no, that was disinfo to discredit "Pale Horse" author Bill Cooper.
They used a doctored and blurry "Zapruder" to convince him in 1988
Some YTubers went on to claim that it was Jackie.
The Zapruder was doctored from the very beginning. It's not a good source for any info, other than someone (Life Magazine) messed with the tape. Original is apparently lost. That would be a cool thing to FOIA?
well-known theory, which he promoted in lectures, interviews (including a 1991 KUTV appearance), and his book, was that Secret Service driver William Greer fired the fatal shot with a special CIA-developed gas-powered/electrically operated pistol. He said this was visible in a withheld or “uncensored” version of the Zapruder film (sometimes called or linked to “Dallas Revisited”). In blurry or low-quality copies, a sun glare/reflection off the head of the front-seat passenger (Roy Kellerman) was misinterpreted as a gun.
ooper stated he first saw relevant documentation while in Naval Intelligence around 1972 (describing the driver as the assassin and the act as plainly visible on a withheld film).
I think he was set - up
he obtained and viewed a matching film copy in 1988—from John Lear (who said it came via a CIA-linked source, identified in some accounts as Lars Hansson)—in late October 1988 or around a December 1988 conversation. He then began showing and distributing copies (often multi-generation, low-quality ones) at talks. A clearer or first-generation copy later led him to note apparent emulsion scraping or other issues in the frames, but he stuck with the Greer claim.
Critics (including JFK researchers like Robert Groden and analyses of the film) have long noted that Greer’s hands stay on the wheel, the “weapon” is a visual artifact of glare/reflection in poor copies, and the theory is physically inconsistent with the known film, eyewitness accounts, and evidence. Cooper’s version of the film has been described as a poor-quality composite or manipulated copy
This Oswald on the cover of "Life" was definitely doctored.
