Maybe this is common knowledge, but it caught me by surprise. Paul Begley here says that the Clintons spent their honeymoon in Haiti in 1975 and had made numerous trips there bringing back artifacts of various kinds. Sounds like they had a relationship with Haiti well before the earthquake debacle.
