Last week I said it looked like we could be stealing about $11 billion from Venezuela. The question I had after learning that was, if it isn't going back to Venezuela, where is it going? So I followed the money.

Treasury's own data shows about $11 billion more than normal flowing into the State Department's account since February. Venezuela's records show $300 million coming back.

Venezuela has to ask Washington's permission to spend its own oil money. A State Department official told Congress, "It's their money, but … they have to get our permission." An emergency order blocks every American court from touching it, so the creditors Venezuela owes, most of them American, get nothing.

So who does get paid? The Pentagon took a 35 percent stake in an oil company owned by Alejandro Betancourt, who got rich on Maduro-era contracts. The Miami money laundering investigation into him was closed while that deal came together, though the Justice Department denies ordering it closed. A Venezuelan-born banker facing 20 years got a pardon after $3.5 million went to the president's super PAC in his daughter's name. And in 2012, Betancourt was in Jeffrey Epstein's inbox, copied on a Venezuelan oil pitch.

Last week I asked if we were stealing from Venezuela. After following the money further, I think the better question is who "we" is, because it isn't you and me. It's a small circle of people close to this White House who are getting paid out of another country's oil money, while the Treasury Secretary tells Congress he can't give out a number I found in 15 minutes.

The US and Israel: A ‘Special Relationship’ Built on Lies and Deceit

Israel has shown in the past eight decades that it will stop at nothing to achieve the full-spectrum domination it wants in West Asia.

Globally, Israel is advancing on so many fronts it is hard to know where to begin but perhaps Israel’s position as one of the most dangerous states in history is a starting point. It is brutal, inhumane, lives by no laws and standards but its own yet remains indulged by its ‘western’ sponsors whatever it does, the ‘whatever’ including genocide in Gaza and the fast developing genocide in the West Bank.

Israel’s crimes are aimed at women, children, journalists, ambulance drivers, doctors, nurses, entire hospitals, libraries, schools, universities, suburban homes, cemeteries, farms, greenhouses and fishing boats.

The targets can be children shot after going outside to play or throw a stone at a tank and left to ‘bleed out’ where they lie. No ambulance is ever called. The soldiers stand around chatting while the boy or the wounded adult dies. If this happened once, it would be bad, but it is standard behavior by the occupying forces. The wounded are deliberately left to die, often for trivial offenses or no offense at all, because the regime wants them dead.

The targets include elderly women harassed and spat at in Hebron, villagers shot or beaten by heavily armed hoodlums, mosques and homes ruined in arson attacks, olive groves that are chopped down and flocks of sheep and goats that are stolen.

All of this happens because the regime wants it to happen. It is planned policy. The regime wants all Palestinians either dead or driven out of their land. The correspondence with the UN genocide convention of 1948 is word-for-word.

The convention lists the crimes as the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group; the killing its members or causing serious bodily or mental harm to them; the deliberate infliction of conditions of life calculated to bring about the group’s physical destruction; and measures taken and the intent to prevent childbirth.

All that is missing is what Israel has added, which is advertising the intent to commit genocide in advance.

The Israel military is a genocidal military. Every soldier is complicit, which is why the Australian government’s decision to allow up to 40 active or reserve Israeli soldiers into Australia to run the Sydney marathon is such an aggravated violation of the genocide convention and a deliberate provocation of Australia’s million Muslims, including many of Palestinian and Lebanese ethnic origin whose families have been murdered in Israeli attacks on their land and their villages. The Australian government apparently did not take their interests into account, but it might when election time comes.

On the occupied West Bank, settler psychopaths are armed by the state and funded by Zionist ‘charities’ in distant countries. They now wear the uniforms of the military themselves. They commit their crimes knowing that they have the full protection of the state and will not be prosecuted for whatever they do.

The young teenage ‘hilltop youth’ amongst them are full of the hate bred into them by their families, their education and their government’s racist policies. They curse, kick and spit in the face of Palestinian villagers, knowing they have the same immunity as their elders.

This is the Israeli ‘state’ in action, which is why it is only accurate to describe it as a gangster regime. The theft of land, the killing or beating of villagers, the arson and destruction of crops, the piping of settlement waste onto village land are all part of the historic drive to destroy Palestine and kill or drive out its people.

It is not just Palestine, of course. Anyone living on land the Zionist regime wants is destined to suffer the same fate as the Palestinians and – in increasing numbers – the Lebanese. Close to 1200 Lebanese civilians have been killed just since March 2026, including hundreds of healthcare workers and children.

“Once a drone fell near our home,” recalled a resident* of El Obeid in Sudan’s North Kordofan.

“It hit several of our neighbours, although we were not affected, but the situation was horrible. We could not sleep for days, we were afraid that another drone would fall, we kept looking at the sky to check.”

As the annual meeting of global leaders at the United Nations gets underway, the El Obeid resident appealed, “Conflict must stop inside cities. Arms must be banned inside cities. Attacks against civilians and civilian areas must stop.”

Drone warfare has become a leading cause of civilian death in some armed conflicts. In the first four months of this year, drone strikes accounted for 80 per cent of recorded civilian deaths (at least 880 lives) in Sudan.

Last year, armed drones were a leading cause of recorded civilian death (577 deaths) and injury in 2025 in Ukraine. July was the deadliest month for civilians in Ukraine in more than four years, with at least, 437 people killed and more than 2,600 injured.

The use of armed drones – and the human toll they exact – has expanded in countries such as Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Haiti, Lebanon, Mali, Myanmar, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Somalia, Syria and Yemen.

Drone-related attacks globally increased by at least 4,000 per cent between 2020 and 2024.

Living in constant fear

Struggling from the devastation of ongoing fighting, people living in these countries now live in constant fear of drone strikes.

OCHA’s acting head of office in DRC, Alain Ouattara, said, "Families in eastern DRC have fled two and three times already.

Now they tell us they lie awake listening for drones, because explosive weapons are landing near the sites, clinics and markets where they sheltered; there is nowhere left that counts as having escaped.”

According to an OCHA staff account, for people in Kherson, a front-line city in southern Ukraine, basements and underground shelters have become places to sleep, gather and find safety.

The El Obeid resident in Sudan underlined the impact of drone warfare on their lives every day.

“A while ago gas stations were struck, there was no public transport, people started to walk everywhere. It struck a water station and it impacted water supply. They also struck power stations, it impacted power supply, we only get power for not more than three hours.”

The situation is as precarious in parts of Myanmar.

According to Gwyn Lewis, Humanitarian Coordinator for Myanmar, “… civilians and aid workers continue to face an evolving conflict with severe humanitarian consequences.

“The growing use of drones, paramotors, and emerging technologies is adding to the loss of life. This is affecting communities and the routes people use to access safety and to access assistance.”

According to UN experts, the constant presence of drones overhead, the distinctive sound, and proximity create a pervasive sense of fear and uncertainty, causing significant psychological distress.

Drones pose a growing threat to aid and medical workers

Drones are increasingly exposing aid workers to harm and hampering their ability to safely access people in need and carry out humanitarian operations.

In 2025, at least 35 aid workers were killed by drones more than double from the previous year. “Aid workers should be able to reach people in need safely, rapidly, and effectively,” underlined Lewis.

Drone-delivered explosives have also damaged buildings essential to humanitarian operations and medical care, including hospitals, internally displaced and refugee camps, food distribution points, and aid offices or warehouses.

The El Obeid resident, who works both as a medical and social worker, recounted, “You will be in the hospital and afraid to be struck.”

Armed drones may look like the ones being used for humanitarian purposes – for instance to capture data or gain situational awareness.

There is a risk these devices may be confused, resulting in possibly compromising the safety of humanitarian personnel and the people they serve.

Actions needed

To ensure the protection of civilians, including aid workers, the UN and partners have been highlighting the humanitarian consequences of armed drones and the action required.

All parties must respect international law, including international humanitarian and human rights, in the use of armed drones.

States must withhold arms transfers where there is a clear risk that the arms will be used to commit serious violations of international humanitarian law or human rights.

OCHA’s DRC head Ouattara explained, “The technology is new. The obligations are not, and they do not change depending on which weapon is used or which conflict is in the headlines.

Officials expected the object to be an unidentified foreign surveillance asset such as a rogue top-secret deep-atmosphere weather balloon. Case files were immediately routed to the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA for verification.

The reality

The investigation ceased just six days later. On November 20, 1963, American Consul Harold Midkiff confirmed in official correspondence that the incident was completely fabricated.

When investigators, journalists and local military attachments landed in Conde, they found no evidence of the sphere or the 13-foot crater.

The files also contain records of a formal denial issued by Brazil’s Ministry of Aeronautics. Moreover, the Brazilian military also ran an internal radar and airspace sweep and confirmed that there had been no airspace violation.

The declassified files provide an interesting insight into how misinformation was historically handled. Without satellite imagery or the internet, the global intelligence community relied on fragmented chains of communicated.

Another newly released incident report describes six small spherical objects over the Middle East that appeared lively and repeatedly changed direction. The incident remains unexplained.

The historical material is equally interesting. A 1952 recording of Air Force officer Edward Ruppelt — who would lead Project Blue Book — describes roughly 20 percent of hundreds of UFO reports then investigated as sufficiently credible that investigators could reach no conclusion.

Pastor Perry Stone Warned Christians Before the Releases Accelerated

That brings USA Herald back to evangelist-pastor, Perry Stone.

Our May report examined Stone's account that pastors had been told to prepare Christians for coming UAP disclosures.

Stone described concerns that extraordinary claims about unknown craft, non-human entities and materials could shake people's understanding of Scripture.

Stone has not abandoned the subject.

Stone's public framing asks Christians not merely whether unusual phenomena exist, but how claims about their origin should be interpreted within a biblical worldview.

Has Disclosure Hurt Religion Yet?

So far, there is little evidence of the widespread religious collapse sometimes imagined in discussions about extraterrestrial disclosure.

In fact, previous research suggests the opposite.

Research examining Protestant, Catholic and Jewish clergy found little support for the prediction that extraterrestrial disclosure would trigger a major religious crisis.

Other research surveying believers across Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism and other traditions similarly found that most religious respondents believed their faith could accommodate extraterrestrial intelligence.

NASA itself has publicly hosted serious discussion about astrobiology and theology, acknowledging that discoveries concerning life elsewhere in the universe naturally raise questions about faith, humanity and humanity's place within creation.

But those are theological questions, not necessarily theological catastrophes. The Pentagon has not released a document saying aliens exist.

It has released records showing that the government has spent considerable time examining phenomena, reports and theoretical technologies that once existed largely outside respectable public conversation.

Four Months Later, Where Are We?

When USA Herald published its May report, the pastor claims were extraordinary and the promised government disclosures were largely still ahead.

Today, the balance has shifted.

The claim of an officially sanctioned pastor briefing remains contested and unverified. Yet the government disclosure machinery itself is unquestionably operating, at least to a small degree.

Six tranches have been released.

New UAP videos are public.

Historical investigations are being exposed.

Previously classified or restricted records concerning extraordinary aerospace concepts are being placed before the American public.

And on September 14, the Pentagon announced a legal waiver intended to permit current and former personnel previously constrained by nondisclosure agreements to provide UAP-related information to the government — potentially opening another channel for information to emerge.

For Christians watching these developments, Perry Stone's fundamental question therefore remains relevant even if some of the claims surrounding the alleged pastor briefing remain unverified:

What happens to faith if humanity someday learns that it is not alone?

The evidence released thus far does not require anyone to answer that question.

But Washington is releasing enough information that churches, theologians, scientists and ordinary Americans are increasingly willing to ask it.

And perhaps that is the biggest change since May.

UAP disclosure has not yet delivered proof of extraterrestrial intelligence.

It has, however, moved the conversation from whether the government has investigated extraordinary phenomena to what decades of government investigation actually found — and what humanity will do if one day the unexplained becomes explained.

UPDATE ON DAVID GRUSCH FOIA LAWSUIT

The Department of Justice (DOJ), representing the Department of Defense (AKA Department of War) today (September 21, 2026) filed a motion for summary judgment in federal court, which if granted by the judge would end David Grusch's federal FOIA lawsuit against the Department of Defense.

In his March 2026 lawsuit (Grusch v. Department of Defense, No. 1:26-cv-607), Grusch has claimed that the Department of Defense conducted an inadequate search in response to his October 2024 FOIA request for certain documents related to a purported "unauthorized disclosure complaint" about Grusch, or related to any "unauthorized disclosure complaint" involving UAP/UFO, both of these being limited to the time period April 1 through December 31, 2023.

In a legal memo filed today in support of its motion for summary judgment, the DOD claimed its search followed the terms of Grusch's request, was very thorough, and found 22 POTENTIALLY responsive documents totaling 6,632 pages.

After review, 40 pages were released to Grusch on May 18, 2026. The cover letter that accompanied the 40-page release (shown below) said that "some information has been withheld" under FOIA exemptions involving the decision-making process, attorney-client and attorney-work-product privileges, and personal privacy; the letter contained no reference to withholding based on classification or any other justification. The public filings do not make it clear (or at least, not clear to me) what happened to the remaining 6,592 pages identified by the searches as "potentially responsive"–that is, how many were ultimately deemed nonresponsive to Grusch’s request, and whether any records deemed responsive were nevertheless withheld in full under FOIA exemptions, and if that occurred, under which exemptions.

To my knowledge, Grusch has made public none of the 40 pages that were released to him in May in response to his FOIA request and lawsuit.

Through my own FOIA request I obtained the 40 pages, but in heavily redacted form; I published the redacted documents via X on June 25, 2026.

Today's DOJ/DOD memo asserts that the adequacy of the DOD search is the only issue that remains to be resolved in this lawsuit. Today's memo contains no discussion of the justifications for any withholdings or redactions.

The 40-page release that I obtained in June included a copy of a letter dated November 1, 2023, to Congressman Tim Burchett (R-TN), from Mark D. Dupont, Principal Deputy and Senior Intelligence Oversight Official, Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Privacy, Civil Liberties, and Transparency, shown below. In that letter (sent in response to an inquiry from Burchett's office, also shown below), Dupont related that an unnamed Air Force Intelligence Oversight (IO) officer had "raised concerns" about Grusch, but also that the same officer "subsequently contacted IOD [Intelligence Oversight Directorate] and informed IOD that the information in question had been properly coordinated so there was no unauthorized disclosure, and no follow-on action was necessary. At no point did anyone from the Air Force file a complaint with IOD and IOD took no actions with respect to these conversations."

Grusch described the Air Force review incident very differently in an interview on May 5, 2026, in which he claimed, "And the Air Force, I think, was very afraid when I went public….I have a FOIA lawsuit in the Eastern District of Virginia, because it's come to my attention that when I went public in June 2023, the Department of the Air Force filed an unauthorized disclosure Espionage Act complaint against me."

To my knowledge neither Burchett nor Grusch had ever made the November 1, 2023 Dupont letter public, despite Grusch having made public claims about Air Force retaliation in various places over the last several years.

The Dupont letter became public only after I obtained it via FOIA and published it in June.

Grusch's lawyers have until October 12, 2026 to file an opposition brief to today's DOJ/DOD motion and memo.
