Perhaps its involving magnetic fields or directed frequencies used to raise pressure in lines or even exploding in specific locations.
If i am remembering correctly my kids have a Cars 2 or Cars 3 not sure which one. In that movie they use a frequency weapon to blow up the gas in the cars as they drive by. Im sure it was used in that movie because its something they have done in real life.
