Lemp Mansion Cherokee Cave System Downtown St. Louis
I was digging on the notable post here, and I noticed that the Lemp family, a very historical beer brewing family in St. Louis, had a cave system to be able to brew at regulated temperatures before technology advanced, just like Anheuser Busch. The Lemp's Caves are known as Cherokee Caves.
The Lemp Mansion is known for being haunted because many of the Lemp family members committed suicide in that mansion. People still go there for dinner and overnight ghost seeking.
I was looking at the map and noticed that some of the old maps have a [swimming pool] area, and I couldn't help but think of the Vanderbilt's swimming pool and the post that I am replying to.
I also looked at the marine maps of the Mississippi river to show that the Mississippi River is the most important inland shipping route in the US, and it definitely is in connection with the Illinois River. The Lemp Mansion is very close to the Port of St. Louis, where huge barges dock and a lot boat traffic goes through. St. Louis and their archdiocese is being investigated. The St. Louis archdiocese used to own the land of the West Lake Landfill. There are a bunch of big hospitals in St. Louis too. I wonder if there could be a year-round harvest.
