Official to 'Post': On average, 12 million barrels of oil pass through Hormuz
A US official told The Jerusalem Post on Saturday that nearly 12 million barrels of oil passed through the Strait of Hormuz over the past few weeks.

China pushes back against US on Iran in UN speech
China pushed back against the United States in its speech at the UN General Assembly on Saturday, saying the sovereignty of countries in the Gulf should be respected and urging the "relevant country" to stop threatening Cuba and lift its blockade on it.
Vice President Han Zheng did not mention the US by name in his remarks. The US has launched a pressure campaign on Cuba that has largely blocked oil from reaching the island. The US war on Iran started with US-Israeli strikes in February.

Sudanese army drone strike kills nine in North Kordofan, RSF-allied group says

A Sudanese army drone strike killed at least nine civilians and wounded 24 others on Friday in the town of Al-Mazrub in North Kordofan state, an alliance allied with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said.
Al-Mazrub and the nearby town of Um Bader, located in West Bara locality, are among the few remaining bastions held by the RSF in North Kordofan as fighting expands across Sudan’s central and western regions.
The Sudan Founding Coalition, known as Tasees, said in a statement that the drone hit a populated civilian neighbourhood during the morning.
Reuters could not independently verify the casualty figures or the source of the strike, and a Sudanese military spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Tasees condemned the assault as a grave breach of international humanitarian law protecting non-combatants and called for an independent international inquiry to hold perpetrators accountable.
Both the Sudanese military and the RSF have increasingly relied on combat drones and loitering munitions to carry out targeted attacks and break battlefield stalemates, frequently inflicting heavy civilian casualties in residential zones.
The war between the army and the RSF, which erupted in April 2023 over a planned integration of the two forces, has displaced more than 10 million people and pushed parts of the country into famine.

Four killed as Pakistani drones target civilians in Balochistan

Quetta, Sep 26 (IANS) At least four young men were killed and two others injured after the Pakistani military carried out a drone strike on a group that had gone for a picnic in the Balicha region of Tump, in Balochistan’s Kech district, local media reported on Saturday.
Citing family sources, The Balochistan Post reported that six residents of Balicha had travelled to the nearby mountains for a picnic when the strike took place on Friday afternoon.
The four deceased were identified as Yasir, Zubair, Sameer, and Deedag, with three of the four being cousins from the same family.
According to Pakistani authorities, the four were suspected militants, and weapons and ammunition were recovered from them.
Families and local residents rejected the allegations, saying the victims were unarmed and had gone to the mountains for a picnic. They also called for an independent investigation into the attack.
The Balicha strike is the latest in a series of drone and aerial attacks by Pakistani forces across Balochistan, which have reportedly caused significant civilian casualties and extensive damage.
Condemning the brutal killings in Balicha, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) said, “There is no framework of law, international humanitarian law, the laws of armed conflict, or basic human decency under which a civilian picnic becomes a legitimate military target.”

Foreign drones hover over UK military and nuclear sites at rate of THREE every week

Drones are making illegal incursions over nuclear power stations and UK military bases at a rate of almost three a week amid escalating tensions with Russia.
Sightings of unmanned craft above critical infrastructure and sensitive security sites since January are already higher than the previous two years.
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) told The Mail on Sunday 100 sightings were made over nuclear facilities or nuclear objects, such as submarines, between January and August of this year.
In comparison, it dealt with 69 similar incidents in the whole of 2025 and 47 the year before that. Going back further, the numbers recorded in 2020 stood at just 18.
Professor Anthony Glees, a security expert at the University of Buckingham, said it is ‘common sense’ to assume Russia is behind the rise.
He added: ‘The obvious explanation for the increase in drone spying of our nuclear facilities is to gain intelligence useful to an enemy planning an attack on the UK, which would be the harbinger of a general war in Europe against Nato.’
While he believes Russia is the main antagonist behind the rise, he also said China and Iran could be involved in a bid to determine the UK’s ability to defend itself.
The scale of incursions comes after a report earlier this year claimed Russia was spying on Britain’s nuclear weapons.
The International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS) reported that drones targeted the Lakenheath and Mildenhall bases in Suffolk, RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire and RAF Feltwell in Norfolk over four days in 2024.
The devices were launched from a Kremlin spy ship, the HAV Dolphin, sighted off the coast of Humberside at the time.
The security crisis resulted in specialist British troops being deployed to the bases to intercept the Russian spy drones.
Professor Glees said that while some drones are launched from ships, there are suspicions Russia and Iran are using ‘human agents’ to launch the devices as well.
He said this could even include Brits being paid to betray their own country. He added: ‘We don’t think they have any ideological attachment to Putin’s regime.’

The nuclear-specific incursions are among 340 security incidents involving drones at or near Ministry of Defence sites in the UK in the year up to August 2026.
However, military chiefs have refused to reveal the number recorded over each type of site or object and also withheld information over how many related specifically to Scotland – home to the Faslane naval base where Britain’s nuclear deterrent is housed.
It said providing this information could pose a national security risk.
Launching the IISS report earlier this year, the think tank’s security expert, Charlie Edwards, said: ‘Russia has demonstrated, repeatedly, that it can penetrate the airspace of NATO members – including over nuclear sites – without triggering a collective allied response.
‘That gap between capability and political will is now a strategic vulnerability.’
The lack of any action in the face of Russia’s probes comes as Prime Minister Andy Burnham faces criticism over plans to invite Vladimir Putin to the G20 summit in Manchester.
Ministers do not believe Putin will attend in person for fear that the British courts will uphold an International Criminal Court warrant for his arrest for alleged war crimes in Ukraine.
But critics warned that the presence of a high-level Russian delegation in the UK would send a signal that relations are being normalised, handing a propaganda coup to the Kremlin.
A UK Government spokesman said Russian participation in G20 meetings is ‘regrettable’ but added that it is a matter for member states who represents them at summits.
Last month, it emerged Mr Burnham was warned that Britain faces Russian retaliation over its support for Ukraine.
Security experts have told the PM to be prepared for a ‘direct response’ from Putin.
Discussing what steps the UK should take to counter the threat, Professor Glees said: ‘Andy Burnham should say, loud and clear, that from now on, any Russian ship launching drones to overfly sensitive UK military and defence industry sites will be destroyed.’
He suggested tactics such as anti-drone nets, which Russia is using over its refineries, could also be used as well as jamming them electronically.
He added: ‘We are facing a real and present national security threat and it is time Defence Secretary Wes Streeting stopped talking nice. He needs to call these incursions out for what they are, hostile spy operations, and act hard and fast to stop them.’
An MOD spokesperson said: ‘We take the rising threat posed by hostile drones extremely seriously.
‘We are committing £790 million to strengthen protection from drone and missile threats and have established new restricted airspace areas over 44 critical defence sites, extending to over 160 further sites in the autumn.’

Senate Republican: Iranian leaders ‘part of a colony of reptiles’ that also includes China, Russia, North Korea

Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) on Wednesday accused Iran’s leaders of being “part of a colony of reptiles,” grouping them with other U.S. adversaries.
Kennedy was responding to Fox News’s Will Cain on his eponymous show when asked about President Trump attending the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
Trump was part of a meeting with Iranian officials on the sidelines of the international body on Tuesday. The next day, he rolled out the red carpet for Chinese President Xi Jinping at Joint Base Andrews.
“I think that the people running Iran are reptiles,” Kennedy replied. “And they’re part of a colony of reptiles: China, North Korea, Russia and, as I said, Iran. The chief reptile, the quarterback, is President Xi in China. You can’t trust any of them.”
Kennedy said that in many ways, Iran, China, North Korea and Russia “are the same.”
“It’s like the same hooker in different dresses,” the Louisiana Republican continued. “They all lie like timeshare salesmen. You can’t trust them. I wouldn’t turn my back on any of them, even if I thought and knew they were two days dead.”
Kennedy defended the Trump administration’s military operation against Iran, reiterating the president’s frequent remark that the U.S. has “degraded Iran substantially” and that the country has “accomplished all of our goals.”
“They’re angry because President Trump has ripped Iran a new ashtray,” he said.
The senator insisted that China could open the Strait of Hormuz, the crucial passageway for roughly 20 percent of the world’s oil that Iran effectively shut off at the start of the conflict. Kennedy said the strait was the only problem remaining.
“And at some point, the president’s going to have to decide whether having achieved all of our objectives –– it’s time to come home and let China and Russia and North Korea and Europe and all the other countries that refuse to help take a crack at it because they’re going to pay the price of a closed strait even more than America,” he added.
Trump met with the Iranian delegation for three hours, with his son-in-law Jared Kushner in attendance.
The president had earlier delivered a speech to the U.N. about his options in bringing the Iran war to a close: to seek a new deal on Iran’s nuclear program or allow the country to face “annihilation.”
On Wednesday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told the General Assembly that his country will not surrender or give up its nuclear program.
He said Trump and others “who seek to bully us” must understand that Iran seeks a path toward peace “without accepting the language of force.”
“We will never bow our head or bend at the knee,” Pezeshkian said.
Xi’s visit to the U.S. marks the first official state visit from a Chinese leader in more than a decade as tensions between China and the U.S. remain high.
He and Trump will hold a series of high-stakes meetings on Thursday before a state dinner at the White House.
The two leaders are expected to talk about trade, artificial intelligence and the U.S. shipping weapons to Taiwan.
Both leaders agreed to ease tensions in their trade war last October, but neither made progress at their May summit in Beijing. China hawks from both parties have expressed objections to Trump’s no-expense-spared treatment for Xi.

The user from Pedregal, Panama, known as @kinpanama on TikTok, began posting videos on August 29 documenting the strange growth.
In his footage, what appears at first to be a rock slowly develops a gelatinous, greenish-yellow substance resembling algae, before transforming into a darker, more elaborate structure that resembles Marvel’s Venom.

According to the Panama man, the alleged alien meteorite “smells like burning, and the smell keeps getting stronger.” He says he alerted the local university, but no one has shown up yet.
In a video dated three days ago, the man shows the object completely covered in a black, viscous substance, saying he does not know whether he is facing an animal or a plant entity.
The videos quickly went viral on platforms such as X.com and TikTok, with thousands of users debating whether the mysterious object was truly extraterrestrial.
Some viewers, both fascinated and disturbed, nicknamed the alleged Panama alien creature “Venom,” comparing its evolution to a scene out of a science fiction film.
Others expressed fear at the idea of an alien organism quietly growing in a Panamanian backyard.
Alien life or creative influencer?
But not everyone is convinced this is a case of alien life. Many users argue that what @kinpanama has found is neither a meteorite nor an alien, but rather a striking example of Earth’s own biodiversity.
Known in English as the “Devil’s Fingers” or “Octopus Stinkhorn,” Clathrus archeri is a fungus that at first resembles a white egg or stone.
As it matures, the outer shell splits open, releasing several long, red or black tentacle-like arms that give it a grotesque and alien appearance.
The fungus also emits a strong, unpleasant odor intended to attract flies, which then spread its spores. It is not edible and is widely considered foul-smelling and unsettling, even by mycologists.

Observers noted that the apparent “movement” captured in the viral videos is not an alien life form breaking free, but rather insects feeding inside the decaying fungus, contributing to its eerie effect.
After saying in a video that the relevant authorities came to collect samples to study it, the man published a video showing a full-grown entity.
Other users have try to debunk what they consider a hoax. According to YouTube channel @BiologiaDesdeCero, @kinpanama reportedly deleted several of his early videos as his story began going viral.
The channel points out several inconsistencies, including a video of the alleged meteorite crash site, in flames. There, @BiologiaDesdeCero says, one can spot matches that may have been used to stage a fake crash site.
As for the alleged alien entity, the channel suggests it could be a human creation, animated with wires hidden under the table, while the initial meteorite would be a potato painted silver.
Many also pointed out the carelessness with which the young man handles what he claims to be an extraterrestrial creature: touching it with bare hands, no masks, no basic precautions.
In a Reddit post, user HighStrangeness claims that the alleged alien is, in fact, a human creation, and its movements can be explained by a chemical phenomenon called swelling-induced snapping motion.
Controversy on TikTok over Panama’s ‘Venom’ alien
In any case, the Panama meteorite remains the most viral topic on social media, with users speculating whether what was found is AI, CGI, or real alien life.
“I typically don’t believe stuff like this online but I genuinely think it’s real. It doesn’t seem like he has the tools to make something like this or to make it bigger and bigger. It doesn’t look AI either,” reads a comment on TikTok.
“There’s no way y’all believe this story. No government in the entire world would let him continue documenting this on social media,” reads another comment, with another user answering: “Girl. So if the government doesn’t get involved it automatically means it’s fake? Get real.”
In a recent videos, @kinpanama claims that TikTok is threatening to delete all his content and shut down his account, leaving followers concerned for the Panama man’s safety and the possibility of a real case of alien life being covered up.
“I’m scared. This is either the most elaborate hoax or the beginning of something crazy,” says a person on TikTok.
While many remain skeptical, sometimes laughing at the creature or trying to offer a rational explanation, many users show strong support for @kinpanama.
“You’ve got this kin! Remember to hold the frequency of love and you’re going to be fine. Ask it what it wants. I am here to help you. You’re doing amazing. ♥,” says a TikTok user. Many also ask him to do a live stream instead of posting short videos once a day.
In his most recent video, the young man shares a first-of-its-kind footage of the entity, taken from a camera he placed inside the safe where he keeps it, giving the first clear and full glimpse of the thing.

Watch: Four Odd UFOs Filmed Over Canadian Lake

A curious piece of footage filmed by a pilot in Canada shows four UFOs flying over the clouds above a lake.
The puzzling scene was reportedly captured on the afternoon of August 23rd at the sizeable Great Slave Lake in the country's Northwest Territories.
In the footage (featured above), the four dark objects appear at an estimated 3 to 5 miles from the aircraft, seemingly hovering atop the clouds. The pilot who filmed the UFOs marveled that "after 13 years of flying, I finally saw something."
The witness also noted there was "no other traffic" on radar or the traffic collision avoidance system that could account for the four anomalies, which he described as "pill-shaped."
As for what the weird objects could have been, setting aside the extraterrestrial hypothesis, some have suggested that the aerial anomalies could have been helicopters or drones.
Another possibility put forward by viewers, who noted the remote location of the sighting, is that the pilot may have inadvertently filmed some kind of secret aircraft being tested where it was thought they would not be seen.

'Alien' named Bloop on a mission to spread joy in Logansport via treasure hunts

He came from Zorvex-9, a planet far from Earth.
Since crash-landing, the blue alien who calls himself Bloop Hopkins has been on a mission to hide treasure and spread joy across Cass County.
He stuffs envelopes with prizes ranging from cash to gift cards for local businesses, then lets his followers know which town will be visited next.
Once the envelope is hidden, Bloop posts a video of the public space it’s stashed at and lets residents know the drop is live.
“There’s a lot of negativity in the world,” the alien explained in an interview with the Pharos-Tribune, adding “I’m just trying to spread positivity and joy.”
His mission has been quickly gaining attention. Since crash-landing last month, the extraterrestrial’s Facebook account has picked up more than 1,700 followers.
“It started off really small,” Bloop said. “I think people were a little skeptical.”
Now, people know his name and approach him when he’s out in the community. A recent treasure hunt drew approximately 50 people, he said, and another treasure hunt was done within half an hour.
The alien’s earthbound adventure has also taken him to Peru, Monticello and Royal Center.
Bloop said he’s learned a bit about humanity during the mission. They’ve been receptive to his mission.
“Everyone’s been really positive, bringing families out, bringing families together,” the extraterrestrial said. “People who you wouldn’t expect to be out hunting and having fun are out hunting and having fun.”
Quite a bit of prep work goes into each treasure hunt. Bloop takes his time scouting out good hiding places, working with community sponsors who want to help him with his mission and making sure local officials know there could be a crowd at the local park.
He likes to make an appearance during the treasure hunts, showing up in disguise. If you didn’t know any better, you might mistake him for a regular person in plain clothes.
“He’s an awesome dude,” Jacqueline Dwigans-Merritt, recreation director for Logansport Parks & Recreation Department, wrote about Bloop in an email to the Pharos-Tribune. “We’re lucky as a community to have him.”
Mayor Jacob Pomasl also shared his appreciation for Bloop in an email to the Pharos-Tribune.
“It’s always great to welcome out of town (or ‘out of solar system’) visitors to Logansport! I love activities that get young people excited to go outside and explore new places in our community,” he wrote.
“We have many things to see and do in our little City which are truly ‘out of this world!’”
