Police: Children Trained to Carry Out School Shootings in New Mexico Compound

The father of a missing Georgia boy is facing charges of child abuse for running a compound in New Mexico training children to carry out school shootings.

Prosecutors filed documents alleging Siraj Ibn Wahhaj and four other adults ran a camp in the desert where hungry children were undergoing weapons training, the Associated Press reports. The children, whose ages range from one to 15 years old, were found in extreme squalor Friday when police arrested Wahhaj and his relatives Lucas Allen Morton, Jany Leveille, Hujrah Wahhaj and Subhannah Wahhaj. The defendants will be facing hearings soon to determine whether they will remain held without bond in jail.

Wahhaj is facing extradition to Georgia for a kidnapping case involving his son, Abdul-Ghani Wahhaj, who is still missing and would have turned 4 years old Monday. Officials said they are working to identify the remains of a boy found at the compound. Georgia officials had wanted Wahhaj since December when he had taken the boy away in order to perform an "exorcism," the boy’s mother Hakima Ramzi told police at the time. Ramzi later said Wahhaj was planning to conduct a ruqya (a form of Muslim prayer) for the boy, not perform an exorcism.

The boy has suffered from brain problems associated with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. He has been prescribed medication, and Ramzi did not know whether Wahhaj had any medication with him when he took the boy. Law-enforcement officials found the compound in Taos County just south of the Colorado border after a two-month investigation.

I agree, had the same thoughts exactly, I also would like to know who is funding this operation.

Posting of a story like this is good for those who may have missed it. I also wonder if there is connection with sealed indictments.

South Carolina Teen Convicted of Supporting ISIS

A 19-year-old South Carolina resident pleaded guilty on Wednesday to attempting to provide material support to ISIS. Zakaryia Abdin, 19, of Ladson, purchased weapons and created a social media account attempting to join ISIS. He also sought a handler to get him overseas to Syria or Egypt to make contact with the terrorist organization, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. "Abdin's attempt to provide material support to ISIS by traveling overseas put American lives at risk," said Assistant Attorney General Demers. "That is unacceptable, and I applaud the dedicated agents and prosecutors who stopped him and have achieved this successful outcome."

Abdin was arrested by the FBI at Charleston International Airport in March of last year when he attempted to board a plane to travel overseas to support ISIS. The DOJ said Abdin began his efforts to join the terrorist organization in January 2017 when he created a social media account. He visited the FBI in Mount Pleasant to meet with a special agent from the Joint Terrorism Task Force, who advised him about the FBI's counterterrorism investigations and the illegality of providing support to foreign terrorist organizations. According to the DOJ, after that date Abdin began to seek a handler to get him overseas to make contact with ISIS. He had extensive communications with someone he believed was affiliated with ISIS but who was an undercover FBI employee.

Abdin said he wished to join the Caliphate, serve in combat and talked about joining jihad. He also purchased numerous weapons including an SKS rifle which he modified from a 10-round to a 30-round magazine. He practiced at shooting ranges and a local gun store with an AK, SKS, and a 9mm. After receiving a passport, Abdin sent a message to the undercover FBI employee stating, "let the brothers know I am coming very soon."

"Once again, the Joint Terrorism Task Force has uncovered, investigated, and prevented terrorist activity with roots in South Carolina," said Special Agent in Charge Norris. "These results are made possible by the coordinated efforts of our federal, state and local partners, who are committed to sharing information and resources to protect our communities."

Abdin faces 20 years in prison when sentenced. Over 160 individuals in the United States have been charged with offenses related to ISIS since March 2014, according to the latest report released last week of the George Washington Extremist Tracker.

I certainly don't discount that by any measure, but I do believe there is probably a deeper political connection, looks like quite a bit of money invested in that camp.

Senate Leadership Fund Hits Bill Nelson for Memory Lapse: Senator Is ‘No Longer Dealing From a Full Deck’

The Senate Leadership Fund super PAC ripped Florida Sen. Bill Nelson (D.) as "no longer dealing from a full deck" on Wednesday in its latest attack on the 75-year-old lawmaker as out of touch and confused.

The group, which boosts Senate Republicans, highlighted a Tampa Bay Times article pointing out Nelson criticized his 2018 opponent, Gov. Rick Scott (R.), for lobbying the Environmental Protection Agency in 2010 to delay a new set of stricter water standards. The catch: Nelson wrote the EPA before Scott did to make a near-identical request: Nelson wrote a strikingly similar letter to the EPA, before Scott. The senator noted that at the time, EPA was getting lots of negative comments about the new rules from local governments, businesses and agricultural interests in Florida amid fears that the standards could apply to drainage ditches and discharges from treatment plants. "Clean water is a goal we all share," Nelson told the EPA on Sept. 16, 2010. "That is why it is imperative that this regulation is finalized in a deliberative manner, utilizing sound science and considering the effects of implementation. Rushing to finalize the rule could result in further uncertainty and unnecessary economic hardship for municipal government and Florida industry."

Nelson "said he did not recall writing it and said he would have to look into its origins" when asked about the letter, according to the Times. "It’s time for Bill Nelson’s caretakers to keep better tabs on the Senator’s whereabouts and public statements so that he is not embarrassed into admitting he’s no longer dealing from a full deck," SLF spokesman Chris Pack said in a statement. The SLF email included other examples of the Democrat seeming out of the loop, such as when Business Insider reporter Joe Perticone said Nelson didn't know what the Chinese telecom firm ZTE was. Many analysts and lawmakers have targeting the firm as a national security threat. Nelson is part of the Finance Committee's subcommittee on international trade. "Bill Nelson is losing it and needs to retire," Pack said in May. SLF also slammed him in July for giving a series of shifting positions on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. He called Kavanaugh a right-wing extremist after saying he would withhold judgment on his nomination until they met.

Nelson is seeking a fourth term in the U.S. Senate, but he faces a difficult re-election battle against Scott. Scott is concluding his second term as Florida governor this year and has held a narrow lead in recent polling.

I don't know that publication, did you find another reference for it? If true there should be a couple more places who picked up on it. It looks like a good possibility. I would just feel better about it if there are more sources.

Why is it when someone regrets a decision its always easier to blame someone or something else for it? Don't be a victim get busy fighting for your life, don't take no for answer, it up to you, it always has been!

Look I am not trying to minimize what you are going through but I stand firm on my belief that we all make our own decisions no matter what anyone does or does not say. What's the sauce you have for blame shifting.
