"There exists a caste of people who subsist off of pretending to lead people to a greater future. These people use the perception of pain and anguish; of the general good in humans which detest these things, in order to enrich their estates and control the course of human civilization.
This caste has believed itself to be humanity's rightful masters and we, the servants, are given purpose/meaning through their existence. There is no law they see as applying to them, there is no action they take seen as bound by law.
They have used this to climb to the ranks of governments around the world while treating people as their pawns in games of clans and family names. It is only natural, given their world views, that they would entrench themselves within all forms of media.
From these positions, they have manipulated laws, agencies, armies, currencies, and nations. The surveilence state, in particular, has been indespensible in securing the hold on politics and to ensure no populist uprising brings this system into jeopardy. So confident are they in this hold that they do not bother to properly hide their disregard for law.
When patriots within the state awoke to the travesty in front of them, they allowed one such populist into the most powerful political seat in the world.
A war has been fought in the shadows most do not know exist - indeed, most are never supposed to find out these shadows exist to be fought in.
Thus, the world into which Q offers a glimpse. A world we were never supposed to see, and events that were supposed to remain highly classified. Declassifying them exposes the existence of these shadows to the public and allows us to see with our own eyes how deceptive "the interests of national security" can be.
