not enough. Gold disagrees.
“This is what winning looks like for disclosure, for transparency, and kudos to everyone in Congress who’s making this happen,” he said.

James Franco Returns to Social Media With Bizarre ‘Alien’ Videos

James Franco is back on the internet…but instead of making a Hollywood comeback, the once “canceled” actor has left social media users scratching their heads.
The actor quietly launched a TikTok account, @jamesfranco2319, on June 3, posting a string of cryptic videos in which he repeatedly insists he’s “really James Franco,” claims he’s not promoting anything, and promises followers he’ll soon reveal “some crazy stuff.”
After years away from the spotlight, the actor has launched a TikTok account that has left fans questioning whether they’re watching a publicity stunt or something else entirely
“I know, I maybe seem crazy,” Franco says in one video. “I can’t say too much right now… I just need you to follow me, then I’ll know who’s down, and I’m going to show you some crazy stuff.”
In later videos (June 17), Franco references mysterious “alien friends” and suggests strange events are unfolding, even claiming something is “not human” in his garage. He swears “it’s not a bit.”
In another clip, Franco is visited by friends doing a “wellness check” who ask if he’s “working with Spielberg on something,” theorizing a nod to the latest UFO-themed film Disclosure Day (since Franco has referenced extraterrestrials).
While some viewers initially questioned whether the videos were generated with AI, Franco tried to authenticate the account by holding up a handwritten sign displaying his TikTok username and performing gestures he jokingly suggested AI couldn’t replicate.
But now many TikTok users believe the videos were planned and filmed well before they were posted, pointing to several things they say don’t line up.
One cited example involves the later and aforementioned “wellness check” video in which Franco says he has “read the comments.”
Viewers argued that would be impossible because the footage seems to have been recorded on the same day as the earlier videos (meaning the comments were still coming in).
They point to the same clothing, lighting, camera angles, and background details that remain consistent across multiple uploads.
Others have also noted that several videos contain jump cuts, graphics, and editing effects that appear unusually professional for someone supposedly creating a TikTok account for the first time.
Franco has somewhat remained out of the public eye since 2018, when multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct.
He has denied many of the allegations but acknowledged in later interviews that he had engaged in inappropriate behavior and settled a civil lawsuit brought by former acting students without admitting wrongdoing.
The controversy effectively ended his long-running collaboration and friendship with actor Seth Rogen, who has publicly said he no longer plans to work with Franco.
Whether Franco’s videos are the beginning of a documentary or scripted social media experiment, or he’s taking advantage of the public’s current interest in UFOs and aliens… remains unclear.
So far, he’s offered no explanation beyond repeatedly insisting that what viewers are seeing is “real.”

If Nephila means Orion, Nephilim likely means:
"Those of Orion" / "Orionites" / "Descendants of Orion"
Ancient Egyptians identified Orion with Osiris and the Great Pyramids of Giza are aligned with Orion's Belt.
Some Hebrew traditions associated Orion with Kesil (“the mighty one”), mentioned in the Book of Job and Amos.
Syriac and Aramaic traditions linked Orion with giants and heroic figures, including traditions surrounding Nimrod.
And in the UFO subject the Orion Star System has come up countless times across the decades as a point of origin for intelligences behind modern day experiences.
