Last week I said it looked like we could be stealing about $11 billion from Venezuela. The question I had after learning that was, if it isn't going back to Venezuela, where is it going? So I followed the money.

Treasury's own data shows about $11 billion more than normal flowing into the State Department's account since February. Venezuela's records show $300 million coming back.

Venezuela has to ask Washington's permission to spend its own oil money. A State Department official told Congress, "It's their money, but … they have to get our permission." An emergency order blocks every American court from touching it, so the creditors Venezuela owes, most of them American, get nothing.

So who does get paid? The Pentagon took a 35 percent stake in an oil company owned by Alejandro Betancourt, who got rich on Maduro-era contracts. The Miami money laundering investigation into him was closed while that deal came together, though the Justice Department denies ordering it closed. A Venezuelan-born banker facing 20 years got a pardon after $3.5 million went to the president's super PAC in his daughter's name. And in 2012, Betancourt was in Jeffrey Epstein's inbox, copied on a Venezuelan oil pitch.

Last week I asked if we were stealing from Venezuela. After following the money further, I think the better question is who "we" is, because it isn't you and me. It's a small circle of people close to this White House who are getting paid out of another country's oil money, while the Treasury Secretary tells Congress he can't give out a number I found in 15 minutes.

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Law enforcement leaders from more than 20 agencies across the greater Lynchburg area announced the results of Operation United Resolve today. Between August 1, 2026, and August 31, 2026, law enforcement officers from 21 partner agencies arrested 140 fugitives and executed 316 warrants. The operation resulted in the seizure of more than 600 grams of cocaine, 25 grams of fentanyl, 212 grams of MDMA, and 30 grams of methamphetamine. The quantity of fentanyl seized during the operation was enough to result in over 10,000 fatal overdoses.

The US and Israel: A ‘Special Relationship’ Built on Lies and Deceit

Israel has shown in the past eight decades that it will stop at nothing to achieve the full-spectrum domination it wants in West Asia.

Globally, Israel is advancing on so many fronts it is hard to know where to begin but perhaps Israel’s position as one of the most dangerous states in history is a starting point. It is brutal, inhumane, lives by no laws and standards but its own yet remains indulged by its ‘western’ sponsors whatever it does, the ‘whatever’ including genocide in Gaza and the fast developing genocide in the West Bank.

Israel’s crimes are aimed at women, children, journalists, ambulance drivers, doctors, nurses, entire hospitals, libraries, schools, universities, suburban homes, cemeteries, farms, greenhouses and fishing boats.

The targets can be children shot after going outside to play or throw a stone at a tank and left to ‘bleed out’ where they lie. No ambulance is ever called. The soldiers stand around chatting while the boy or the wounded adult dies. If this happened once, it would be bad, but it is standard behavior by the occupying forces. The wounded are deliberately left to die, often for trivial offenses or no offense at all, because the regime wants them dead.

The targets include elderly women harassed and spat at in Hebron, villagers shot or beaten by heavily armed hoodlums, mosques and homes ruined in arson attacks, olive groves that are chopped down and flocks of sheep and goats that are stolen.

All of this happens because the regime wants it to happen. It is planned policy. The regime wants all Palestinians either dead or driven out of their land. The correspondence with the UN genocide convention of 1948 is word-for-word.

The convention lists the crimes as the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group; the killing its members or causing serious bodily or mental harm to them; the deliberate infliction of conditions of life calculated to bring about the group’s physical destruction; and measures taken and the intent to prevent childbirth.

All that is missing is what Israel has added, which is advertising the intent to commit genocide in advance.

The Israel military is a genocidal military. Every soldier is complicit, which is why the Australian government’s decision to allow up to 40 active or reserve Israeli soldiers into Australia to run the Sydney marathon is such an aggravated violation of the genocide convention and a deliberate provocation of Australia’s million Muslims, including many of Palestinian and Lebanese ethnic origin whose families have been murdered in Israeli attacks on their land and their villages. The Australian government apparently did not take their interests into account, but it might when election time comes.

On the occupied West Bank, settler psychopaths are armed by the state and funded by Zionist ‘charities’ in distant countries. They now wear the uniforms of the military themselves. They commit their crimes knowing that they have the full protection of the state and will not be prosecuted for whatever they do.

The young teenage ‘hilltop youth’ amongst them are full of the hate bred into them by their families, their education and their government’s racist policies. They curse, kick and spit in the face of Palestinian villagers, knowing they have the same immunity as their elders.

This is the Israeli ‘state’ in action, which is why it is only accurate to describe it as a gangster regime. The theft of land, the killing or beating of villagers, the arson and destruction of crops, the piping of settlement waste onto village land are all part of the historic drive to destroy Palestine and kill or drive out its people.

It is not just Palestine, of course. Anyone living on land the Zionist regime wants is destined to suffer the same fate as the Palestinians and – in increasing numbers – the Lebanese. Close to 1200 Lebanese civilians have been killed just since March 2026, including hundreds of healthcare workers and children.
