Since we now know that the Holocaust stories are all lies, how many of the stories about Black slavery in the US are also lies?

I'm not doubting that Black people were enslaved in the US because slavery has existed worldwide for 1000s of years for all different races & nationalities by all different races & nationalities.
Many Native American tribes enslaved people from other Native American tribes, way before White or Black people ever showed up in the Americas.
What I am wondering is how many of the stories of cruelty against Blacks are actually fabricated like the mini-series Roots with the intention of just getting Blacks to despise all White people. Even despising Whites who had nothing to do with slavery. Blacks hating Whites just because they are White seems to be pretty prevalent and I'm wondering how much of it has to do with lies & propaganda. The North really wanted to demonize the South during the Civil War, and they used the slavery issue as a propaganda tool. So how many stories were fabricated by the North just to demonize the South?
