You differentiated between patriotic Jews and other groups. When Q first mentioned Barlow on Jan 27th, I assumed it was in reference to his 2015 heart attack that I have not seen anyone else mention here. I thought it was weird at the time because he was dead broke despite having song writing royalties on most of Bob Weir's musical catalog. I didn't think it was making him rich, but along with his many other endeavors it would seem he could get by. In addition to a wellness trust, there was a benefit concert to help him pay his medical bills.

 

My point is that all indications are that Barlow was [ourguy]. He published a Cyberspace Declaration of Independence [sauce in link] and is even pictured as he was recovering from his heart attack wearing a TRUMP/SNOWDEN t-shirt. He was an NSA agitator and fought to keep government OUT of our internet and our information PRIVATE. Thinking of the timeline of Barlow's first heart attack… it is suspiciously close to net neutrality conversations for which be would be a very loud and outspoken opponent. With a large liberal following through Weir, he could potentially and effectively reduce the number of NN proponents. He didn't die then but it's a high probability that he was served a second helping of myocardial infarction.

 

Barlow was always a conservative and his Dad served in the CA state senate as a republican. Based on these pieces of information it is highly unlikely that he was a willing participant with Clowns. I'm sure he was infiltrated and that he knew about it and was fighting back. When they got tired of fucking around with him, they heart attacked him.

A suggestion to alter your thinking, expectations, and approach to what's currently happening. So much is breaking so fast we can't even keep up with it. In the past it was pretty much one event at a time. If Q didn't lead us up to it, he was certainly right there when it happened. Normally it was the only game in town.

 

Today, not the case. Like a bad episode of I Dream of Jeannie (okay they were all really bad) it's now starting to look like two, three, or more things a day just appear out of the blue. Now we have this new informant, this new firm, this new scandal. Before we can digest it, one or two more hit.

The 70-year-old San Francisco resident “passed away quietly in his sleep” Wednesday, the EFF confirmed. Mitch Kapor, another EFF founder, said Thursday that Barlow had been ill for some time.

Barlow wrote many essays. His famous piece, the “Declaration of the Independence of Cyberspace,” written in February 1996 — shortly after the passage of the Telecommunications Act, which overhauled telecom law and which he decried — has taken on a new meaning as the internet has taken over the world.

 

“We are creating a world that all may enter without privilege or prejudice accorded by race, economic power, military force, or station of birth,” Barlow wrote. “We are creating a world where anyone, anywhere may express his or her beliefs, no matter how singular, without fear of being coerced into silence or conformity.”

 

Kapor, founder of software company Lotus, said Thursday in a phone interview that he met Barlow after reading his online post about an unpleasant encounter he had with FBI investigators over what they thought was his connection with some hackers. Kapor had had a similar experience, so he sympathized. They met in person in Wyoming and talked about the need to advocate for digital rights. Soon afterward, early Sun Microsystems employee John Gilmore got on board by writing “a significant check” and became an EFF co-founder.

 

Rock fans will likely best remember Barlow for his work with the Grateful Dead, primarily as a co-songwriter with Bob Weir. Although he often lived in the shadow of the Dead’s more famous lyricist — Robert Hunter, who worked primarily with Jerry Garcia — Barlow was an amazing wordsmith, who helped pen a number of Grateful Dead staples, including “The Music Never Stopped,” “Cassidy” and “Estimated Prophet.”

 

“This life is fleeting, as we all know — the Muse we serve is not,” Weir said on Twitter about Barlow’s passing. “John had a way of taking life’s most difficult things and framing them as challenges, therefore adventures. He was to be admired for that, even emulated. He’ll live on in the songs we wrote…”

 

Barlow, who was born Oct. 3, 1947 in Wyoming, met Weir while in high school in Colorado. The two began collaborating in the early ’70s, with Barlow reportedly planning on moving out to join Weir. Yet, Barlow ended up staying in Wyoming to work on his family ranch after his father had suffered from a stroke.

 

Still, Barlow became heavily involved on Weir’s first solo album, 1972’s “Ace,” which contained many of their best collaborations, like “Cassidy,” “Looks Like Rain” and others that went on to become Grateful Dead concert classics.

 

“John Barlow wrote a number of wonderful songs with Bob Weir for the Dead, from ‘Weather Report Suite’ to “The Music Never Stopped’ to ‘Feel Like a Stranger’ and lots more, but he meant more than that,” says Dennis McNally, Grateful Dead historian and author of the band’s official biography “A Long Strange Trip: The Inside History of the Grateful Dead.”

 

Barlow is survived by daughters Leah, Anna and Amelia Barlow, his first granddaughter, Willah Brave Barlow Dunwoody, and his former wife, Elaine Parker.

In initial disclosures about critical security flaws discovered in its processors, Intel Corp. notified a small group of customers, including Chinese technology companies, but left out the U.S. government, according to people familiar with the matter and some of the companies involved.

 

The decision raises concerns, security researchers said, as it potentially could have allowed information about the chip flaws, dubbed Spectre and Meltdown, to fall into the hands of the Chinese government before being publicly divulged. There is no evidence any information was misused, the researchers said.

 

Weeks after word of the flaws first surfaced, Intel’s choices about who would receive advance warning continue to ripple through the security and tech industries.

 

The flaws were first identified in June by a member of Google’s Project Zero security team. Intel had planned to make the discovery public on Jan. 9—people working to protect systems from hacks often hold off on announcements while fixes are devised—but sped up its timetable when the news became widely known on Jan. 3, a day after U.K. website the Register wrote about the flaws.

 

Because the flaws can be leveraged to sneak sensitive data out of the cloud, information about them would be of great interest to any intelligence-gathering agency, said Jake Williams, president of the security company Rendition Infosec LLC and a former National Security Agency employee. In the past, Chinese state-linked hackers have exploited software vulnerabilities to get leverage on their targets or expand surveillance.

Give me a break. I've been hear for over 3 months and reading as many threads as I can keep up with, and even done quite a bit of genealogy research on Roth wives myself. Someone in the last bread reposted my translation out of context. I want to make it clear that this is a COMMUNIST slogan. It applies to what American leftists/Dems are doing today. It has nothing to do with Russia except that the Russian people rebelled against this Communism in 2000 and have been doing quite well since then. America too will be great again, once the Communist cabal is defeated.
