So I teased something last night, but before I do “the reveal” (later in this post) it deserves a little bit of history.

In late 2023 I got “back into the game”. In mid 2024 God put a path in front of me. Since thenI’ve been quietly working behind the scenes on quite a few things, many of which are oriented towards the trafficking industry.

I say this because many criticize a number of us for being “only online” or not taking action.

In my case I don’t advertise a great many things I do because I tend to be private by default.

Today is a large step for me to get even more involved in a community of people devoted to a very specific issue.

To those who saw my post last night - here is your answer.

I’m currently attending the DHS anti trafficking symposium in Washington DC.

My goal here is more knowledge to help me in what I am already doing.

I’m also meeting others that have similar goals and finding ways to help these groups.

So far we’ve heard from numerous people including several DHS CCHT task force directors about what’s going on to combat trafficking. As a named group within DHS the CCHT (countering human trafficking) was born in 2020.

I’m currently sitting in a breakout session that covers predictive analytics and trauma informed processes being used to disrupt human trafficking.

So far I’ve been pleased without the amount and types of data being shared.
