The company on the 34th floor is Centrality Communications, run by Shaowei Han. SH also runs Unicore. These two (and SH) are deeply into the manufacture of GPS technology, including chips.
I looked in to Renee's background a bit. Her main claim to fame seems to be buying McAfee for $7.7B and then divesting half of it when it was valued at $4.2B. Likely, they sold half for $2.1B. That's a cool $5.5B loss (51% was sold, so they lost control with the sale). Then she was promoted.
She is on the Citi board, but more interestingly, she was on the board of VMWare, who is setting up virtual WANs for business. This technology seems to put them right between all business dealings. What better place to be to control companies than where their data is shared?
I will keep looking. Ol' Renee seems to have been groomed to her position without any real talent for being there. Sort of like O' was, I would think. Definitely worth a deeper look.
