I agree with you. I don't really have an opinion on the JFK Jr. thing but DAMN it brings the shills out in droves. Somebody somewhere does not like the idea being tossed around, that much seems clear to me. I too think it would be super cool if he faked his death. There is definitely evidence that supports the claim i.e. buried at sea, footage of the wreckage destroyed, the stories put out about him being in over his head with the aircraft, etc…I do think R was a larp but that doesn't mean that Jr. doesn't live.
