The more you know …

Tony Podesta according to this 1998 Wired article " Both were Clinton loyalists: Tony had run the Clinton-Gore campaign in Pennsylvania in 1996".

John Perry Barlow shows up in this article too. "And though Podesta still sees people like John Perry Barlow, Jerry Berman, and Esther Dyson - he midwifed the birth of the Electronic Frontier Foundation in his living room, and characteristically remained friendly with all the founders after a bitter split - their conversation is more likely to center on politics than technology."

It's all connected.

Digging on Marina Abramovic, I ran across an article about the exhibition she did at the Vienna Biennale in 1997. There is a short film showing the art piece. It is very dark so watch at your own risk. https://www.dilettantearmy.com/facts/ritual-repetition-mourning-part-1

I read the artistic interpretation of this piece, and something is not quite right. To have your audience viscerally experiencing death, and massive death at that, is invoking too much darkness.
