I created a visual chart of how it actually exists with line numbers.

SOme more information on what "VS15" is:

In the posts UTF-8 bytes, every one of those 69 invisible marks is the 3-byte sequence EF B8 8E.

More context on what it is: U+FE0E is the "text presentation selector", one of 16 variation selectors (U+FE00–U+FE0F). Its sibling U+FE0F (VS16, decimal 65039) is the famous one, the "emoji presentation selector" that forces emoji to render in color. VS15 does the opposite: forces the preceding character to render as plain monochrome text. Here they're orphaned (nothing precedes them), so they're just invisible payload.
