considering the age of the club and it's reciprocal club geography it's kinda on the down low. Not many photos either, especially considering membership cell phone rules.

THE CLUB

Since colonial times, sharing interesting conversations or debates with friends was and has been a habit of Chilean society. The arrival of the Independence, and therefore, the political effervescence made that the social meetings became more frequent, above all between people who had the same ideologies.

The lack of instances for these gatherings, created a distancing between the government and opponents. For this reason during the presidency of Mr. José Joaquín Pérez (1861-1871), Mr. Rafael Larraín Moxó was a nexus between the President and the opposition, receiving in his house the most outstanding members of both tendencies.

On July 8, 1864 , with the idea of creating a space for tolerance and understanding of men of different currents, the Club of the Union was founded, where to this day, generations of prominent businessmen have gathered, industrial, professional, political and diplomatic to discuss important events both national and international.

Having personalities among its members has contributed significantly to the social and cultural life of our city.
