In aperiod of blazing heat and no rain, all the grass, the trees and the flora and forna died off. The grass golden like crisp hay, the trees bereft of leaves and the lakes dry. Then comes the rain week after week nonstop torrential downpour. Where there was hade the leaves had died. Where there was grass lay only wet mud. Then came the tremors. Not strong enough to take down a building but strong enough to turn the mud to a watery death.
