Been seeing anons posting this symbol lately and thinking it is cabal-related. It might be that they use it, but that's not where it comes from.

 

That is the Brand of Sacrifice from the japanese manga Berserk. It is placed on those who are sacrificed to demons, and it marks their flesh as valid for consumption. One must sacrifice other people to become a Demon Lord.

 

This video is from the 1997 Berserk anime showing the demons eating the band of the Hawk after Griffith sacrificed them using the Crimson Behelit:

This video is from the recent Netflix remake, showing one of the Demon Lords applying the Brand of Sacrifice to the Band of the Hawk right before they are eaten by demons. The circumstances are the same, it's at least indirectly Griffith's fault.
