From what I understand it isn't a crime to release juror names, and it happens in low profile cases at times. CNN isn't openly stating the purpose is intimidationโ€ฆthey're suing in civil court (I assume) on a "transparency" narrative. Angle is that judge is biased (when in reality, he just sees that it's all a political sham). And the judge said he was threatened, probably anonymously. So they are able to get around any laws like that. But if a juror were intimidated, they could sue CNN for forcing their identity to be public.
