Can either of you help me see the connection of Nazis to the skull and bones of Yale?
Skull symbolism is used all over, so we'd need a stronger association than shared symbols.
The only other connection is Bush and his alleged family connection to Nazis. But if we use that as proof of the connection to the skull and bones of Yale, we're engaging in circular reasoning. Or am I missing something else?

Yes, I looked at the graphic. I said the connections seemed too loose. We have to be careful of using an occurrence of common symbols as proof of association. Same with the pedo stuff. Just pizza doesn't equal pedo. Just skull symbolism doesn't automatically equal Nazi.
This article only uses the connection to Yale's skull and bones with the fact that Nazi's used skull symbolism. See above. It's too loose a connection.

Anon, I'm sorry, but first, this isn't strong in the sauce dept. But also, bakers can't read thru docs searching for connections Anons don't specify. That's more a researching role, which most of us bakers do plenty of off-duty, but can't do while on. When presenting docs as sauce, please point out the specific claim sauced by a specific passage and where it is in the document, preferably with a screen cap.
If you have a legitimate source that links skull and bones to Nazis beyond shared skull symbolism, I'm happy to note it.

Is there a Nazi connection here? Again, when we need more than shared symbolism. Like you said, pirates use skull symbolism, but so do lots of people. Shakespeare used skull symbolism, Grateful Dead used skull symbolism, Tim Burton used skull symbolism. Research uses evidence. Associations should spur digs, yes, but they're not notable unless they uncover traceable connections of actual persons exchanging actions or property.
