When machining metals on a mill; First you HOG the piece down (greater amounts of metal in the first few cuts). As you get closer to the required dimension, your cuts are reduced drastically until your final cut which is so minuscule to reach required tolerance., NO CHATTER marks are left to an almost polished finish. Then POLISHING can occur to bring out the BRIGHTEST SHINE! I suspect what the anons have not witnessed is the HOG part of the plan. What we now IMO witness is the chattering as the system (PART) is being formed. We may not see the POLISHING, but we surely will experience it. God Bless WWG1WGA
