Who is Solicitor General Noel Francisco?
>Solicitor General Noel Francisco
With the resignation of Rachel Brand on February 8, 2018, Francisco became the fourth-ranking official in the Justice Department; After Rod Rosenstein's potential firing on September 24th, 2018, Francisco would become the third-ranking official in the Justice Department.
If JS is not stepping in, the Mueller probe oversight would be with Rachel Brand, correct?
lol, or by leaking his resignation letter vie Comey to the NY Times
So, who would be next in line after [RR] if JF is not stepping in?
or
Trump, however, could potentially throw yet another wrench in these works. The Vacancies Reform Act ordinarily permits the president to temporarily fill a vacant Senate-confirmed job with an acting appointment. Yet it is far from clear that Trump may do so if Rosenstein refuses to resign and instead forces Trump to fire him. By its own terms, this act applies when an incumbent officeholder โdies, resigns, or is otherwise unable to perform the functions and duties of the office.โ It is not clear that the act can be triggered if an official is fired.

Rosenstein was at the White House Monday and a source said he expected to be fired. He met with chief of staff John Kelly and spoke with Trump, who is in New York.
"At the request of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, he and President Trump had an extended conversation to discuss the recent news stories," White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement. "Because the President is at the United Nations General Assembly and has a full schedule with leaders from around the world, they will meet on Thursday when the President returns to Washington, DC."
