Funny you mentioned that. Many of us were afraid to tell what happened when we got home because, well, we would get in trouble again. One mother did put her foot down and came in to class as a 'part time' teacher. One student (Eric 10 years old) stood up and hit one of the nuns back. Still to this day we praise him for it.
I grew up in a different time. Not boomer time, but somewhere in-between them and the millenials. In my town, the church ruled. What they said was gospel (pun intended). All in all though I can let that go….can't let go of the fact I am one of their babies for sale..Baby Scoop Era stuff. I can't forgive them for that. They sold me for profit.
