"I think I found a planet nobody knew existed. I used Claude Code to find it. I think I found a planet nobody knew existed. I used Claude Code to find it.
Last month I was going through data from NASA's TESS telescope with Claude Code when one star started looking weird. … It's about 116 light-years away, and every 3.18 days it gets about 0.05% dimmer for roughly two hours."
"I first saw it in data from late 2025. So I went backwards. The same dip is there in completely separate TESS observations from 2020. Then 2018. If it's a planet, it's about 1.4× the size of Earth. To be clear: this is still a planet candidate, not a confirmed planet."
"I used Claude Code with Opus 5.5 and Fable 5.1 for most of the actual work: downloading and parsing the TESS data, writing the search code, fitting the transits, checking nearby stars, looking for secondary eclipses and other false positives, generating plots, and rerunning things when a test failed." – more https://reddit.com/r/ClaudeAI/comments/1wzw8zd/i_think_i_found_a_planet_nobody_knew_existed_i/

Our two biggest themes when it comes to how super intelligence can help NASA:
-
What have we missed in the roughly 150 petabytes of data NASA has already collected, and what discoveries might we otherwise miss in the enormous volumes of data we will receive from future missions like Roman?
-
What entirely new missions become possible when we leverage super intelligence for spacecraft design (including advanced high-temperature material development), mission planning, and onboard autonomy (including reactor control), especially for missions where communication delays make real-time control from Earth impractical.

On this day in space! Oct. 10, 1967: The Outer Space Treaty is ratified to lay out how countries can use outer space
October 10, 2026
The treaty dictates that no one can claim territory in outer space, and there's a lot more on planetary resources.
On Oct. 10, 1967, the international Outer Space Treaty was ratified. This treaty established a set of rules regulating how different countries can explore and use outer space.
Specifically, it says "the exploration and use of outer space shall be carried out for the benefit and in the interests of all countries and shall be the province of all mankind."
The treaty dictates that no one can claim territory in outer space and that other celestial bodies must be used "exclusively for peaceful purposes." More than 100 countries have ratified the treaty today.
Why it mattered
Considered the "cornerstone" for modern space law, the Outer Space Treaty of 1967 (formally, the Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies) has provided more than a theoretical framework for future activities, but has been put to use and enforced for modern spaceflight activities.
The treaty's primary focus is on the peaceful use of space.
"First, it contains an undertaking not to place in orbit around the Earth, install on the moon or any other celestial body, or otherwise station in outer space, nuclear or any other weapons of mass destruction.
Second, it limits the use of the moon and other celestial bodies exclusively to peaceful purposes and expressly prohibits their use for establishing military bases, installation, or fortifications; testing weapons of any kind; or conducting military maneuvers," reads a summary prepared by the U.S. State Department.
Beyond that, the treaty addresses the ownership of spacecraft and satellites, whether they are in space, on the surface of another celestial body or on Earth; lays the foundation for restrictions on off-Earth property rights; and calls for parties to the treaty to provide aide when needed to astronauts, whether they are in space or encounter problems during their landings.

SpaceX launches 21 satellites to orbit for the US military after 5-day delay
October 10, 2026
SpaceX just sent another batch of satellites to orbit for the U.S. military.
A Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from California's Vandenberg Space Force Base today (Oct. 10) at 3:39 a.m. EDT (0739 GMT; 12:39 a.m. local time), hauling 21 "data transport" satellites to orbit for the U.S. Space Force's Space Development Agency (SDA).
That was five days later than originally planned. SpaceX tried to launch the mission on Monday (Oct. 5), but the Falcon 9 aborted that attempt in the countdown's final minute, for reasons that the company has not disclosed.
Today's launch helps build out the SDA's Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA), which SpaceX describes as "a mesh network of optically connected satellites in low Earth orbit [LEO] that enable global military tactical communications and missile warning, indication and tracking capabilities."
The liftoff was the fourth of nine that SpaceX will conduct to help assemble the architecture's Tranche 1 — the "initial warfighting capability tranche," according to the SDA.
Tranche 1 will eventually consist of 154 operational satellites in LEO — 126 data-transport spacecraft and 28 missile-tracking vehicles.
There will also be four missile-defense test satellites, which will sport a "higher fidelity" infrared sensor than their tracking counterparts, SDA officials wrote. (Missile-tracking satellites generally hunt for the heat signatures these weapons produce during flight).
Eighty-four of the 126 data-transport satellites have now launched to date, all of them on Falcon 9s, which lifted off from Vandenberg in September 2025, October 2025, July of this year and today.
And, as its name suggests, Tranche 1 will be just the beginning, if all goes according to plan.
"SDA leverages spiral development to deploy and proliferate new capability into a new generation of the PWSA every two years, called a 'tranche,' to continually increase capability used by the warfighter," SDA officials wrote in a Tranche 1 fact sheet.
Everything seemed to go well on today's launch. The Falcon 9's first stage came back to Vandenberg for a landing a little over seven minutes after liftoff.
It was the sixth mission for this particular booster, which is designated 1103. Its most recent flight was the July Tranche 1 mission for the SDA.
SpaceX ended its webcast shortly after booster touchdown, at the request of the SDA, so we did not get to see satellite deployment. But that's the norm for national security launches.
The satellites were successfully deployed in their target orbit, according to an Oct. 10 announcement by their builder, aerospace giant Northrop Grumman.
The 21 spacecraft "will provide secure, resilient, low-latency communications and data transport in low Earth orbit," helping to connect warfighters with missile-tracking satellites, the company wrote.
Today's mission was the 111th Falcon 9 flight of the year. The vast majority of these — more than 70% — have helped build out SpaceX's Starlink broadband megaconstellation, which currently consists of more than 11,000 satellites.

ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot returns from her first mission to the International Space Station
10/10/2026
ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot has arrived back in Europe, landing in Cologne, Germany, following her return to Earth with Crew-12 after 237 days, nearly eight months, aboard the International Space Station for her εpsilon mission.
Sophie, together with NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrei Fedyaev, undocked on 7 October at 12:05 GMT/14:05 CEST, beginning a 27 hours and 29 minutes return journey back to Earth.
After splashdown on 8 October at 15:34 GMT/17:34 CEST and initial medical checks aboard the recovery vessel, Sophie and her crewmates travelled to shore by helicopter before boarding a NASA plane at the nearest airport.
They were flown together to Ellington Field in Houston for initial post-flight activities.
On 9 October Sophie boarded a French Air and Space Force Airbus A330 MRTT Phénix bound for ESA’s European Astronaut Centre (EAC) in Cologne, Germany.
She landed at 04:21 GMT / 06:21 CEST on 10 October and was warmly welcomed on the apron by family, friends, colleagues, journalists and representatives from ESA Member States.
“We are delighted to welcome back our ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot who embodied our values through her successful mission,” says Josef Aschbacher, ESA’s Director General.
“The inspiration that Sophie has provided with her mission matters a great deal as we enter into such a decisive moment for Europe.
Human spaceflight and exploration remain at the centre of our attention as we prepare for the Intermediate Ministerial Council Meeting in Rome in December.
Our ambition is clear: Europe must secure a role in exploration commensurate with its political and economic weight.”
Next steps for Sophie
Sophie will spend the next two to three weeks adjusting to Earth’s gravity and undergoing data collections at :envihab, a German Aerospace Center (DLR) facility located next to EAC.

A record-breaking mission
Sophie spent a total of 237 days, 5 hours and 18 minutes in space after being launched on 13 February 2026 from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, USA.
The εpsilon mission set a new European record for the longest single spaceflight, exceeding by more than 35 days the previous record held by ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano for his Beyond mission.
Crew-12 is also the longest SpaceX Dragon mission to date, surpassing the previous record of 235 days set by Crew-8.
Sophie is the second European woman, after ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, and the first French woman to conduct an Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA), or spacewalk.
Sophie completed three spacewalks in 14 days, spending a total of 19 hours and 42 minutes working outside the Station.
Throughout εpsilon, Sophie carried out a wide range of European experiments spanning fields from health research to materials science, biology, fluid physics, radiation physics and fundamental science.
Alongside this broad research programme, Sophie also helped to test technologies for future exploration missions, including the new European exercise device E4D and in-orbit metal 3D printing, and supported commercial research payloads.
Over the course of Expedition 74 and 75, Sophie worked on experiments and payloads for International Space Station partners, contributing to the international research programme carried out aboard the orbiting laboratory.
Sophie also spent around 218 hours working on 35 European payloads, and about 25 hours on ESA systems maintenance or upgrades in Columbus, Europe’s microgravity research facility in orbit. She completed all the εpsilon-specific experiments proposed by the French space agency CNES, and all ESA experiments that were assigned to her.
“Sophie was the first of her class to be assigned to a mission, embarking on a fast-track journey she brilliantly completed.
Her return now marks the successful completion of an outstanding mission aboard the International Space Station, says Daniel Neuenschwander, ESA Director of Human and Robotic Exploration.
“During εpsilon, she has contributed to an ambitious programme of science, technology and exploration, while representing Europe in an international endeavour that depends on the commitment of thousands of people.
Missions like εpsilon help build the knowledge, experience and inspiration we need as Europe pursues its ambitions for exploration and discovery.
We are immensely proud to welcome her back to Europe and grateful to all the teams and partners who supported her throughout this journey.”
Inspiration and outreach
During her free time, Sophie took more than 1,1 million social media followers along on the εpsilon adventure, sharing insights into the science experiments she worked on and life aboard the Station, as well as views of Earth from orbit and her Sunday Morning Science series, which took advantage of microgravity to demonstrate scientific concepts. Sophie’s social media content during εpsilon generated more than 403 million views.
Sophie also reached and inspired more than 290 000 students through the CNES educational experiment Chloriss conducted in about 4000 schools, ESA’s AstroPi challenge, the International Space Station’s amateur radio programme ARISS, and a poetry contest.
She also took part in more than 40 live events with schools, museums, institutions and journalists around the world.
True to the meaning behind εpsilon, Sophie’s contribution was one of many that came together to make the mission possible.
Behind εpsilon’s achievements was a collective effort involving ESA teams and centres across Europe, including EAC, the Columbus Control Centre (Col-CC) and the network of User Support and Operations Centres (USOCs), alongside national space agencies such as CNES and many partners.

Ukraine attacks Russia with spy balloons
10 Oct, 2026 02:14 | Updated 10 Oct, 2026 05:39
The small flying objects were spotted and shot down over central Russia’s Yaroslavl Region, its Security Ministry has said
Ukrainian spy balloons have been spotted over central Russia’s Yaroslavl Region for the first time, according to the regional Security Ministry.
Local authorities said several of the small flying objects were successfully shot down on Friday, urging residents to report anything suspicious that they see in the sky or suspected debris to emergency services.
The balloons “had been launched from the territory of Ukraine,” according to officials.
Small reconnaissance balloons can be used to distract enemy air defenses, but they can also serve as reconnaissance platforms, including to pinpoint the locations of air defense systems or help direct strikes against other targets.
Yaroslavl Region has been targeted by Ukrainian long-range strikes in recent weeks. In mid-September, the Russian military shot down 65 drones over the region in a single day during a large-scale drone raid targeting a local refinery.
Although Friday’s incident was the first of its kind reported in Yaroslavl Region, the Russian military has encountered Ukrainian spy balloons and even explosive-laden balloons in the past.
In September 2025, the Ukrainian military attempted to strike several Russian regions with dozens of meteorological balloons carrying explosives.
The Wall Street Journal claimed in a February article that Kiev had been using high-altitude balloons in attacks on Russia since the Ukraine conflict escalated in 2022.
However, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, such attacks were first detected in autumn 2024, with another surge in reported incidents in late summer 2025.
The recent balloon attacks come as Russia has stepped up strikes on missile and drone warehouses, as well as unmanned aerial vehicle assembly facilities, in response to continued Ukrainian strikes on Russian civilian and energy infrastructure, which Moscow describes as terrorist acts.
After Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky recently threatened to step up attacks on Russian oil refineries, Moscow vowed to intensify strikes on Ukraine’s military-related facilities while maintaining that it never targets civilians.
On Wednesday, the Russian military targeted a Smart Ammunition facility used to assemble and store FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, FP-9 tactical ballistic missiles, and components for both weapons, as well as other sites across several Ukrainian regions, including a drone workshop in Kirovograd Region and the JTI Ukraine tobacco factory in Kremenchug, which Russian officials say is used to manufacture small-arms ammunition.

Kyiv Metro Paralyzed, Blackouts Hit Capital After Drone Strikes
Oct. 10, 2026, 1:33 pm
In brief: Russian drone strikes damaged a key energy installation in the Kyiv region on Saturday, Oct. 10, precipitating power outages that completely shut down the Kyiv metro system, halted electric surface transport, and disrupted municipal water supplies.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed severe grid strain as emergency blackouts hit districts including Pivdenna and Borshchahivka, while drone debris struck a 25-story residential block and an office building in the Solomianskyi district.
Russian drone strikes targeting energy infrastructure in the Kyiv region knocked out power across swathes of Ukraine’s capital on Saturday, Oct. 10, completely halting operations across the Kyiv metro network, paralyzing electric surface transit, and disrupting municipal water supplies.
The Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA) and municipal metro operator Kyivskyi Metropoliten announced that train traffic and escalators across all three underground transit lines were suspended following an abrupt loss of voltage from external electrical supply hubs.
“Due to the loss of power from external power centers, train service and escalator operations in the subway have been temporarily suspended,” municipal authorities said in an official dispatch, adding that updates on service restoration would follow as utility crews work to stabilize incoming grid voltage.
Electric surface transit was concurrently halted across major districts of the capital.
Municipal transit agency Kyivpastrans confirmed that trolleybus and tram routes were suspended across the Solomianskyi and Pecherskyi districts, as well as across parts of the Shevchenkivskyi and Darnytskyi districts, as substation outages cascaded through the municipal transit grid.
Energy grid damage and municipal water disruptions
The transit shutdown unfolded as regional authorities reported direct kinetic damage to a critical energy infrastructure installation in the wider Kyiv province during morning drone waves.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the damage severely destabilized the capital’s power distribution network, knocking offline municipal pumping stations and producing citywide water supply shortages.
“Due to damage to an energy facility in the Kyiv region, the energy supply situation in the capital has worsened,” Klitschko stated on Telegram. “There are also interruptions in the water supply in the city. Specialists are working to restore the water supply.”
To prevent uncontrolled grid failure, energy dispatchers enacted emergency shutdown schedules across several metropolitan neighborhoods.
The Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) confirmed that an emergency blackout was imposed in the Pivdenna Borshchahivka residential neighborhood following the morning aerial assault, noting that repair brigades deployed immediately to reroute transmission lines.
Drone debris impact across municipal districts
The power disruptions followed repeated drone incursions directed against the capital and surrounding metropolitan territory throughout Saturday morning.
In the Podilskyi district, municipal emergency services confirmed that wreckage from an intercepted Russian unmanned aerial vehicle crashed into an open area without inflicting casualties.
As the aerial assault continued into the afternoon, falling debris struck multi-story urban structures in the western Solomianskyi district.
Municipal authorities reported that drone fragments hit a 25-story residential apartment block and damaged an eight-story commercial office building.
Emergency responders, rescue personnel, and structural engineers deployed to both impact sites to secure the perimeters and inspect structural integrity.

RSF drone strike kills 41 in Sudan near Ethiopian border: Rights group
Saturday 10 Oct 2026
A drone strike by Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces hit a gathering of displaced people on the border with Ethiopia and killed 41, a rights group said.
Friday’s strike by the RSF militia took place in the Abu Shandi area in Sudan’s Blue Nile province, according to Emergency Lawyers, which tracks the war in the northeastern African nation.
Among the dead were eight children and many women, the group said.
The U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said it was appalled by the reported strike that also wounded dozens.
“Condemning these senseless killings is essential, but there must also be accountability for this flagrant disregard for international humanitarian law,” said Denise Brown, the U.N. resident and humanitarian coordinator in Sudan in a statement.
“As each day goes by in this war, the world continues to accept the suffering of the people of Sudan.”
Sudan’s war erupted in April 2023, when the RSF militia launched an insurgency against the government, triggering fighting with the Sudanese military that spread across the country.
The conflict has killed at least 150,000 people, according to conflict monitor ACLED, though aid groups say the real number is likely higher.
It has forced more than 12.4 million to flee their homes, according to U.N. figures, creating what aid groups call the world’s largest humanitarian crisis.
Across Sudan, 33.7 million people, including 17.3 million children, urgently need aid this year, and an estimated 825,000 children face severe acute malnutrition.

Bigfoot sightings across 14 US states reveal an eerie pattern sparking claims a creature is hiding nearby
09:01 EDT, 10 October 2026 | Updated: 12:40 EDT, 10 October 2026
An eerie pattern in thousands of reported Bigfoot sightings across the US has raised the unsettling possibility that a mysterious creature is lurking close to humans.
Independent researcher and retired police officer Bruce Champagne examined 5,834 reports across 14 states before singling out 25 accounts he believes offer the clearest evidence of an unknown creature prowling near cities and towns at night for a specific purpose.
According to Champagne, witnesses most often reported seeing Bigfoot along quiet paths, roaming up to a mile into towns and cities on winter nights.
The study described this as cautious, repeated behavior rather than random accidents on the edges of the woods.
Champagne called the alleged creature's movements: 'A pattern of rare, apparently intentional, largely solitary, nocturnal, corridor-based incursions that may be consistent with flexible decision-making.'
Bigfoot is believed to be a huge, hairy, ape-like creature, or species of creatures, that walks like a human and hides in remote forests throughout North America.
The first widely publicized modern report of Bigfoot came in 1958, when Humboldt Times journalist Andrew Genzoli published a letter from a reader describing massive, mysterious footprints found near a logging site in Bluff Creek, California.
Despite thousands of alleged sightings, eyewitness testimonies, photographs and footprint discoveries across the country, there has never been any physical evidence presented publicly that scientists have said proves the Bigfoot species exists.
Champagne focused on Bigfoot sightings that occurred at least a quarter-mile inside densely populated areas - meaning they had at least 1,600 residents per square kilometer (0.38 square miles).
The 25 accounts described large, ape-like creatures spotted at least a quarter of a mile inside towns and cities by witnesses deemed highly credible in Champagne’s analysis.
The reports spanned 14 US states, with the highest numbers coming from Illinois, Ohio, Utah, New Jersey and Colorado. Sightings peaked between 2006 and 2015, according to the research.
Champagne compared the reported behavior with that of other intelligent animals, including great apes, when they encounter humans.
He argued that the alleged creatures’ strong preference for traveling at night suggested they understood the risks of using urban walkways during the day.
'The patterning observed here suggests that urban incursions, while uncommon, are behaviorally structured events that merit further comparative and field-based investigation,' Champagne concluded.
The study found the creatures often traveled stealthily along drainage ditches and railway lines.
On average, they ventured 1.75 miles into the cities and towns they were exploring at night. However, at least one sighting found an alleged Bigfoot walked nearly eight miles into town, although the exact date and location were not revealed in the report.
Among other wildlife species, run-ins with humans often occur because of environmental stresses, such as animals searching for food in the winter when supplies become scarce.
Champagne suggested the same thing might be happening with Bigfoot sightings, as the creatures come out of hiding when their food sources run low during the cold, winter months.
Champagne’s research focused on accounts documented in three major databases, Oregonbigfoot.com, the Green Archive and the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO).
BFRO is the most widely cited and comprehensive public collection of Bigfoot reports in the US.
According to their records, which date back to 1904, Washington state has seen the most Bigfoot sightings, with more than 700 on record. California ranks second with nearly 500 sightings on record.
Champagne assessed reports on the basis of whether multiple witnesses were present, how credible the observers were, how close the witnesses allegedly got to the creature and how long the encounters lasted.
Champaign found that 36 percent of all Bigfoot encounters happened in winter, followed by autumn (27%), summer (23%) and spring (14%).
The creatures were described as 'massive' by 40 percent of witness accounts, however, one in five people called Bigfoot 'lightly built.'
Typical Bigfoot sightings also described a creature that stood up to 15 feet tall, with footprints measuring up to 24 inches long and eight inches wide.
They were most often seen prowling between midnight and 3am local time.

“UFOs were demonic”: Former astronaut Charlie Duke shares his views on UAPs and aliens
Updated Sat, October 10, 2026 at 9:56 AM PDT
Former astronaut Charlie Duke reportedly shared his perspectives on UFOs, UAPs, and alien life and further addressed moon landing conspiracy theories. According to CBN News, Charlie said,
"I felt like UFOs were demonic, but I was saying that at rotary clubs and stuff like that, and people were laughing me off the stage."
Charlie recalled that he once prayed for a clear sign to confirm his belief, and so he asked God to show him proof. The next morning, one of his close friends brought up the subject of UFOs during breakfast.
The astronaut revealed that his friend was a businessman who never discussed science or unusual topics. However, the friend immediately began talking about UFOs.
Charlie believed that the demonic powers connected to the UFO possessed his friend, and that's why he started talking about it rather than discussing business. He further said:
"What I feel is the UFOs are trying to turn us away from the truth and run after these alien beings, which are really not beings at all. They're demonic."
Charlie Duke opened up about the demonic forces connected to the UFOs
The former astronaut also recalled the Bible's warning that the devil could disguise himself as an angel of light.
Based on this, he explained that he believed UFOs were not truly alien life but demonic forces that were meant to lead people away from the truth and believe in false ideas.
Charlie believed that whatever happened during the breakfast with his friend that morning was a sign that God showed him.
According to the Christian Post, the author of the book 'UFOs and God: Revealing Deception and Truth Behind the Supernatural, Invisible War,' Derrick Warfel argued that UFO encounters were signs of fallen supernatural powers instead of extraterrestrial beings.
Derrick further stated that he supported his argument by referring to Ephesians 6:12. The author also argued that ghosts were nothing more than deceiving evil spirits or demons.
While some interpret UFO encounters through a religious lens, reports of unexplained sightings have also emerged from military personnel and pilots.
The National Geographic revealed that pilots of the USS Nimitz and the USS Theodore Roosevelt had witnessed UFOs in 2004 and between 2014 and 2015 respectively.
During these encounters, aviators such as Commander David Fravor described a smooth, white object without wings or windows, often referred to as the Tic Tac. They reported that it carried out flight maneuvers that went beyond the limits of known physics.
Charlie Duke reveals whether he has seen UFOs
Charlie explained that during his time as an astronaut, he never saw anything unusual like a UFO. He shared that he and his crew experienced strange flashes of light once they passed beyond the Van Allen radiation belts.
These flashes appeared as streaks across their vision, which stimulated their retina. He noticed them in different directions, sometimes upper left, lower right, straight ahead, or fading away. Charlie explained,
"We had some strange, what we call light flashes. As we got beyond the Van Allen belts, we'd see these streaks go through, which would stimulate our retina. And it would be, oh, that one's upper left or lower right."
Scientists designed an experiment using two moving photographic plates to study the phenomenon happening on the Moon. The astronauts wore the device for hours, reported each flash they saw, described its position and intensity, and every observation was recorded on the plates.
The data was analyzed after returning to Earth, and it was revealed that the flashes were caused by cosmic particles. Charlie admitted he no longer remembered the exact scientific definition but emphasized that the flashes were real.

UFO info from secret Las Vegas program expected to be compiled for release
Updated: Oct 9, 2026 / 02:03 PM PDT
We may soon get more information from the federal government on the issue of unknown mysteries in the skies above.
In a special edition of “Mystery Wire with George Knapp,” George and Ron Futrell discuss how the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has begun the process of finding documents dating back to 2007, when Las Vegan Robert Bigelow began compiling information on unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and other mysteries related to the topic.
Compiling the information was part of the project funded by the federal government through Bigelow. It was called the Advanced Aerospace Weapon Systems Applications Program (AAWSAP).
In early October 2026, the DIA sent Bigelow a letter of their intent to compile information to be released.
Colm Kelleher, who worked with Bigelow on the AAWSAP program, hopes that the pending revelations will help provide context to the videos and data that the government has been releasing on UFOs.
“One of the main criticisms of the pursue data dumps is that there’s no context. I mean, there is absolutely no context. You’ve got these videos that have no metadata. Someone went to the trouble to take it out before they released,” Kelleher said.
“Getting a whole bunch of raw data dumped into the population is not very useful as time goes on,” Kelleher said.
The date for the files to be released has not been set, and it could take years.
Many names need to be redacted from the files because those interviewed after having encounters voluntarily provided information to investigators under the auspices that their identities would not be revealed.
The content of these files being prepared for release will be covered in future episodes of Mystery Wire with George Knapp.

Senator Warner: “Chinese drones” shuttered Langley AFB — on US soil! — for 17 days in 2023, not UAP
October 10, 2026
Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) — Ranking Member, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI)
Ask a Pol asks:
Did you ever get answers from the Pentagon on the UAP incursions that effectively shuttered Langley Air Force Base for 17 days in 2023?
Key Warner:
“Mostly ended up being Chinese drones,” Sen. Mark Warner exclusively told Ask a Pol UAP.
Find Ask a Pol on YouTube, TikTok or Instagram!
Caught our ear:
“No,” Warner replied when we asked whether he’s seen pictures of the objects that hovered over Langley. “I’ll ask around.”
*PSA: Please note this interview is from August, when I was dealing with (ongoing…) legal issues with the nation’s TV networks.
Said legal issues have been costly, because I’ve been barred from credentialing my ever-rotating team of independent journalists at the Capitol, thus no extra hands on deck to help publish Ask a Pol (one of the 5 or so fledgling new media startups I run).

Ask a Pol UAP asks:
Have you seen any of these six tranches of declassified UFO files the Pentagon has been releasing?
Key Turner:
“You know we’re not doing this,” Rep. Mike Turner tells Ask a Pol UAP.
Caught our ear:
“You were in one,” Turner Dad-jokes as he turns around and points to Laslo.
Laslo laughs.
