If you believe what the bible tells us, that God occasionally chooses one of us, speaks directly to them and orders them to wipe out certain evils - then who is to say that he stopped doing that. Could happen at any time. There is much evil that needs to be destroyed. Seems to me there is someone actively doing that - as we speak.
